People who do bad things some of which are illegal and some legal for the purpose of accomplishing good ends are guilty of “Noble-cause corruption.” It usually occurs in circumstances where there is little chance of being held accountable. At the end of it all, Goren is seen as a rat but he was the detective that actually used good ethical values to keep the community and people safe. While the other police officer uses corrupt and immoral choices to get what he wants, which in the end had someone killed. In conclusion, either while watching television or listen to the news you hear of how certain things are tainting our criminal justice system or that certain things or people are being corrupted in the system.
