Writing is vital to my life. It is the most efficient form of thinking. It doesn't come after thought. It's not an expression of what I've already thought. It is thought. I like to think I can write most things well although I will make mistakes if I rush my writing. and my rewrites are always much better than the first draft. I am practically incapable of working things out unless I do it "on paper." This may be because I have a crippled temporary memory. I can't hold multiple images in my mind at once. At work, we have whiteboards all over the office, and I use them more than anyone else. To work on a project, I need to make lists and charts, and I'll refer to them throughout the project. I have to externalize my thought process in order
Over my career of schooling my writing has changed dramatically at times and very little at others. Through my years of schooling people have determined my main weaknesses and strengths that I should work on with my writing. My biggest weakness is writing introductions and conclusions they must be so complicated and require so much thought to be defined as good. I excel at writing body paragraphs and explaining all the facts that back up your main ideas though.
The journey through language and literature has always been an intriguing one for me. It is for this reason that I chose English as my major. It seems that every teacher or professor that I have had, has always been able to pinpoint one specific element in my writing that I need to work on. This has not been a negative thing by any stretch, because with each passing semester there is an element of my literature that will be perfected for the next. This is the wonder that is English, and the reason for my passion in this subject area.
I am sitting in my bed, thinking about my process of writing as I am trying to go through it. It seems the more I think about it, the less I understand it. When I am writing, I don’t think. Which I know, sounds bad. But, I spend every single moment of every single day over thinking, over analyzing, and over assuming every aspect of my life. When I’m writing, I’m free from that for just a little bit. Until of course, my hands stop typing or the pencil (no pens- never pens) stops moving, then I’m right back on the carousel that is my brain. Writers from professional to elementary students suffer from writers block. Writers block is when you cannot think of anything to write. Writers block is usually caused by stress. The brain then has a reaction which disables its ability to put what it is thinking on to paper. As Patricia Huston describes it, “The right, or creative, side of the brain, seeks to create (in this case, write). This induces the left, or analytic, side of the brain to anticipate all the problems that this action could entail, causing it to go into "overdrive" and inhibit the ability to write.” (Paticia Huston)One knows if they have writers block if they are staring at a computer screen or piece of paper for a long period of time. You also know you have it if the writer just feels unwilling to write or is simply just disinterested in the topic. Avoiding writers block is almost impossible since almost everybody experiences it, but there are still many ways to help prevent or cure it.
The strategies that I will use in my final draft are making sure my writing is in the third person, double check my in-text citing format as well as double check the wording to make sure I am using the correct words and grammar. I really appreciate the instructor’s feedback from this essay and the reflection. Sometimes we are our own worst critic and after I read my work several times, I still do not feel confident in my abilities. However, every time I get a feedback from the professor. I am more and more confident, that I made the right choice to go back to school and that, I will be successful in my new chapter. I chose these strategies in order for my paper to be accurate and completed. As of now, I think I am getting the hang of it and
In this paper, I am to write about my strengths and weaknesses in writing. This is not an easy task for me because I have never considered myself a writer. Reading other peoples thoughts are activities that are more my speed. I simply have trouble putting my thoughts into writing. Since, I do not feel that I have many strengths, let's move on to my weaknesses.
This is a descriptive writing assignment and is designed for students in grades three to five. It is titled “Shoe Description” and is exactly that, a descriptive essay of a shoe. Students are asked to study one of their shoes and include details about the style, size, shape, color, and function of the shoe.

I have learned many things throughout the course of the term, including such things as: how to write an essay and how to improve on essays that I have already written, how to locate and composite better research through the use of numerous resources found at the campus library, the internet, and the “Common Sense” textbook, how to cite research, examples, and quotations properly within the contents of my research paper as well as document it accurately according to MLA standards. Through the exploration of the “Subjects and Strategies” textbook, I have learned nine different methods used when writing an effective essay and how the different writing styles affect the overall theme and tone of the essay when used properly. This past semester, I have encountered many difficulties when trying to write these essays, but through the use of the textbooks, the aide of the instructor, and once I was able to classify the different types of essays and styles, I found them possible to overcome.

I am bad at writing and you would know the best. You graded a few of my essays and my poetry. I can't imagine the pain of that, but i know the pain of writing them. I often sway to topics like this in writing because if i do something bad, or mess up it helps prove my point. Like my poem. My lyric poem was about something I was very passionate about at the time. It was about how much I hate poems if you have forgot, which I don't expect you to remember. I still don't like poetry or mine at least. Some other people in our grade I thought that they were good, and I actually enjoyed reading them. That is the most about liking poetry you'll ever get out of me, congratulations you got more than any other teacher. Barely any of this was about my flaws at writing, so does that make this a flaw? Can you count me off on this? I don't believe so. Good luck grading this.
Writing has always been one of the things that I’m passionate about. Whenever I have something on my mind, I would jot it down or type it in my notes. No matter how small or pathetic it seems, I would always write it down, because you never know when you’re going to go back to it and create something grand, out of inspiration. People would think that a person like me would write down poems or novel ideas. That’s completely true, but I also write down recipes, grocery lists, hate lists and literally anything that comes to my mind. I’m the type of person that does not like to miss anything, forget anything and likes to include everything. People would say I’m a perfectionist or a control freak and as much as I would hate to admit that, it is true. While these traits of mine might hinder my writing process, during this school year I learned how to embrace them.

Everyone makes mistakes no matter what age one is, personality, gender, we all make mistakes. Most of us make a mistake with out of us even knowing that we did make a mistake. Making mistakes is an everyday experience everyday in our world. All humans have the capability and opportunity to learn from their mistakes through positivity.
It is significant to describe the differences between mistakes and errors, which are “technically two very different phenomena” (H. D. Brown, 2007). Mistakes refer to random performance slips affected by excitement or exhaustion. Mistakes can be self-corrected. Unlike mistakes, errors refer to deviations that learners made regularly because of the second language conventions that have not yet been mastered. Learners are not able to self-correct an error. These differences had drawn the researchers’ attention to errors in competence which then led to a more concentrated framework being produced. According to Yau (2014), mistakes are slips of mind and can be corrected on the spot for most of the time while errors are the same mistakes that were continuously made.
