My Values Are Important To Me

Majority of people have grown up with their own personal beliefs and values. As we grow older however, some of our values can change over time for the better or the worse. In my case, I always grew up with three specific values that I still hold true to this day and plan on never changing them. Those three values consist of religion, family, and trust. I will discuss why these three value are important to me in the following paragraphs. Growing up as a young child, my mother would always tell me, “Always seek help from the man above. However, my second most important value to me would be my family. Family is something that I value very much and is something that I’m thankful for every day. Without my family, I wouldn’t be where I am today and probably wouldn’t have amounted to the success I have. My mother, father, and two brothers, have helped me achieve my goals in life and are always there when I need them the most. My Father brings enlightenment into my life by providing food on the table for my family and helping me whenever I deal with car troubles. It’s a way for us to connect and bond after a long day of college or in his instance, work. My mother on the other hand, helps me through problems and gives me advices on situations that I need help with. She always greets me with a smile and there is no amount of money to describe how much that is valuable to me. Lastly, my two younger brothers are something I cherish very closely. I strive to be a phenomenal role model for them and be someone they can be proudly call their brother. They brighten my day even when there is no sun to be shining outside and always know how to make me happy. According to Dictionary.com, “Trust is the definition of reliance on the integrity, strength, ability, surety, etc., of a person or thing; confidence,” I one hundred percent agree with this definition and apply it when looking for trust in someone. I’m a firm believer that trust is an important value that should never be broken between someone and should be gain overtime. I value trust as being the key to many other things in life. For example, if you have trust in someone or something, you can achieve happiness, friendship, loyalty, and many other things.
