1. The major differences between the selected participants in North Korea and the defectors in South Korea. First, the selected participants in North Korea were very loyal to Kim Jung Un. In one particular interview, a woman said, “I wait with bated breath to hear from Kim Jung Un”. She told the reporter that perhaps she would see something even in the newspaper about Kim Jung Un. What are some human rights abuses that were discussed in this video? How might the knowledge of these human rights abuses influence the behavior of the North Korean people?
The human rights abuses that were discussed in the video were; forced labor, starvation, torcher, and the denial of freedom of speech. As a result, the knowledge of these human rights abuses influences the North Korean people to become defectors. After the death of Kim Jung Un s father; the North Korean people were hopeful that he (Kim Jung Un) would bring change to their country. In spite of their desire for changes Kim Jung Un continued to carry out the same trends of his father. As a North Korean official stated at the end of the video, “seeing is believing”. From what you have seen in this video, what is your impression of the quality of life in North Korea and how are North Koreans influenced by the government?

After watching the video, my impression of the quality of life in North Korea is that they live a very minimal quality of life. A systematic, inhumane government of social control. The people of North Korea have been influenced by the government thru dictatorship and the ruling of Kim Jung
