Crash Landing Great. Just great. I’m sat here in some random hospital with a broken leg; a wounded shoulder and an impaired lung. Now you’re probably thinking, “If he’s got a broken leg-a wounded shoulder and a damaged lung, how on Earth can he be writing this story that I’m reading at this precise moment?” Well, I have been provided (by the hospital) with a machine that records and writes everything that I say. Astoundingly, it actually has quite great sustainability levels considering that its multi-core processor has only two cores and it is composed with habitually unrecyclable constituents. Right, now back to the story…. It all started when Ivan- my friend-decided to make a proposition, “Why don’t we go to the mountains,” he said, “It will be delightful!” he said, but that didn’t somewhat go to plan. Therefore, I am now in hospital (as …show more content…
you already know). He began to proclaim how climbing a mountain would be good for our physical and mental vigour and blah-de-blah-de-blah. But I stopped listening when he said the word fitness, I mean, who wants to be fit when you can have chocolate milkshakes, burgers, ice-cream, fries and crisps? I would only go if there was cake. He laughs and I realise that I said that part out loud. Ultimately, I give in.
The subsequent day we are on a sustainable aeroplane which had a propeller made from old bottles. Then there’s a problem. Suddenly, the lights start to flicker like fireflies and the plane starts to head downhill. The strong, pungent smell of fuel scalds my nostrils like hot coals. Somewhere I hear a scream. A shrill ear-piercing scream. Branches scrape at the windows like stretched limbs, grasping for me at every possible moment. I cling onto my seat. The voice speaker booms out, “Please remain calm and stay in your seats as long as possible and await further instructions. The provision of water will start when we land.” I have never heard someone whose voice is so monotone in my life! “There seems to be a problem with the suspension. If you are susceptible to any kind of insect then you will need to take extra precaution as we are landing in a jungle.” The plane continues to plummet towards the ground. Additionally, it is clear that some people need resuscitation; others are worried that they might to carrying out the wrong

I've always liked Fall. I like the falling leaves and warm spice drinks and chilly air and nice sweaters and the generally spooky vibes. Fall is a good time for me. Nothing beats it, not even the summer. The most important part, though, is Halloween. Halloween cotumes, loads of spooky-themed candy, costume parties, scary movies, everthing about it was something I looked forward to all year.
The 11th day of September, 2001 was not just any ordinary day. It was an annihilating day for both me and my country. That day symbolized the burial of my grandfather, who died the week prior. My grandfather, played a fundamental role in my life. He encouraged me both spiritually and educationally. This is also the day that the Islamic terrorist group Al-Qaeda decided to attack the United States. They achieved the attack, though the hijacking of four planes; this caused the complete destruction of the Twin Towers (North and South) of the World Trade Center located in New York City. The terrorist group was also responsible for the partial collapse of the Pentagon. They did, however fail in their attempt on attacking the United States
For most people, becoming a parent is one of the greatest moments in their lives. I never understood the true meaning of love until I became a father. Little did I know; I would also learn the tragedy of loss.
There are many social problems that exist in the world today, which includes but do not limits to self-identity and racism. However, they somehow go unnoticed because at times people conform to what society thinks is the way to live. In my opinion, people believe they should act or feel a certain way because of what is broadcast on television, featured in magazines, and even brought into the limelight by celebrities. After viewing the movie Crash, in my opinion, the movie targets on going social problems that are constantly being swept under the rug to this present day. I deem Crash a race movie because it forces the audience to question their own moral values.
Tyler Norris American Literature Mrs. Miller September 21, 2017 9/11’s Flag Raising Heroes I woke up that morning, and it was just a normal day, I showered, brushed my teeth, and got dressed. I ate breakfast, then went into work. I got news from the FBI that said that a plane had crashed into the World Trade Center. When I got to the station, myself and the others were talking about what could have happened, and we thought that it might have just been an accident. People who were still inside were told to evacuate the building as quickly as possible. Another plane crashed into the South Tower, and we make our way inside to get as many people out of the building as we could. We knew then that we were under attack. It was tough to truly understand

When I stepped into the large neatly organized white polished plane, I never though something would go wrong. I woke up and found myself on an extremely hot bright sunny desert island filled with shiny soft bright green palm trees containing rough bright yellow hard felt juicy apples. The simple strong plane I was in earlier shattered into little pieces of broken glass and metal when crashing onto the wet slimy coffee colored sand and burning with red orange colored flames. After my realization to this heart throbbing incident I began to run pressing my eight inch footsteps into the wet squishy slimy light brown sand looking in every direction with my wide open eyes filled with confusion in search of other survivors. After finding four other survivors we began moving our small petite weak legs fifty inches from the painful incident. Reaching our destination which was a tiny space filled with dark shade blocking the extreme heat coming from the bright blue sky, I felt my eyelids slowly moving down my light colored hazel eyes and found myself in a dream. I was awakened the next day from a grumbling noise coming from my empty stomach.
Disappointment, disbelief and fear filled my mind as I lye on my side, sandwiched between the cold, soft dirt and the hot, slick metal of the car. The weight of the car pressed down on the lower half of my body with monster force. It did not hurt, my body was numb. All I could feel was the car hood's mass stamping my body father and farther into the ground. My lungs felt pinched shut and air would neither enter nor escape them. My mind was buzzing. What had just happened? In the distance, on that cursed road, I saw cars driving by completely unaware of what happened, how I felt. I tried to yell but my voice was unheard. All I could do was wait. Wait for someone to help me or wait to die.
When I was a Child, I have never stopped wondering what it would be to fly in the sky. I had tried to jump from sofa or bed with an opened umbrella in my hand, and imagined myself as a flying bird. As I grow up, those wonderful fantasy become faded in my brain. I still like flying, and I had experience something like helicopter tour, but never a real fly. I always have the thoughts to explore life, to experience
The heart begins racing the moment the car pulls into the airport parking lot. The smell of jet fuel, automobile exhaust, and hot tarmac combine to assault the senses with images of exotic escapes and the kind of freedom that can only come from airports. I feel the thrum of the engines at takeoff and the vibration of the plane during the flight in my skin. I see people listening to MP3s and playing video games. I hear the couple behind me chatting about the weather in Florida and the possibility of rain. I recognize the smell of fading perfume that women are wearing. Chanel, Windsong and White Diamonds clash with the smell of popcorn and Quizno sandwiches.
I awoke, there was a crash on the upper deck. I heard a thunderous crackling from my head above. I ran up the stairs and what I saw devastated me. The small wooden boat was completely coated in billowy flames."Help, help, somebody please!"I slowly moved towards the sound being careful to dodge flames as much as possible.
September 12, 2016 was the worst morning of my life. Actually, I can honestly say the worst experience. It is worse than when I cut my finger last year. It all started approximately two to three weeks ago. Let me explain, how the situation evolved. I still really can not imagine how it concluded. That day, I learned there are no shortcuts around some things; you just have to do it.

Oh my God! TJ!“ It was just my mom.She was crying and calling my name again and again.I was so embarrassed and disappointed of my self.I had let her down. After, two of the EMT guys put us on an ambulance. Finally,we made our way to the hospital. My friend john and me were sent in palo alto medical center. It took us about fifteen minute to get there. My friend john was alright. He had a couple of stitches in his head and his arm. He got relieved after a couple of tests but, I was severely injured. I was lying on a hospital bed and thinking what I would have done in the past. Cause this terrible accident happened to me. I was sent to el camino hospital, where I went to the operation theater for my hipbones surgery. The doctor told me after surgery that my hipbones was fractured the reason they had to put a plate in hipbones to stay together.Although, my left arm was also fractured the reason I could not feel my arm. After surgery, they took me to the other room and gave me a couple of injections. Momentarily, I went to sleep. I woke up in the next day and thinking hopefully it was just a dream, but it’s not. I opened my eyes and saw a couple of relative looking me like a stranger. My dad came over my bed and gave me a hug and I literally started crying after thinking about the accident. I could not believe after a massive car accident I was still alive. Doctors kept in hospital couple of
Accidents happen all the time whether we know it or not. Some could possibly be avoided and others may not. I was a young girl, who didn’t truly grasp the concept of life and death. Every time I was upset about something, I would think about ending my own life. However, through one horrifying incident, that silly thought of mine completely vanished. Thanks to that specific mishap, the way I perceived life and death has in turn, changed entirely anew.
