The first essay I ever wrote was hard for me to write. I didn’t know the first step of how to put a paper together. I would start writing and get frustrated that my ideas are not coming together.I knew what I wanted to say but my thoughts weren’t translating into the paper. Looking back on this class, I have realized just how much my writing has improved since the beginning of the quarter I chose narrative analysis and arguments to show how much I improved this year and know my strength and weakness I had in this school year. The first narrative I reviewed was “a twisted fairytale” this was a short story we wrote at the start of the year. We were supposed to write about Goldilocks and the Three Bears but with twist. I did a good job on showing the main idea of the story and what I am trying to convey, unfortunately the story was not catchy enough, it did not flow very well and it was somehow boring to me. I didn't use the right punctuation, so the reader could not know where the sentence bigins and ends, it was awful. I think I could have gotten a full score if I took my time to write it and not slack off. …show more content…

We were supposed to show the style the author used while writing the story. I used clear and meaning full thesis about the way the author uses stylistic devices to achieve an effect, and I Integrate relevant details to provide support. but I also had a lot of errors. My paragraph breaks, and because it had a lot of lack of topics it was hard to tell where one thought ends and one thought begins. One of the main issues I noticed was i switched from "her" to "him" when talking about the author. And That needed to stay consistent because the author was
