Hello gamers! I'm Andrew McNeil, and today, there are a few facts you should know. With a new generation of video game consoles, I’m sure you are all eager to buy the best system. The problem is, (point towards crowd) you can’t decide which one to actually buy. That’s why reviews were invented: to let people know what the best game system is.
Up first is something you probably expect in a review. The Nintendo may have the best graphics of this generation. Why? They are 3-D.
If you gamers have ever played the Nintendo Entertainment System or the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, then you know that games used to be 8-bit and 16-bit. This means that games used to be very poor in graphics. They didn’t have the capacity for many detailed designs.

the Nintendo 64, all of this changes. Thanks to the 32-bit and 64-bit era of video games, the games have the capacity to go into detailed and intricate graphics. This makes 3-D graphics possible. Let’s go ahead and get down to business: the Nintendo 64 console is relatively cheap, hitting the market at $199. Compared to the Playstation, which was $299 when it first came out, it really is cheap. With a simple cardboard box design for the packaging, it’s no wonder that the Nintendo 64 is inexpensive. Plus, with not really any moving parts, the Nintendo 64 is durable. Because of this, it’s rare to find a case where a Nintendo 64 stopped working for mechanical reasons, unless, of course, the owner doesn’t know how to take care of their consoles and video games. Then there will be a few technical issues. (Pause for laughing) Beside the point, the Nintendo 64 was probably built to be almost indestructible, while being pretty cheap. Now that we’re through the console durability and cost, we go on to the actual games. First we talk about the loading times. Loading times are something every gamer is concerned about. Why are we concerned, you may ask? Because us gamers like to play games right now as soon as they are put in the system. The Nintendo 64 luckily has short loading times, thanks to the cartridge that games are on. It’s simple why Nintendo even decided to use cartridges: the compact discs take way too long to load. So, with the cartridge system still in play, there are much shorter loading times. There is, however, a twist. Even though Nintendo 64 games take a very short time to load, you still have to wait for all of the developer and producer screens, so you’re basically sitting through a CD loading screen. I understand that Nintendo had to give credit to the developer, producer, editor, graphic designer, etc, but come on, isn’t that what the credits are for? Seriously though, the amount of crediting they put at the BEGINNING of the games is ridiculous, even if the game loads instantaneously. The Nintendo 64 may have a lot of games up for playing, but it has nowhere near the amount of games the Playstation has. Now, 296 games may sound like a lot, but compared to 2355 games, it’s miniscule. However, among these mere 296 titles, there are some really good ones that could get Game of the Year award. First of all, we have the game called Super Smash Bros.
It is one of the best games made by far. Imagine every major Nintendo character fighting to win a competition. That’s basically what Super Smash Bros. is.
Next is a game with extreme innovations from it’s previous versions. That’s right, we’re talking about Super Mario 64. Take every basic aspect about Super Mario Bros.and throw it out the window. It goes from a 2-dimensional platformer to a 3-dimensional platformer, all because Nintendo knows how to get more fans of good games. Now I know what you’re thinking, “Why does Nintendo want more fans of their games?” The reason is simple. They love making games that everyone loves.
Last, but not least, we have the game Star Fox 64. This is a game where you fly through space trying to destroy your enemies before they ruin everyone’s lives. What makes this one better than all of the rest Star Fox games is that it has 3-dimensional graphics. However, this is not the only better difference from the previous game in the Star Fox franchise. This new game features a section where you actually play on the ground. This may as well be the best one out of the two.
Now, on to the last subject. These are pretty expensive
games. Why do I say this? Because some games can cost up to $200.00. That’s absurd! Meanwhile, Playstation games are only up to maybe $80.00. Big difference, right? Okay guys and gals, I’m going to wrap up here, because I've pretty much said all there is to say. Hopefully now you know which game system to buy.
Many people agree that Sony’s Playstation 4 is better than Microsoft’s Xbox One and vice versa. I have been gaming since I was seven years old and still am today. The first gaming console I ever had was the original Xbox. Throughout the years though, technology has improved vastly. The last generation of game consoles gave the industry a much needed boost and gave the consumer another commodity. With the eighth generation of consoles just arriving, a lot of people are wondering which console to buy. There is, however, more than just the choice of games. There’s differences in processors, graphics cards, hard drives, design, operating systems, ports, versatility, stability, controllers, and, of course, the games.
Although 'Super Metroid' is an action platforming game, it has a very heavy focus on player exploration as well; players must search for new abilities and paths to make progress, and are also rewarded with new upgrades if they return to previously accessed areas once they have a new arsenal at their disposal. The gameplay is very similar to previous Metroid titles ('Metroid'- released in 1986- and 'Metroid II: Return of Samus'- released in 1991), bu...
In this Paper I will be talking to you about the Next Generation Consoles and about all of their specifics. Next Generation Consoles are the newest and the best consoles and computers out there at this point in time. The consoles that will be my main focus in this paper are the, Xbox One and the PS4. The reason I picked these consoles instead of other consoles or computers is because I wanted to explain to you that these console were just not any other console, but a work of art instead.
Not much has changed since the duo made their Olympic debut. This year’s sports mini-game compilation continues to deliver a whimsical take on many Olympic sporting events and provides entertainment for players of all ages. Unlike the Olympics themselves, most of the mini-games found in Mario & Sonic Sochi 2014 are both fun and engaging to watch and play.
Do you or any of your friends play video games on a console? If you ask gamers the question, “gaming console you like the most?” they will probably say Xbox One or PlayStation 4. Xbox and PlayStation are known as the most popular gaming consoles of all the time. These two consoles have been competing for a very long time for the throne of the best game console since 2001 until now. In this article, we are going to find out which console has the best advertisement, We are going to determine this not by the console’s hardware, not by its cool features, and not by what exclusive games they have. It is because to grade the games and features are good or bad is kind of difficult because everyone can has different games
Ever experienced a video game with stunning in-game graphics that some games give only in their major event cut scenes? Ever played a game with an excellent mixture of strategy and fast-paced motion? Well if that game is Final Fantasy 13, a single player game developed by Square Enix, you have played a game that Gaming Age calls “one of the most gorgeous games to grace a video game console”. Playing this game was one of the greatest moments of my life. This game has actually influenced me to go full force in wanting to make video games for a living. Final Fantasy 13, in my opinion, has accentuated the great gaming potential of the Xbox 360® and Playstation® 3 consoles.
In the console-gaming world people know Sony and Nintendo. Microsoft may be the largest and richest software company in the world, but it’s unknown when it comes to console gaming. Microsoft is counting on the Xbox to change that perception. Gamers may not be willing to take a chance with the Microsoft Xbox, even if it is far superior to any console ever made. Nintendo Gamecube is nothing if charismatic. Nintendo’s new machine is half the size of any other console and looks like a toy with its brightly colored plastic shell and handle. It’s destined to be home of such popular games as Mario, Donkey Kong, Pikachu, and Kirby. Nintendo Gamecube seems mismatched as it goes up against the Microsoft Xbox and the Sony Playstation 2 (a multimedia mayhem that Sony says it’s supposed to be “The Future Of Entertainment”). All this makes you think; what makes Nintendo believe it can possibly go up against the ultra-sophisticated Xbox.
The modifications that were made to these regular arcade games ware to make them smaller and compact. Since the new console to be released was a smaller version of those gigantic arcade games, one of biggest change was to make these consoles able to show video on a common household television. The console itself needed to be made smaller for easy carry and for it to fit in a home. Developers needed to make the power supply regular AA batteries. Next, they made the analog stick from the arcade version into a small knob used for movement. Last, the RCA cables were thinned, for easy transport. All of this didn’t obscure the fact that there was only one playable game in this console.

Video games started as arcade machines with simple graphics and even simpler stories, soon evolving into home gaming with The Magnavox Odyssey, the world’s first home-gaming console. It invaded living rooms in 1972, selling 300,000 units. Since then there has been many consoles and games released, some have been huge commercial successes which

Owning a gaming computer is one of the best investments a person can make in their life. Having a gaming computer can greatly influence one’s entertainment ranges and personal hobbies. Every gamer or anyone who occasionally games should have a gaming computer instead of a gaming console. A gaming console only provides people with basic programs and simple user interface while a gaming computer can be used for any needs one need. A gaming computer is one’s own cable box but better. Having a gaming computer you can have it fully customized to fit whatever theme you would like it to fit, can run many programs and other applications faster than a console, and can be loaded with a plethora of multiple useful programs one can use.
