I will be analyzing The New England Patriots who are an elite football team in the National Football League otherwise known as the NFL. They are a top tier team and within the last 15 years have won 4 Super Bowls and 6 AFC championships. When it comes to football they are the team to beat. The most common way that the Patriots communicate with its members would be over text. When they communicate with their fans they like to use social media because it is quick and it can inform millions of people within a matter of seconds. Another example would be of a Press Conference which is to inform those who are more involved in the sport of Football. Members of the franchise can consist of anyone who plays in the games, to those who coach the players, …show more content…
Since the Patriots are an elite team they expect not only the best players, but the best players character wise and do not accept anyone who does not uphold the characteristics ideally exemplified by the team. This is why the New England Patriots are one of the top teams in the NFL, and have been for 15 years.
The purpose of this team is to win football games so they may go to the Super Bowl and call themselves World Champions. In doing so they also reach out to the community to set a standard. The Patriots owner, Robert Kraft, has a charity in the name of the New England Patriots that the main goal is to give back. This charity has helped many institutions. Joining this elite team is not an easy task. To join the team there are a few different options. One is to have to be really good at football and played in college and have been drafted by the team to become a member. Another method is being a coach there are a few different options for coaching there are many options as there are 13 different coaches on the team. Another method is to become an equipment manager, or even be a field manager which gets the stadium ready for the games. There is a definite

Since they are such an elite team and are a winning team they have a large crowd that follows them all over the United States. The most of the players on the Patriots do most of the communicating on social media in the franchise. They communicate to the fans that follow them because the Patriots love to give back and have many opportunities for its fans to win tickets or have sweep stakes for many other offers. Not only do they have a lot of opportunities for you to win ticket, but there are also many days where they invite children to come practice with them, and the Patriots are also very involved with the Get Active which is a non-profit organization to help kids get active for 60 minutes a day or more. The messages are received through Twitter, Facebook, and many times Press Conferences. Using this social media fans are able to interact with its members and ask those questions regarding football or even what their favorite food is. The football players are more active on social media than the higher ups do to the fact that more people recognize the players more than the general managers or the owner and coaches. The players are more idolized than the owners because the fans are more able to recognize the players on social media or on the streets because the general managers and coaches do the work in the background without many people knowing. One example of the Patriots
“The Green Bay Packers are a non-profit corporation held by the citizens of Green Bay to run it’s football team”,who I think are the best, arguably are the most storied franchise in the National Football League, were organized on Aug,11, 1919, in the dingy second-floor editorial rooms of the old Green Bay Press-Gazette building, located on Cherry Street in downtown Green Bay. Never imagining what might become of the semipro football team being formed that day, nobody documented who was there or how many were on hand. There had been no announcement of the meeting beforehand, and the Press-Gazette provided no details about it the day after.Whether a full complement of players attended or if it was simply a
Their owner’s thirst for television coverage and eternal relevance has given him the nickname “The Ringmaster.” Enter New England Patriots. The team adorned in red, white and blue
…"more probable than not" that New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady knew of rule-breaking… (Smith) Which was going to result in a one million dollar fine to the New England Patriates and a four week suspension for quarterback Tom Brady. In the four game suspension Brady is to go without pay, (which is pocket change for him.) Yee released a statement Monday saying, "The discipline is ridiculous and has no legitimate basis. In my opinion, this outcome was pre-determined; there was no fairness in the Wells investigation whatsoever. There is no evidence that Tom directed footballs be set at pressures below the allowable limits." (Yee) A statement from Brady’s agent who is very upset over the matter.
Intro: In 1946 two members of the New York Giants were found associating with gamblers, trying to fix the NFL Championship Game. These members were suspended and in 1947 the NFL introduced their form of prevention, the injury report (Merritt). Every week NFL coaches have to list their injured players on the NFL Injury Report. Each player has to be listed as either “doubtful,” “questionable,” or “probable” to play that weekend. What a lot of people don’t know is that an ample amount of teams are lying on these reports. By skewing the truth on their player’s injuries it gives that team an advantage. Whether the coaches are putting healthy players on the list, injured players not on the list, or just lying about the severity of the injury, it is all affecting the teams and the fans. I have addressed the problems with the NFL injury report and focused my research on the integrity of the teams and their purpose for lying, how much lying is really going on, and the link between the injury report, the NFL, and gambling.
They have programs to help with the environment. They have a special way to pick players around the league and in the draft for their team. NFL teams and especially the Eagles keep a close eye on the player's health and how to keep them healthy. The Philadelphia have a fantastic model of how an NFL team should work based on their player health, how they engage with charities, and how they help the environment. The team that I am creating will not only be a great all around team, but also the effect they have on the community and on the environment. A NFL franchise is not only a football team, but it is a part of the community an organization that helps other things than just on the field during game day. My NFL team will not only be like the Philadelphia Eagles, but will add on even more great things to the team and improve the way a NFL franchise works and should be with the community and on the
The Pittsburgh Steelers have many strengths that separate them from their competitors in the National Football League. Strengths are what give drive to the fans, players, coaches, and other members of the organization to continue the success of the past as the organization moves into the future. Some of the main strengths of the Steelers’ organization are winning, stability, location, and the fan base. Many other strengths stem from these four core strengths, all of which help to validate such an established organization.
millions of dollars and endorsements for what they can do on the football field. Sometimes there
In college there are hated rivals that can’t stand each other. This causes college fans to have lots of pride in their teams. College stadiums also have student sections, which take the atmosphere on game day to the next level. College players know how the fans feel. This inspires them to play their hardest, and leave everything on the field to represent their school. In the NFL, instead of playing for a team because you want to represent them, players will play for teams who offer them the longest and largest contracts. Players hold out from participating in training camp because they want a bigger contract, and some even sit out games. The NFL seems to be more like a business, and geared towards making money. NFL players holding out, and being focused on money angers fans. Not all players are like this, but fans feel that the ones like this are being

The Pittsburgh Steelers are a professional team that has an extensive history. There are also many unique details about them that other NFL teams do not have. As a coach, I used a large amount of inappropriate language during coaching, as I would think of this as passion for the game, not really just frustration. Nearly all communication in football uses loud tones to communicate messages, whether the message is a play call or just a coach yelling at a player. When it comes to the written text relate to football whether it be a play, or a breakdown individual or team play. Such as specialized languages to understand football terms within the community or when talking to a coach about an offensive plan, terms may be used like: huddle, line of scrimmage, cover two, corner route, post, and several other terms used exclusively for football. To become a member of this community the team and its players must understand the terms as when a coach says cover two the players all know that it is a specialized defensive passing coverage. We also have someone who is calling the offensive plays in the huddle; who is the Quarter Back (QB) and is often referred to as the signal-caller. Therefore, this means he calls signals, or should I say the plays. He often gets these plays from the head coach on the sideline. This all happens within seconds from the sideline to the huddle, then all players line up on the line of scrimmage and the QB yells signals again. Although, there are all levels of members starting at the youth, to freshman through seniors in high school and college, which will change their language based on what level you, are at. The community specific genres of communication in this discourse community predominantly involve non-verbal methods of communication, including secret hand signals and other body language. This community contains many examples of highly specialized terminology for practically every football play or technique. There are experts players such as juniors and seniors in this community who will provide
Football, specifically NFL football, has become a staple of the annual holiday, something the NFL is keenly aware of.
As far back as I can remember, every year, uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends would gather at my family’s home to watch this event called the Super Bowl. It was something that could not be missed, because if you did, you were considered a lost cause. Everyone feels the need to belong. Some people find the answer to fulfill that need in sports. In the United States, the go-to sport is football.
There are thirty-two American football teams in the U.S., and the New Orleans Saints is one of them. A National Football League (NFL) team that originate from New Orleans, Louisiana. New Orleans Saints is a team that fans point at when it comes to unethical decisions. The press and investigators believe that the disputes have been going on a three year span, 2009-2012 (“New Orleans”, n.d.). The title of this uproar that lasted for almost three years is called the ‘Bounty Gate Scandal’. This scandal is known for the New Orleans Saints paying out bonuses to players for taking out opposing players of the game by injuring them (“New Orleans”, n.d.).
The New York Yankees are arguably the most storied and well-recognized sports organization in the world. “...they are perhaps the epitome of a large market baseball team (Emanuele, 2010). Not only do they have the most national championships in the history of North American sports, but they are valued as the highest sports franchise in the United States; being worth $2.3 billion according to Forbes.com. Their tremendous wealth, power, and influence is reflected by a fan base and awe that stretches world-wide. From the Bronx to South Korea, from Cuba to the Netherlands; the Yankee brand is known by just about everyone. The Yankees are referenced in movies and songs, and the Yankee cap has become a part of pop-culture as hollywood
