When I think of corporation culture I think of vision, beliefs, values having a united front and activities of member within the company that affect society and the environment. A company’s leadership provides the vision and support needed for ethical conduct, in order to be successful. As well as to maintain a good relationship with society companies needs plans and structure for addressing ethical concerns. (Ferrell et al, 2013 p.219) Yes I do think that New Belgium Brewing has developed a corporate culture that helps lead to ethical decision making. New Belgium Brewing although a small business is based in Colorado and founded by Jeff Lebesch was motivated while on a biking trip through Belgium. The case states “the company places great importance on the ethical culture of the brand.” (p.357) Furthermore explain that, what a company says and does must be synchronized. New Belgium Brewing knew about their core values and beliefs before the company was established. It adapted a triple bottom line to measure success was through profits, people and the planet. (p.358) Through New Belgium Brewing mission statement they dedicate it to quality, the environment, its employees, and to its customers. (p.358) Such as kindling social, environmental, and culture change as a business role model. Another example is Environmental stewardship: minimizing resource consumption, maximizing energy efficiency and recycling. Since employees are a reason for NBB success, employees are granted many benefits. Such as free catered lunch every month, after a year with the company are given a cruiser bike it that it allow to cut down on pollution. After 5 years earning an all expense paid trip to Belgium to “study beer culture.” (p.359) On top of all ... ... middle of paper ... ...of ethical decision-making. There is not one aspect about this case that makes me feel that they aren’t doing their job. This company has demonstrated that when a company has great core values and beliefs they can be successful. They are a company that has cared not only for their quality of their product but for their customers/staff, and its environment. NBB has given back to the community through donation and sponsors. To add-on they have also innovated ways that help out the environment. Personally I agree with the following statement in which NBB “Defining itself as more than just a beer company, the brewer also sees itself as a caring organization that is concerned with all stakeholders, including the community, the environment, and employees.” (p.362) Works Cited Ferrrell, O.
