Extracurricular involvement through one's school, is a key and crucial factor in succeeding, while growing and developing during the early stages of a student's life. I am an actively involved and motivated student, for I participate in numerous school activities while consistently undertaking superb grades. Throughout my past two years in middle school, I have prospered in the following activities: Newspaper club, Cross Country, Track, Academic Olympics, the Ocean County Math League, Chorus, National Junior Honor Society, and finally, Student Council. In the duration of these activities, I have flourished and excelled greatly. Every Wednesday, for the past two years, I have completed writing and editing every edition for Memorial Middle School’s monthly newspaper. I have written a variety of columns, everywhere from witty cartoons to alluring reports and announcements. I allot conductive advice toward students, helping them to write better and drag the readers deeper into the article, forcing them to continue to read. As you can see, I am a runner and have been for all three years of …show more content…
National Junior Honor Society is a wonderful way to experience and become involved with the community and the society. The team ventures to the beach, park and forest annually with an organization called, The Barnegat Bay Blitz. We also have the demand for at least two hours of community service per marking period (eight hours each school year), along with a grade point average of at least 94%. I participate in events such as the PTO Babysitting, where I watch younger children in my district's elementary school. I play games, color and have a great time getting to know the younger students. Most recently however, I began participating in the PAW Program. With the PAW program I help other students with their homework, their organization, and the ideal mindset for excelling in
Some of my extracurricular activities include Science Olympiad, STEM Academy, International Club, Advanced Academics Club, and Chem Club. During high school I have participated in various community-based organizations, the two most common being Beta Club and National Honor Society. However while these clubs have allowed me to give back to my community in numerous ways, it was strangely not either of these clubs that expanded my interest in the following particular social issue. Rather it was my involvement in Science Olympiad, specifically volunteering to help run a local Elementary school tournament, that expanded my view of the STEM field.
I am exceptionally grateful for this opportunity to possibly be a member of this very prestigious organization. Every day I work tremendously hard to be noticed by both other scholars and my teachers. Now that an opportunity has come, I am truly excited to demonstrate and live by the values of The National Junior Honors Society. I hope to further expose and show both my dedication and want to join arms with my community and my peers and I wish to continue to work with passion and fire to shape the world into a brighter place.
I’m so happy to be given the opportunity to join National Junior Honor Society(NJHS). I would love to be a member. I think it is important for kids to be involved in the community. Also, myself personally it would be an honor to be a face for our school.
I am writing to inform you of my possible contributions to the National Honor Society and my interest in becoming a member. I view myself as a strong minded individual with a strong incentive to learn. Acquiring the ability to learn fast and adapt quickly has enabled me to be a part of a wide range of organizations. My participation and loyalty to the NHS could result in a great strive forward. I could provide more ideas of services to benefit the school and our community. I would also devote a large portion of my free time to the organization and assist in any way possible. Whether that means coming in early in the morning or staying late after school, I would do any means necessary to show my commitment.
Being proud of something can have many different meanings to people, but to me, it means to be honored and to be glad that something happened. I am proud about many things in my life but one thing I am extremely proud of is my induction into the NJHS. NJHS stands for National Junior Honor Society.
Receiving this invitation, I realize that the National Honor Society is an honor to be in itself. I believe that I am fully able to become a useful member of the National Honor Society due to the fact that I am hard working, reliable and honest, and I possess all the aspects required by this organization, such as scholarship, service, leadership, and character.
As a student at Northvale Public School, I have grown up with my older siblings being inducted into an organization called the National Junior Honor Society. I had seen all the hard work and dedication they put into their school work and activities just to get into this society, making me want to be just like them. Then a few weeks ago, I found a note on my desk in homeroom telling me that I had been nominated to be apart of this society. Through citizenship and character, leadership, and service, I intend on being inducted into the society I have heard so much about. Though it will take a lot of effort this school year, being a part of this society is a dream of mine that I will make sure to come true.
I was very excited when I heard that I had been invited into National Junior Honors Society. The first time I heard of NJHS, it instantly became a goal of mine. When my older sister left for college I was very sad, so I think that this is a way for me to keep a part of her. I have always been that little girl no one understood, because I’m always very excited to learn and get back to school after summer break. I’m very happy to see that I’ve been invited, but this is why I should be accepted.
National Junior Honor Society as a nation premier organization started to recognize outstanding middle-level students. NJHS is a way to honor students who have demonstrated an extraordinary amount of excellence in the areas of the five pillars which are, scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship. This organization that was started in 1929 is a great opportunity for me to show my family and teachers how hard I work to get this far. I am deeply honored to be among the exemplary student who are being considered for this program. This organization the so many great things in society, and knowing that I could potentially be a part of it and play a part in futuring the impression that the organization has already made. I am a determined student, and will do anything to do my absolute best even when something hard is thrown my way. I have always hoped to be a part of something big like National Junior Honor Society, and I hope that this will be my chance to be a part of something big. In my essay I have provided several reasons why you should consider me being on National Junior Honors Society.
The National Honor Society is a very prestigious organization that I would love to be a part of. It was an honor to be nominated as a candidate. I am currently a sophomore in high school, and I have always wanted to be a member of the National Honor Society. As I look back over the years and think of the times I have attended the ceremonies and saw all the awards the members received, I recall saying to myself “That’s going to be me one day.”. I asked my teachers about all the requirements that had to be met to be a National Honor Society member and I made it my main goal to meet each and every one.
I am honored to be among the exemplary students who are being considered to be accepted to National Honor Society. I learned while researching National Honor Society that it calls upon students with outstanding academics and character. Throughout my life I believe I have demonstrated these qualities along with leadership from my participation in school, teams, and clubs.
Growing up my parents always taught my sister and I that we should always be grateful for what we had. Take care of all our toys and expensive things that they brought us. They taught us that you have to work hard for what you want and nothing is handed to you. Even though me and my sister always got what wanted we also knew that we worked for it and that made getting it even better. I believe my parents raised me pretty good. I always respected them and knew my limits, me and my sister had chores we had to do and if they weren't done by the end of the week we would have a consequence. This taught us responsibility and that in the real world if you don't do your job you would be fired or there would be a consequence you would have to pay. Lately I have noticed that a lot of kids in today's society are very ungrateful. They feel entitled and believe that they shouldn't have to work for anything. They think things should just be handed to them without any questions asked. I think I have a way to stop this rising trait in today's youth.
Additionally, my Spanish Club helps children in need of food and clothing. Participants in this club are inspired to join organizations to connect with these children in their spare time. Moreover, I enlist to aid my church during events for toddlers and vacation bible school sessions. These are examples of how members in extracurricular groups may strength their activity in their community. In short, contribution to civic services increases by engaging in extracurricular
