My personality type from the Myers-Briggs test was ESFJ, which stands for extraversion, sensing, feeling, and judging. I read the paperwork from the actual Myers-Briggs test and I went onto both websites to learn more about my personality type. When I went onto the sixteen personalities website, there was a link for careers that best suit your personality type and teacher and caregiver both showed up as career options.
From reading all of the information on my personality type I know that I am an energetic person who is too selfless and very caring. I am always supportive of others and I love to help others out. I also learned that I love to get to know people by communicating with them, which will be great for my profession as a teacher, because I will get to know all of the students communication styles and help them get to know other students that are similar to them. I also learned my communication approach was I like to be in positive atmospheres. This will be good for my profession, because I can keep a positive atmosphere for my students to help them feel comfortable and want to come to school everyday. This will also be good for my personal life, because I can keep all of my friends and my boyfriend happy because I am a positive person. I also learned that I am an efficient communicator, which will be excellent when I become a teacher, because I can communicate with all of my students what I expect of them and I can also communicate with all of their parents how they are doing in school. Another part of my personality test says that I like to be in control. This will be great when I am an educator because I will have control over my classroom, so when something happens I can quickly get control over my class. Another communication approach I have is I can conform to the norms in any space. This is great for my professional life, because I can conform to how my students like to learn.
