Network Design Network Design is very important when it comes to implementing a connection between a computer and a server. According to Network world Websites, Network is defined as a “connected collection or devices and end systems, such as computers and servers, that can communicate with each other”(McQuerry). Network carry data in many types of environment, such as homes, small businesses, and large enterprises. Network Locations Is one of the major factors. There are different types and locations of network exist, including network in a home or home office to communicate through the Internet, to locate information, to place orders for merchandise, and to send message to friends. Whatever the reasons are, all these networks share common components. According to Network World, the most common network components are Personal Computer’s, interconnections, such as NICs, Networks media, and Connectors. Switches and Routers are also part of network components. When designing a network, couples of items are a must to have such fundamental goals, a drawing or diagram, The Hierarchical Network Design, IP addresses, routing protocols, Servers, and switches. Good Network does not happen on its own. Accordance to SCTE website, “The network diagram uses common symbols to capture information related to the network for planning, reference, and troubleshooting purposes. The amount of information and the details of that information differ from organization to organization”(Introducing Network Design Concepts). To design a decent network these steps must be follow: Verify the business goals, determine the features and functions required to meet the needs identified in the previous step, perform ad network assessment, c... ... middle of paper ... ...utions/Verticals/EttF/EttFDIG/ch 3_EttF.pdf>. To attempt to define a network in a few sentences would be a fool’s errand. A network could be seen as simply a grid of interconnecting connections between multiple bodies. However when this vision is applied to real-world systems, they all start to differ. There is not anything that exists in the universe that is not part of a network. A network is the result of different parts or members which have similarities in parts of their identity. This similarity that they have in common, they will also have with other bodies forming a network between them. Most of these factors of identity are different from those of most others. As a result, each factor will be in common with different other members of different networks. Each factor includes this body in a multitude of networks. This means that no one thing is in one and only one network, but is included in many.

This paper describes the basic threats to the network security and the basic issues of interest for designing a secure network. it describes the important aspects of network security. A secure network is one which is free of unauthorized entries and hackers
Connecting computers together to create a network greatly increases the communication capabilities and can even save a company substantial amounts of time and money. A well thought out network design from a small home network to a large corporate intranet can be a deciding factor in the success of a network. Two important steps in the designing of a successful network are the logical designing phase and physical designing phase. The difference between the two and the importance of each are explained in the following pages.

A well thought out network design from a small home network to a large corporate intranet can be a deciding factor in the success of a network. Two important steps in the designing of a successful network are the logical designing phase and physical designing phase. The difference between the two and the importance of each are explained in the following pages. To help in the explanation of the difference between logical and physical network design I will be using a fictitious textile company and work through the two design steps.

Local Area Networks also called LANs have been a major player in industrialization of computers. In the past 20 or so years the worlds industry has be invaded with new computer technology. It has made such an impact on the way we do business that it has become essential with an ever-growing need for improvement. LANs give an employer the ability to share information between computers with a simple relatively inexpensive system of network cards and software. It also lets the user or users share hardware such as Printers and scanners. The speed of access between the computers is lighting fast because the data has a short distance to cover. In most cases a LAN only occupies one or a group of buildings located next to each other. For larger area need there are several other types of networks such as the Internet.
Berean¡¦s existing network infrastructure is wire line, and uses a T1. Remote users access the network through a dial-up modem pool. Berean¡¦s wire line network model severely limits the accessibility and effectiveness of the Berean network. For example, employees in Berean facilities are unable to access the network easily from meetings, the cafeteria, or anywhere other than their offices. In addition, the effectiveness of remote users is limited by the slow speed of present-day dial-up modem connections.
Assigning the precise amount of network capacity in the right place at the right time is no simple task. Network Planners cannot afford to overbuild, as this would consume scarce investment resources that could be better used elsewhere. They also cannot delay expansion as this may result in poor service to customers and under-utilize other network assets. A balanced approach is needed in order to meet the rapidly growing and changing traffic demands. Advanced network planning and design software provides benefit to network planners in the following ways:
The network management plan and security plan is important to help the company figure out how they will improve its network and security procedures for the company. Planning involves outlining objectiv...

To Begin to understand Social Network theory more deeply, it is important to understand some of the key concepts of the theory. One of the main concepts of this theory is identifying what a network means. A network can be defined as a set of relationships (Dunn, 1983). The simplest kind of network contains two objects, such as two people, and a relationship that links them together. For example, two people that know each other would ...
Computers in technological development demand more efficient networking. In a very short period it has changed the way we have looked at things since centuries. It is one industry that is going to shape our future for centuries to come Coming from a background of Electronics and Communication Engineering, I have developed an interest to probe into the area of Networking and Computer Networks. Hence I wish to do Masters in Computer Science (CS) as my major.
