My Visit To The University Of Florida

The first time I visited The University of Florida I learned what the phrase “home away from home” really meant. The moment I stepped foot on the campus I fell in love. I was awestruck by the lush green atmosphere, the kind and friendly faces, the immense amount of academic opportunities and achievements the university prides itself on, but most of all I fell in love with the tremendous amount of school spirit. At the University of Florida I plan on furthering my academic achievements, getting involved and asserting myself in the community, and displaying my school spirit and pride. This is my time to shine, to bring forth all that I have to offer. Being around nature and wildlife has been important to me since I can remember. At the University of Florida I plan on furthering my knowledge on wildlife studies, and to be able to get involved in research with the University Wildlife and Ecology Conservation studies. I plan on taking my studies out of my classroom and sharing them with everyone. I believe that education about wildlife conservation and the environment is highly needed in today’s society. I believe it is exceptionally important to have a diverse as well as a connected community. I plan to join some of the many student run organizations UF has to offer, like a reason to give and the exotic animal club as well as volunteering my time to local wildlife centers. I also intend on getting involved in service in the swamp and projects for peace at the center for leadership and service. At UF I will be able to connect with others on an intellectual level, I believe learning will not only take place in the classroom but also by interacting with others. I feel that community involvement is essential, and during my time at UF I plan on involving myself in as much as I can around the
