Narrative Essay On The Death Of My Grandmother

On May 25th, a Monday, my grandmother was not feels well, so my father decided to drive her to the hospital. Most of my family members were worry about my grandmother health, but for some reasons my father did not take my grandmother to the hospital. It was raining hard that day. My grandmother body slump over on one slide of the wheel chair. Her face and mind seemed like she was flowing on midair even though her body was still there. He decided to take her home instead. Later, my father dropped my grandmother home, and then he went home to take a shower and come back to check on her. When he came back home, he said to me in a shaking tone “I think grandmother is going to die soon.” While my father was taking a shower to release his stress, his cellphone rang. After my father got out of the shower, he called my uncle back right away. Then he quickly changed, and he ran out the door. My father came home at five o’clock that evening. The morning of July 4th; my family drove to Oak Hill Memorial Park wearing all black. As we entered the memorial room, I saw my relatives were walking around greeting the guesses. There were a lot of stand of flower with a banner, “sorry for your lost,” message across it. Since my family belief in Buddha religion, most of the decorations setup likes the Buddha tradition ceremony for the death. Throughout the ceremony, there are guesses from each my relatives’ friends, coworkers, other family members came to visit, and then there were monks that also came to the ceremony to pray. Basically during that period of time, the monks’ were praying for my grandmother soul would be to free and go up to heaven, so her soul would not wonder around on earth. The funeral lasted for 3
