Charlottes ' web at the opening of the story the farmer is going to do away with a runt. The runt is physically to small to waste resources on according to the viewpoint of the historical period. (Cox, 2011) The runt therefore; is not of real value due to his size and weight at birth. (Cox, 2011) Unfortunately, can be argued that this viewpoint of not valuating all in society is still prevalent to this day. "It 's unfair...The pig couldn 't help being born small, could it? The spider is a creature of action and she is selfless. She works diligently to support her friend whose station in society is destined to die if he embraces his role. (Wikipedia, 2015) The spider helps her friend to fight complacently to save his life. Charlotte uses words that she prints in her web to advocate for her friend. "People believe almost anything they see in print. Charlotte, p. 84" Later, the farmer sees the writing in the web, he thinks that the spider might have weaved it but he quickly dismisses it from his mind. He concludes that the writing must be correct and says to his wife: "This is a very serious thing, Edith...Our pig is completely out of the ordinary." (Horwitz, 2002) Charlotte can influence her readers with misinformation. Others begin to really see Wilbur is 'Terrific ' and 'Radiant ' and 'Humble '. Charlotte persists at struggle to save her friend 's life. My hero displays friendship. Charlotte shows true friendship by giving Wilbur words of encouragement. Not only does she work tirelessly to save her friend she helps him deal with the depressing relativity that Wilbur is dealing with. Charlotte also encourages other to support Wilbur as only a true friend will. Charlotte displays her morality. Most heroes are mortal and when a story clearly shows all heroes will demonstrate their most heroic efforts in the face of death. Charlotte spins her final message at the fair in the face of her impending death to save a life. Just at the firefighters on 911 raced into the doomed Word Trade Center to save lives without regard to their own were true heroes our hero continues to work to save her friend up until the moment of her death. (Horwitz, 2002)Charlotte uses both persuasion and advocacy to save her friend. Charlotte is a one spider propaganda machine.
