The clear, turquoise sky was the perfect backdrop for a normal day in New York City. Crowded pavements surround every skyscraper filled with the hustle and bustle of people hurrying on their way. The air is alive with talking, freshly cooked food from stalls and carbon monoxide produced by the masses of taxis in the crammed streets. Car horns and other city noises prevent people from sleep in the many apartment blocks that litter the vast skyline.Central Park is the only greenery in the area, like a oasis in the blistering desert, Joggers gently weave in and out of obstacles such as people dawdling and inanimate objects. From above, the winding paths of the park lead back to the electricity of the city beyond.
At night, the concrete jungle comes alive on another level as the thousands of tiny windows on the high-rise buildings look like a million sparkling diamonds. The neon signs and giant billboards illuminate the streets full of bars and clubs. This really is the city that never sleeps. New York is my home. I realize that I just stepped foot in the greatest city once more.On my visit there, as I stood waiting for a taxi outside of the airport, it was immediately apparent to me that New York City was not the same as Orlando,Florida. It seemed like everyone there was in a hurry to get to another place. The loud and constant sound of cars honking was heard throughout the entire trip. As soon as a car seemed to be sedate, than the person behind him blew. My first experience visiting Times Square, I felt overwhelmed by the walking and talking in scores of different language, people that look somewhat bizarre to me.
