The day started out ordinary like every other day. I was going to see my friends and family for the first time since my new job. I packed my bags the night before and fell fast asleep dreaming of the next day ahead. When I woke up, I realized I was running late. I grabbed everything I could and ran quickly to catch a cab. Once in the cab, I saw what a pretty day it was. There wasn't a cloud in the sky. I got to the airport right in time to get my ticket and head to my flight. Once on the flight, I sat down and thought what I would do when I saw my family. Would we go walk around San Francisco? Would we go on some crazy trip, like skydiving? While I thought of what I was going to do, I realized that we were flying over the same things. Then …show more content…
“Yes mom why whats wrong?” “There has been a terrorist attack on the twin towers.” My mouth dropped open. Many questions were going through my head . Is my plane hijacked? Is that why we were flying a differe Thnt way? I turned to tell the women sitting next to me. When I did, I noticed that four men put on red bandanna's . I sat there I shock thinking that this was another terrorist attack. “Oh my gosh!” my mother screamed. “ Another plane crashed into the buildings.” I started to get very scared. A lot of people started to scream, and I noticed that the people were killing and threatening us. “Mom I have to go. I love you. I'll call you in a second.” “Okay honey. I love you.” I felt bad for hanging up the phone on my mom. What if its the last time I talk to her? Just as I thought of that, the women next to me screamed. I looked over and noticed that she had been killed and standing next to her was a man in a red bandanna. I looked right into his eyes trying to say “don't kill me!” then he ran off into the cockpit. Everyone started to call their families and friends and I called my mother …show more content…
“ Is everyone ready?” they all shook their head. I jerked the plane door open and jumped with my blanket parachute. I turned to see if anyone was behind me but I saw that the plane was going down at a very high speed. When I turned back around I saw that I was falling really fast and I needed to position my “parachute”. When I got it positioned I heard a loud crash. I started to cry, I didn't want to turn around to see the smoke and the fire off in the distance. I realized how close I was to the ground I needed to land. I did everything I needed to then, BAM. I hit the ground very hard and it knocked me out. I woke to a women yelling and a ambulance to the side then everything went black. When I woke up it wasn't September it was the end of October. I was in a comma for a very long time. I was in a hospital bed with a broken leg, arm, wrist, ribs, and one ankle. I had stitches too. I looked around and saw that I was with my family. They all started to cry which made me cry. “ You made. Your still alive.” my mother
...thin minutes and took the film.” There was barely any debris from the plane. The government stated that all the planes that were hijacked were the same. The engine of the plane that was found at the scene of the Pentagon attack didn't have the same engine as the other planes, with that being said, it could have been a smaller plane since it was a smaller building. There were no aircraft wreckage, wings, tails, luggage, seats, and bodies. The plane that appears to be flown into the Pentagon was said to be Flight 77 especially from the size of it. Flight 77 can be remote-controlled whether with or without guidance. The transponders for all of the planes were turned off. The way the plane made its exit was a perfect circle but that circle didn't match the plane that the American government claimed it to be. The Pentagon also seemed to be rigged with explosives as well.
September 11, 2001 was a day that Americans and the world for that matter will not soon forget. When two planes went into the twin towers of the World Trade Center and two others went into the Pentagon and a small town in Pennsylvania, the world was rocked. Everyone in the United States felt very vulnerable and unsafe from attacks that might follow. As a result, confidence in the CIA, FBI, and the airlines were shaken. People were scared to fly after what had happened.
One of the most devastating terrorist attacks in United States history, 9/11, has taken the
When I entered the airplane I was as excited as a 6-year-old could be about losing the people she loved the most. The greatest aspect of my fear was the idea of losing my mother. As a child, I always
At 8:19 am – Flight attendants aboard Flight 11 (Boston’s Logan International Airport en route to Los Angeles) alert ground personnel that the plane has been hijacked; American Airlines notifies the FBI. Around 8:24 am – Hijacker Mohammed Atta makes the first of two accidental transmissions from Flight 11 to ground control in an attempt to communicate with the plane’s cabin. Following this, twenty-four minutes later – The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) alerts North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD)’s Northeast Air Defense Sector (NEADS) about the suspected hijacking of Flight 11. In response, NEADS call upon two fighter planes located at Cape Cod’s Otis Air National Guard Base to locate and tail Flight 11; they are not yet in the air when Flight 11 crashes into the North Tower. Next in this crucial timeline, at 8:46 am – Mohammed Atta and the other hijackers aboard American Airlines Flight 11 crash the plane into floors 93-99 of the North Tower of the World Trade Center, killing everyone on board and hundreds inside the
On September 11, 2001, Osama Bin Ladin executed the deadliest terrorist attack on American soil. The attack killed over 2,900 people, and since then America has changed in many ways. One example is the phobia people now have against people of Middle-Eastern decent or people that practice the Islamic religion. Since people think differently of these groups, they do not treat them with the respect they give to other people. They can be denied jobs, education, housing because of their religion and/or their Middle Eastern background. Another example on how America has changed since 9/11, is the airport security has grown largely. The new change can impact many travelers, as well it spends a lot of the American government’s money.
On September 11, 2001 terrorists crashed two American airline airplanes into Twin Towers, killing thousands of people. It was the worst terrorist attack in American history and it showed us that we are not protected by Atlantic and Pacific. It showed us that we could be attacked by anyone at anytime. It showed us that if we will be attacked again that we can only depend on each other and not on other nations to help us. The 9/11 changed people forever, some lost family members or friends, others lost their jobs even so called “American Dream.”
The weather that day wasn’t as bad as I expected it to be. It was gloomy and it would drizzle once in a while. I enjoyed the drive up to LA, even with a little rain. It took us about an hour and 50mins. We left around 1:00 pm and arrived around 2:50pm. The good thing about the drive was that we didn’t get lost. The only bad part was the traffic. We both expected to get traffic but not as bad.
At 8:46 a.m., the United States witnessed the first terroristic attack of many to come when American Airlines flight 11 crashed into the World Trade Center’s North Tower in New York City. Flight 11 impacted the tower between floors 93 and 99 ...
Some of us might remember how beautiful it was this day, how blue and clear the sky was. September 11, 2001 is not just a regular day anymore it marks the day terrorists attacked, not only New York but also America. Much like Pearl Harbor this is the day we were taken off guard and the day we struck back and went to war. With everything stripped away from us and no sense of what was going on, a country that was just fine on September 10, 2011 was now broken, on such a beautiful day such terror occurred. According to The Best American Magazine Writing in the article “Experts from the Encyclopedia of 9/11” there is a quote that reads, “Many of us remember going to work that week, searching for an appropriate journalistic response to a world that was changing in ways we couldn’t yet see.”(page 107) When our country was expecting failure and loss of control, we pulled together as a nation and started picking up the pieces from this tragedy that tore us apart this day. After reading this article I asked myself, how could anyone do such a horrible thing? Why would anyone want to give the...
9/11 was one of the darkest days in America, but some say the government could have been part of these attacks. For many years people have debated about the 9/11 cover up. This theory cannot explain why the government would do this. Once people understand why the 9/11 cover up is fake, they will begin to see the answer to their problem, could the government have done this? This conspiracy theory is wrong because, terrorists admitted to the attacks, so many people died, and there's no evidence against the government.
On Tuesday morning of September 11, 2001, the airplanes of American Airlines Flight 11 and United Airlines 175 were the first to be abducted by 19 kidnappers members of Al-Qaeda, both crashed into the twin towers of the World Trade Center, the first against the north tower and the second shortly after against the South in a coordinated terrorist attack. After burning for 56 minutes, the South Tower
...ove the ground, I yanked down on the parachute control straps with all of my strength. The parachute got more air, and I slowed, almost to a standstill, and gently touched the ground. As my feet touched the Earth, I went into my roll and then stood back up. No broken bones or bruises.
After three hours we arrived at our first break stop. We stopped at a section that was on top of the waterfall. The view was amazing and spectacular because we had never seen anything like this. As we continued our hike after several more break stops, and nine more hours of hiking, we finally arrived at the top of El Capitan. Once we got to the top the view was amazing. We could not imagine how beautiful it was up there on top of the world. After about half an hour we started heading back down, when all of a sudden out of no where I felt someone push me out of the way. A man that was in a hurry to get back down pushed me so hard, that I lost my balance and fell of a twenty foot cliff. At that moment in time I could see flashbacks of my life. After a couple seconds of falling I somehow landed between two rocks which shattered my right foot. After that happen every one that was there tried to get help but unfortunately cell phones do not work in Yosemite, but the man that pushed me over the cliff had a walky-talky and he called for help.
It was close to four o’clock in the morning and we were tired. We met up with my dad at the airport and grab us a taxi. As we leave, we drive by a desert that was completely surrounded with sand. Passing through we made it into the city, looking at the flashing lights and buildings that stood tall. It was too early to go out and explore, we needed our rest. As we walk into our hotel, it was like walking into an expensive apartment. With its very own kitchen, washer and dryer, and a patio to top it all
