It’s all arranged.

You’ve orchestrated to go on vacation with your family for forever but have never been able to organize or finance it. You’ve been revising your plans repeatedly to distract yourself from the excitement you’ve been trying to hold in for over a year. The whole family has made specific activity plans based on their hobbies; you included. You’ve completed plenty of paperwork and your supervisor has agreed to your leave. You’ve acquired loads of petty cash for the trip, you’ve paid the bills and your bank account has more money than you could consider spending. Soon you’ll be soaring above the clouds experiencing the magical and wondrous world of traveling. All you must do now is catch your plane; you can already smell the tarmac on the other side.

Like a child waiting for Christmas to come, you wait impatiently wait for your plane. You’re encompassed with the excitement of seeing your family. You miss their company and disgust your boss for making you stay back so late. You watch as the ETA slowly …show more content…

Thoughts tumble through your head like a subterranean river. This is what it feels like to lose everything. You start to notice other people more, and how their situations might be similar to yours.
