ROSTRA PRECISION CONTROLS
Nissan VSS-from-instrument cluster investigation
Executive Summary:
On the Nissan Frontier/Titan applications, VSS is obtainable from a single wire in the instrument cluster and the Controller Area Network (CAN). The instrument cluster VSS wire is not always pre-installed because, in this case, it is not part of a safety critical system; it only used for accessories.
Inside the instrument cluster, the VSS generating circuit is configured to be a “open collector/drain”. This means the circuit switches between the GND and Open Circuit (Hi-Z) states. This circuit configuration is not able to be reliably detected in all cases by the current 57A-02360 without modification; an additional resistor (pull-up resistor) is needed to complete the circuit. When the VSS wire is pre-installed and is connected to other Nissan accessories, the Nissan accessories provide this pull-up resistor and 57A-02360 installation is reliable.
Engineering recommendation: revisit all accessible installations and replace modules with module with 100KOhm pull-up resistor built in. Modify all in-house stock to include pull-up resistor, and replace all distributer stock with modified units.

INTRODUCTION AND ISSUE HISTORY
Several 250-1856 kits have been returned to Rostra with various failure modes being listed as the reason for the return. The reported malfunctions ranged from: “Cruise doesn’t work right” to Mr. Garret’s issue of unintended and erratic acceleration. On Thursday, February 25, 2010 an investigation was launched when the unintended acceleration malfunction was reported to Rostra Engineering.

...REWORK INSTRUCTIONS
All solder work must be done with ESD protection at properly grounded work stations.
Step 1
Remove back cover of 57A-02360 using a T-8 Torx driver. (Photo 1) Lift the cover and set aside. Locate pins 2,3 of the 12-pin Molex connector (Photo 2)
Step 2
Without removing the PCB from the upper portion of the case, dispense a small quantity of liquid flux between pins 2 and 3 of the 12-pin Molex connector. (Photo 3)
Step 3
Solder a 100KOhm 0805 5% resistor between pins 2 and 3 of the 12-pin Molex connector. (Photo 4) Take care not to create a short circuit to the Via marked in Photo 4.
Step 4
Replace the back cover of the cruise control. Use a permanent marker to mark a dot after the serial number, See below:
Step 5
Execute testing procedure.
• If test is OK: Proceed with kit assembly
• If test FAILED: Send module to Quality Assurance
...rs and glow plugs from the valve cover gasket. Once that is done unplug the gasket from the wiring harness and remove it from the head. There is three bolts on each injector one which is holding the oil splash shield to the injector and two holding the injector to the head. To remove the injector you only have to remove the bottom bolt from the injector. then you get a pry bar and gently pry on the injector until it pops out. Install a new injector you put it in the injector cup and lightly smack it with a rubber mallet until it seats in the head.
...t cases, this section of wire can be replaced with a simple 2 wire T5 harness. The 2 wires goto the reverse light switch and the other 2 wires are connected with a jumper wire already on the harness. If you find out there are driveability problems, you may have to also connect the neutral switch on the tranny.
New companies encounter various obstacles, particularly if it is a small business. Regardless of what each individual live their lives, he or she will require some assistance at a certain point in their life. Accepting assistance when needed is comparable to how Peng defined strategic alliance “a voluntary agreement of cooperation between firms” (2009, p.190). Dash Labs Inc. is a company founded in New York. This organization made products that included hardware devices and smartphone applications that provided current feedback pertaining to your motor vehicle such as how much gas has been used along with diagnosing your vehicles check engine light (Perez, 2014).

Now you can replace the transmission fluid. You will have to do this with the help of dipstick tube, and with a longneck funnel. Pour a less amount of transmission fluid than you collected in the milk jugs. After you have poured the new transmission fluid in the pan, start the engine and allow it run for at least a minute. Make sure that the service and parking brakes are applied; you will have to move the gear selector through each gear till park.
If you have any doubts or do not feel like you are that mechanically inclined you should go the safe route and bring it to a professional place.
People who have experience with fully Automated Driving System would encourage me to use it.
We soon attach SP 8278, a “tunnel motor” to the front of our lash-up, ahead of the dead 7551.
It usually has two pins. One of them is connected to the car’s battery and the second one is connected to the ECU.
Making sure to run a records check on the VIN # if no plate was available.
Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) have received much attention in recent years in academia, industry and standardization entities due to their wide impact on people's life as their scope to provide vital applications and services to improve transportation safety and mobility and to optimize the usage of available transportation resources and time. ITS applications and services rely on advanced technologies to be deployed and distributed among the intelligent infrastructure systems and vehicles system. Mainly, these technologies include but not limited to physical world perceive technologies that able to perform real world measurements and convert them into the digital world, processing and storage capabilities that operate on the digital measurements by storing, analyzing them and communication technologies include wired and wireless technologies to exchange the collected data among the vehicles them self and also to their infrastructure and vice versa.
The first step in disassembling the flashlight was taking off the top containing the reflector as shown in figure B. The sides were lined with threaded ridges that screw onto the ridges on the inside of the flashlight. Next, in figure C, I slid out the battery container. It is shaped like a truncated cone so that it could easily slide out in order to replace the batteries without interfering with other parts. In figure D, I removed the screw, which works similarly to the reflector. Figures E and F show the parts I removed by sliding the batteries from the container, which were cylindrical to fit inside the cone-shaped container. Figures G and H show the removal of the batteries from the battery container. The green board on top of the battery container is the circuit board. The container in G has a spring which makes it easier to fit all 3 batteries(H). It also causes them to be aligned through and keeps them in close contact. Figure I pictures a piece that slides into the ridges inside the flashlight. This prevents the button (J) and spring (K) from falling out of place. The spring makes it easier to push the button and also keeps the button outside of the flashlight. Finally, Figure L depicts the exterior of the flashlight without any of the loose parts. It is shaped to decisively fit all the parts
