The need for achievement is the first factor of entrepreneurial attitude orientation (EAO) scale. It is defined as thirsty and propensity or serious effort by individual through obtaining a goal or managing things, circumstances, beliefs and criteria of the people (Wilder, 1989). This term is defined as generating new products, methods, markets or a fresh organization or conceptualized as the process of turn invention into a marketable product (Gabor, 1970). Achievement First (AF) is a charter network that began its work at a single charter middle school in New Haven, CT in 1998. In 2003, the founders created a 501(c) non-profit: Achievement First with the intention of having a broader impact on learning that just one middle school intended to serve students in grades 5-8: Amistad Academy. Over the next twenty years the network grew to encompass 34 schools in three states and serve over 11,000 students. The intention of the AF non-profit is to develop and implement programs that are on par with public school district spending in the towns where they are located as stated in their yearly reports. The financial records for Achievement First were located through the use of a GuideStar database search (GuideStar, 2017).
My most significant accomplishment would be placing second in the United States of America National FFA Agriscience Fair. Building up to this accomplishment was a challenge I never imagined to take on. It began with my FFA Chapter Agriscience Fair. I had decided against competing, but my adviser suggested I try. Pulling together a project, I placed second. This meant I would not compete at the state level. My adviser urged me to perform another project, under a new category, promising to take me to state. I worked hard and created a project in a week. Surprised, but true to his word, my adviser entered me into the State FFA Agriscience Fair. Upon my interview, I was nervous. The Achievement has been a reoccurring issue for many years within the education system. Achievement gaps refers to the academic performance within a set of students. The most vital indicators pertaining to the achievement gap is reviewing standardized tests, course selection, dropout rates, and college completion rates (Morris 227). This issue has been reoccurring because of the various attempts of reforms to close the gap. Some of the reforms to decrease the gap is “No child left behind act 2001”, recovery act, P-12 reform, and many more. It can be argued that these first reforms changed the education system to any extent. However it is evitable to find the most successful reform for the United States increase economically. Which is why this topic is important for North Carolina. The achievement gap is sustainably defined by the differences among not only racial groups but subgroups as well.
The late Peter F. Drucker wrote extensively on management, innovation, and entrepreneurship. In his writings, Drucker credited the “discipline of innovation,” or systematic management practices, as being the engine behind entrepreneurial success (1984, 1987, 1998). Furthermore, Drucker (1998) defined innovation as “the effort to create purposeful, focused change in an enterprise’s economic or social potential.”

From an early age, the importance of education was instilled within me. I was completely immersed in educational programs that were dedicated to educating young people who were interested in the medical field. By having a mother who is a registered nurse, I was constantly engulfed in dialogue centered around medicine and patient care. There was no space for other career possibilities in my life; my parents dedicated their time and energy to ensure that I partake in educational programs that ultimately led to the road of medicine. I was accepted into Hampton and granted an Achievement Scholarship, which I was able to maintain scholarship for the duration of my undergraduate career. Students that receive an Achievement Scholarship possessed at least a 3.5-grade point average in high school. In order to retain the scholarship, students must maintain a 3.3-grade point average at the conclusion of each school year. My most meaningful achievement was receiving a City Council Citation award on behalf of Laurie Cumbo and Robert E. Cornegy for my work with the Brooklyn Summer Shakespeare-ience. During that summer I worked with this program as a sound engineer where I created a soundtrack for the play A Midsummer Night's Dream and was also in charge of controlling the audio during various performances in Brooklyn. I have made many achievements in my life. I am happy to be such an achiever at things. I remember my first achievement which was in kindergarten. In kindergarten I got on the honor roll for the first time. I was so happy, but I was just happy because my mom was happy. I didn’t even know what honor roll meant, but I finally founded out that is meant that I got all A’s. My mom was so happy for me, and I got lot of money for my A’s. After that my next achievement was that I learn how to ride a bike. When I first started to ride a bike with no training wheels I kept on falling. After I kept falling I didn’t want to learn anymore, but I saw that my little cousin was riding a bike, so I just had to learn how to ride a bike. Finally, after all the sores and burses, I learned how to ride a bike. I still fall every now and then.
