Newark is the largest city in state of New Jersey. Newark is located in Essex County and has population of 276,478. In 1963, Newark was formed as township. Newark is headquartered to many companies such as Panasonic, PSEG and prudential finance. Tourist can visit many places in Newark like New Jersey performing arts center, prudential center, brand brook park, Newark museum, New Jersey historical society, Newark symphony hall, military park, port Newark- Elizabeth, Verona park, brook dale park, fair mount cemetery, Jewish museum of New Jersey and Newark liberty international airport.

New Jersey historical society is a straw wide private, non profit historical library and museum. It is also the head quarters of the Essex club. Physical records of New Jersey's past and present are collected at the historical society. New Jersey historical society encourages public to use it collections for discovery, exploration and research. Historical library is open to public on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday from 12a.m. to 5 p.m. Newark symphony hall has a long and rich cultural history of New Jerseys art, education and entertainment program. The exterior of the building is built with ionic columns. The interior is marble designed with gold leaf ornamentation in Egyptian and Greek styles. Fairmount cemetery is a Victorian cemetery with many beautiful monuments. The Fairmount cemetery memorial is a 4 storage built in 1920s. The memorial is made of native granite with 3000 crypts and 600 niches. The cemetery offers research services and private tours. There are 150,000 graves in the 150 acre cemetery. Jewish museum of New Jersey was built in 1923. In early 20th century, there were many east European Jewish immigrants who came to New Jersey.
