They were all upset with me at first for leaving and not saying anything but I just wanted to see what paden school was like I didn't plan on staying since I had to get picked up and dropped off with my cousins that went instead of just riding a bus to okemah. At paden it was a little more fun because they didn't have as many rules like but it wasn't good for me I missed my friends the only people I got to talk to was Denise, …show more content…

When going into high school the same friends you have in freshmen year aren’t the same in senior year. Strong Friendship is always hard to get, I knew who my real friends were after every year in high school ended. By the end of my senior year I had almost all the same friends except for three or four. But there was this one girl who stayed and she been my best friend since then we have had tough time and we have broken up but we always come back to each other. During the break ups I never treated anybody special like I did with her somehow I knew she was going to come back. The theme was always in my life and it showed me that not all my good friends are going to stay but when you have a best friend they’re always going to be
Over time there has been a major debate over television and children. Some think that kids shouldn’t watch it, some say that it is okay in moderation, and others say it doesn’t have any effects. The real debate starts when one starts to talk about the content of the shows. Sesame Street is a show that most would say is for all ages, but is it truly educational? Can kids really learn from it?
I had a good year in first grade. I became the best artist in the class. I started getting better at English. My first word was “bathroom.” I made two friends Michelle Sherman and Karen Calle. After that I started feeling better and actually liking this school. Everything felt better and worked out great!
I was raised watching shows like the Andy Griffith show and Sanford and son and other “classics” that my elders watched when they were younger. I personally loved, and still do, those classic TV shows. I feel that since
Think about a blue dog, a red monster that can talk, and a Spanish speaking girl who goes on an adventure every day. To a person who has not watched television those characters might be made up people. For a child, however, those characters are Blue from Blue’s Clues, Elmo from Sesame Street, and Dora from Dora the Explorer. These three shows air on networks that are based for children, and are what could be referred to as educational entertainment; they hide learning into an entertaining television show. Experts say that this technique, that children’s education television shows use, builds a foundation that children can use for a lifetime. Though some parents may argue that these programs do more harm than good, these shows have an educational value that other children series do not have. For a child that is watching these television shows, they are not aware of the learning component; rather, they believe that they are having fun. Even though some parents argue that children’s educational programs have little to no value, television that uses the entertaining education techniques in its programing can help children develop lifelong social and educational skills before, during, and after they start and finish preschool or kindergarten by developing their memory and mimicking appropriate social behaviors.
The book of Zephaniah contains messages of divine judgment against Judah and Jerusalem, as well as against other nations. It addresses a rare concentration of references to central issues in the history of ancient Israel. Idolatry, violence, and deception abound in Judah when Zephaniah began prophesying. Zephaniah's prophesying made it clear that Yahweh would execute vengeance upon unrepentant wrongdoers. His adverse judgments would be visited not only upon Judah and Jerusalem, but also upon other peoples: the Philistines, Ammonites, Moabites, Ethiopians, and Assyrians. Significantly, Zephaniah, the prophet, never stands at the center of the book of Zephaniah; the word of Yahweh is at the center of the book. Zephaniah is mentioned only insofar as he is necessary for the interpretation of the text.
Barney, Sesame Street, and Arthur are just a few of many television shows that children watch. Many kids all over the world watch television, but the question is, is it really educational? Although there is no actual proof that television shows children watch are educational, surveys say that they can help enlarge children’s knowledge, increase imagination, and also introduce social behavior.
When i was in first grade i moved from Cahokia to Belleville I was a shy and new kid at school but on the weekends i would always go to Cahokia with my one and bestfriend. After a while i got used to the Belleville setting i had friend there i was still the shy kid but my friends were the “cool kids”. I grew up in the Harmony school district very small so everybody knew the next person and i met my bestfriends the good and the bad ones. Freshman year i moved alot of times that year from our house to my granny house for a while. After we left my granny house we got a small house back in Belleville (my dad don't like living with other people) the end of the school year we moved to the east end of Belleville meaning NEW SCHOOL. When the school year came around i hated it i hated the school and not knowing people. It was easy making friends though and some of my cousins went there so they made sure i was ok. I ran track there but i didn't like it and really wanted to be back at school with my friends. Lucky me my parents didn't like it down there either so back to Belleville West it was and i was happy for that i had time to become a new and better person that i needed but west is best and i was always a maroon at heart so i had to come
The two children television shows that I select and view for my paper are Barney and Friends, for children between the ages of one and eight and Popular Mechanics for children between the ages of seven and twelve. Barney and Friedens is created by Sheryl Leach and Popular Mechanic is based on Popular Mechanics magazine. Both shows are presented on PBS.Kids many times. These shows are very liked by children as well as by their parents. The main character Barney, communicates educational information's and messages via songs and other small activities like dance accompanied with friends filled with encouraging and optimistic attitudes. These shows present mixture of entertainment and education. There are also a lot of useful and healthy information's in these shows. In addition to the educational information's,
Children educational tv show teach the children a various number of things. Kids tv show such as Jake and the Neverland Pirates teaches children problem solving skills. “As Piaget indicate that around 7 to 8 moths infants develop intentional means-end action sequences which they use to solve simple problems, such as pulling on a cloth to obtain a toy resting on its far end” (“Exploring Lifespan Development” pg,123) The show introduces a problem to the children and a possible solution. The characters encourage children to participate in activities with them for instance asking the kids to push down to open the door. “By 10 to 12 months, infants can solve problems by analogy-apply a solution strategy from one problem to other relevant problems” (pg. 123). The Characters ask the children how they think they should fix that problem. It gives the child enough time to answer then they propose a possible solution that is very like the child’s proposition of solution. Educational tv shows such as Jake and the Neverland pirates gives children the opportunity to explore their ability to solve problems while they are during that stage of autonomy verses shame and doubt. During the ages 1-3 years old children uses new mental and motor skills , they want to decide for themselves (pg,13). Children educational TV shows strength
My mom will not be coming with me nor will my friends from my old school. I felt deserted by my family and friends. I arrived third grade and before I know it, I quickly made friends, one of my friends were anthony bates. We became really good friends then we decided to have a little group like the three musketeers. We both became really good friends with scott fredrick and the three of us played, worked, and had sleepovers all year.
sometimes awkward; I did not know what all the kids' TV shows were because I spent my time watching How It's
I had never cried or not wanted to go to school. In the beginning, I was very shy and used to whisper everything in the teacher’s (Rosa) ears. I was very particular about keeping my footwear clean, while polishing shoes, I polished underneath too. My friends were artistic and were interested in art and music. In middle school, I had an amazing teacher. She was very friendly and helpful to all of us. My friends were really fun to hang out with and we clicked since the beginning. They shared the same interests with me like reading books, dancing, writing, etc. We used to bunk our art classes and play games in the class. I still talk to most of them, thanks to technology. The school once took us on a 5-day camping trip nearby and it was the best part of middle school. I loved the time spent with my friends, we shared so many secrets with each other. My favorite memory is when they took us to a beach. None of us had beach clothes so we all went into the water in our school uniforms. It was an amazing
