Throughout the years, news medias from all sources have been reporting on recent events, and informing it to the public via television, social media, or even newspaper. One event has change most of the public opinion on news media, and that event was the 2016 U.S. Presidential election featuring Donald Trump and Hilary Clinton. Almost all news media were keeping track of the polls and reporting it to the public. However, some news media were bias towards one of the president nominee more than the other, so they either report more on the president nominee of their choosing, or refuse to report on any news of their opposing president nominee, or even make up news to hurt their polls. Before Trump’s presidency, CNN reported on how Donald Trump has a low chance of winning the election. Through various interviews from several politicians, who have declared that they don’t support Donald Trump. They reported various negative stories, such as the leaked recording of Donald Trump bragging on how he gets to sexual harass other women because of his popularity. These reports could have harmed Donald Trump polls in the elections and probably his chances of becoming president. After winning the 2016 Presidential Election, the CNN anchors ranted about Donald Trump, and one of them called Van Jones said that this is a “white lash”. CNN has a liberal viewpoint that contradicts with Donald Trump conservative views, thus they are more comfortable reporting news that could hurt his presidential election. These reports on Donald Trump have caused the public to move away from CNN, and the public now sees CNN as a less reliable news network compared to all the other networks on cable television. Fox news’s anchors have been professional when it’s come to reporting about Donald Trump actions. They don’t bash him about his decision, or made some small rants about his win in the presidential election. They congratulated him and his family, and while some of the anchors who disagree with the result only commented on it for a short while. One of the anchors called Tucker Carlson has a conservative view unlike the other news network anchors. He reported on Donald Trump winning with facts, and reasoning while criticizing other news networks, and celebrities saying that they, “keep informing the public that Donald Trump is a racist” while Donald Trump has more minority votes compared to previous republican presidents. These positive reports of Donald Trump have cause some Donald Trump supporters to watch Fox news more while others who oppose all the positive exposure refuse to watch them.
