Tomorrow's world will be much different and also, much better in many
ways. We will have developed much better technology. We will have made huge
medical advancements. The general quality of life will be much better, and
living will also have become much easier. Still, nothing can ever be perfect,
and in a world of the future, we will experience many complex and unavoidable
problems such as depletion of resources, overpopulation, and the threat of
nuclear and biological warfare. The solutions to these dilemmas will not be
immediately apparent; but, we will have to overcome them. The future could hold
great opportunities for many people, but we will need to work at it.
In the future, technology will have advanced so much and so fast that
many new possibilities will arise. Most likely, we will enjoy interplanetary
space travel frequently in the future and we may even develop communities on
other planets, such as mars, or perhaps on the moon. Numerous scientists and
writers have already also predicted this. Life will also be made much, much
easier in the future for humans by robots, computers, and other automatons. Many
simple tasks done today by humans such as cooking, cleaning, and repairing
household items will be done by these machines much more quickly and efficiently
and with less pollution. Almost all of the current manual labor jobs,
especially in the United States, will become obsolete and robots wil...
The decision for Australia to adopt the Federal system was on the principle of which the State’s governments wanted to keep their power. For this reason there was the separation of powers between the newly formed Commonwealth government and the existing State governments. At a constitutional level, there are rulings in which the powers are separated, these rulings due to disputes have slightly changed since 1901. These changes all fell towards the one government, the Commonwealth (Federal) government. However this was not just a landslide event, the Constitution of Australia set up this imbalance of powers between the Commonwealth and State governments. We will explore this further in the points discussed later in this essay.
Australia's federation came about through a process of deliberation, consultation and debate. Before 1901 Australia did not exist as a nation. It was six British colonies, which were self-governed, but under the power of the British Parliament. The colonies were almost like six separate countries. In the 1880s there was so much disorganisation within this system, which caused a belief that a national government was, needed to deal with issues such as trade, defence and immigration saw popular support for federation grow.

This essay will discuss two advantages of Australia federating and two disadvantages of Australia doing so. The advantages that will be outlined and discussed in this essay will be that federation helped Australia’s economy & federation was essential for Australia so it would not be colonised by another country due to a stronger defence force. The disadvantages that will be shown and explained are: there was to be one uniform law system that fits all instead of having separate law systems to best suite each colony & federation was a way to make the perfect “white Australia”.

Principles of the Panopticon can appear just about everywhere in our everyday life. The Panopticon itself is a simple system of centralized visualization. The basis of the original Panopticon was a circular prison system with a tower sitting in the middle that had a full, unobstructed view of all the prison cells. I can apply this idea to many situations in my life varying from computer use to my college classrooms. An instance, which stands out the most in my mind as being a panoptic environment, is my experiences in gaming casinos.
The Australian legal system, through the process of law reform, aims to keep the nation a safe which, to a significant extent, is effective in creating a more just society. The Law reform, is the process of introducing changes to existing laws in the legal system. In order to suit contemporary society, laws are improved to in which reflects societal values and thus, accommodate the needs of majority of Australia. However, there are instances where the legal system may not be as effective in these changes. Issue such as the native title, marriage equality and the lock out laws cases can justify whether the law reform is effective.

It's been two days since the little mirror was handed to her, since she was shot into a dystopian dreamland, which apparently held the earths future in its hands. Emmy glanced at the mirror again, for about the 50th time that morning. Her reflection was not there, which meant that the world she was in right now had not turned into reality. (yet) She had been placed in a small, chemical white cell room which contained only a small, also chemical white bed and a red plant. A plant. Not even a toilet, or something you could deposit your body waste in. Shit. Emmy thought. I really have to pee. She got up and walked/ran to the door, which did not have a door handle. Great. She was about to start pounding on it when there was a knock from the other side. The door slid open and Emmy had to quickly step back to avoid getting squashed. Depending you are a man or a woman, there can be many aspects and opinions of the good life. Depending your rich or poor, there are many aspects. Some people say money is the key to a good life, but I do not think that. The age means something, but I have my opinion and have my own examples, and I will tell you, and can only speak for my self.
During my life, I have learned many things that I’m either expected to do or know. My family and friends have impacted my life in multiple ways that have shaped me as a person over time. These values that my family has taught me has made me the person I am today and most likely the person I will be for the rest of my life.
Most people are skeptical about psychics and psychic powers. In the book The Vision by Dean Koontz, there arises a real convincing psychic Mary, who has visions of murders that are yet to happen. But, a new twist to the story causes Mary to see a different kind of vision. Murders more gruesome than ever. More difficult to see. Harder to pursue. All these factors cause the reader, and possibly Mary to wonder who are the ones who really care for her. Can the murderer possibly be someone she loves? Or maybe a haunting truth about the past. The story takes place in various locations of modern day California. Some of the story takes place in Los Angeles, but the most momentous part of the story takes place in a little town called King's Point. The town is on the Pacific Coast Highway, and expensive houses dot the shoreline. Pertaining to the visions, Dean Koontz vividly describes the scene of each of them, as they take place. For example, he takes the reader to one of the scenes of a murder. A small beauty shop in Santa Ana, California. He forces the reader to picture the various aspects of a normal beauty shop, such as, the exterior. The neon lights, the palm trees, the jade-plant hedges, and the money-scented air. He informs the reader of the scent of the shampoo, cream rinse, cologne, and perspiration. He tells how the floor was covered in hair, and the purple color of the walls, and the plush purple carpet.
