It not only encourages, but also gives me pressure to study hard and face up to challenges. As an international student, I was sent abroad for studying by my parents when I was just sixteen years old. So, the concept of the word “family” is very ambiguous. However, it is the most important moral backbone for me to live and study far away from my family. For example, a simple “how are you doing” from my parent through video chat could be the best support for me to face my life bravely. It does not just a greeting, but also the warmest word for me in the world, containing both love and emotionally support. I regard these words as a charger for me; it gives me energy when I become tired; it gives me power when I face challenges. On the other hand, it also set pressure for me to work hard and face up to the challenges. Once, my mother told me that my father need to have an operation, and he could not return to work for a long time, which means he could not make money for a long time to support me for studying. By the passion for my family, this news encourages me to work really hard in order to graduate earlier, so that I can share responsibility for my family. All my family gives me is positive energy. Even I lives vary from it; my heart did not estrange my family, but even closer. Therefore, my passion for my family drives me to become …show more content…
Living with love, my life become colorful by the augmentation of romance, happiness and cheer. On the other hand, it also gives me a beautiful imagination of my blueprint. I met my girl friend when I just stepped into the university, and it does really made my two years college life wonderful. For example, being together with my girlfriend, everything seems to be easy and delighted for me. A “I love you,” a cup of coffee from her or looking at each other could make my life fully filled with emotion. Even after a long period study, all of my exhaustions are removed, and all left is just enjoying the romantic and cheerful circumstance. On the other hand, love could bring hope to me. I always image the beautiful future of our lives, and it not only make me become happier, but encourage me to work harder in order to create a good living condition for our future. In my opinion, love is also important passion that could make me become positive and optimistic, because it could give me a strong emotion support and beautiful
Family is the fundamental group of people that hones each individual into a social being and trains each person into a being that complies with various changes that may occur in one’s life. It aids in developing a person’s skills and attitude in relating to other people. If not for the family, growing and developing one’s self is a difficult and an almost impossible task to accomplish. In the article by Joan Patterson, known as Understanding Family Resilience, it had highlighted various information and explanations of how a family responds and should opt to act during times of adversity, or also known as family resilience. It is defined by McCubin, H and McCubin, M. as “characteristics, dimensions, and properties which help families to be resistant to disruption in the face of change and adaptive in the face of crisis situations.” Since change occurs on a daily basis and is entirely inevitable, the trait of a family to be flexible in adjusting is necessary. Events that may trigger changes are various crises and challenges or internal and external forces. Such occurrences that arise and are experienced by the family may draw most families to become hopeless and disoriented. In Patterson’s work, a clear explanation and citation of various instances to prove that such misfortunate events that could lead to the disorganization of a family can be avoided and be used as an opportunity to further strengthen the relationship founded in the family.
“individuals cannot be understood in isolation from one another, but rather as a part of their family, as the family is an emotional unit. Families
The principle of family atmosphere is the combination of all forces within the family or all the relationships which exist between people. The concept specifies a family as a system which causes each family member to influence others within the family. The family atmosphere develops and the outcome is how family members relate to each other. The parents determine the family’s methods of relating and interacting. The parents are the models for children’s gender roles, how a children learn to partake in the world and their relationships with others. Children can experience the parent model in a va...
Since childhood, we have been taught that the most precious thing in this world is life; therefore murder is the worst of all sins that one could commit. But when it comes to capital punishment, this moral, which has been taught to us since birth, becomes arbitrary. This is where we as humans have failed. Capital punishment is simply the taking of a human life sanctioned by the state. How is that any different from simply murdering someone? There is no reason for the death penalty to be an option, even in particularly heinous crimes, when the alternative of life in prison without parole is on the table.
Love is said to be one of the most desired things in life. People long for it, search for it, and crave it. It can come in the form of partners, friends, or just simply family. To some, love is something of a necessity in life, where some would rather turn a cold shoulder to it. Love can be the mixture of passion, need, lust, loyalty, and blood. Love can be extraordinary and breathtaking. Love being held so high can also be dangerous. Love can drive people to numerous mad things with it dangerously so full of craze and passion.
College is a new setting for most students, especially the ones no longer living at home. The transition can be easy and worry-free, or a challenging and stressful time. Brougham states, “Growth and change were often accompanied by the experience of stress. The cause of stress varies from person to person. Overall there can be similarities such as ’academics, social relationships, finances, daily hassles and family relationships’ (Brougham, 2009, pg 86). As student, academics is the reason why we are in school; we are aiming to get educated and to learn. Family relationships vary from student to student depending on how close the family is. My immediate family and extended family have such a close bond that when I am needed at home, I drop everything for them. Social relationships are smaller support systems individuals can count on. Finances all come down to economic status and a person’s unique financial aid package. Daily hassles range from what I should wear today to not having enough time in a day.
The idea of family is different from person to person. Regardless of the differences, everyone’s family is unique and special in their own way. No one can judge or discriminate against people for their meaning and interpretation of what a family looks like. For example, family may have two parents; one parent; or no parents (since these are brief phrases, semi-colons shouldn't be used). The variation and differences between families makes culture and society so diverse. Family does not have limitations or boundaries (true). As long as the definition of family contains the qualities of unconditional love, and endless support, help, and guidance; all different families (awk) will be able to succeed and achieve a greater feeling of happiness and a sense of belonging and acceptance.
With the load of homework and complex material students are learning; close minded parents are having a hard time connecting with their children. This just goes on to prove Gregg Andrew correct when he states, “Every bit of learning takes you further from your parents” (Lubrano 581). It is a shock that college will corrupt families, since it is seen as the tool to be a successful family person. When in reality it will make a person successful, but as far the family goes it will have to be post aside. However, the fault in this is not the college’s hand, but of those closed minded parents who cannot see past what they believe in.
There are two different types of this ‘family stress’ which are the expectation comes from family and family’s appearance. The first one means the family has the power to students because family paid for everything, every parents want their kids to be successful in the future that explains why sometimes family put on much pressure on students. However, as receiving much expectation from family can make students try their best in studying According to Harvard Family Research Project (2006) Substantial research supports the importance of family involvement at school, and a growing body of intervention evaluations demonstrates that family involvement can be strengthened with positive results for children and their school success. There are many types of parents, some don’t want their kids to be stressed, some usually tell their friends about their kids but all of them hope their children can reach their goals and be successful. Children who were raised in the strict family usually have this stress because they have to handle a big pressure when they were a kid until now. Family can both be supporter and stress causer at the same time but no matter what, children understand that family just want the best for
"Family is not an important thing. It's everything.” This remarkable quote by Michel J. Fox should be the definition of family. Family is everything, they are our motivation, the ones that will love us when others don’t, and are the ones who stick to each other as gum when times get tough. Families have the most robust connections alive. These ties are so solid, and deeply intact that they can do everything and anything. These links allow a family to influence, shape, impact, and change one’s life. The intimacy within the family sphere, shape all who are inside it, this cannot be changed, and well anything that comes from within the family cannot be changed. The family itself can control and change our views on society, influence how we view the family unit, and yet most of all impact our everyday choices. The family’s capacity of guidance can make such an abundant shift that can only be felt, and barely visible unless seen through strained eyes, that makes this connection even more inexplicable than love.
The closest communication always takes place in home which is a safe and comfortable site. As we all know, home is the warmest place where we are growing up quickly. When we go outside for a long time, we always miss home and family rather than friends. Before going to university, we often meet friends in school in daytime, but seldom live together besides traveling. Living together is a great chance to know each other better, and it is the reason why we may choose to get along with roommates in high school and university. However, no matter how close we are, we may not share every secret with each other, even if we can share all the happy things. But family is our heart harbor. When we are wronged or being misunderstood, we are always willing to pour out to our family members, largely because we live together for such a long time that we trust our family members most. On the other hand, living together from birth enable us to know well about each other’s virtues as well as defects, and accept all of them unconditionally, this is what friends can’t do. Even though we may live together with our friends in a dormitory, there are also a lot of things we can’t tolerate due to the different living environments before we meet each
My strong interests in music, good food, and the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom may seem broad, but they are the essentials for my aspiration in life. These passions are the incentives of how to be a happier and more successful person for me to become.
Families provide people with an atmosphere in which to live, grow, and develop. A family culture is established by the parents and instilled in the children during their upbringing. A healthy family is a family which follows a set of strong morals, stays loyal to one another, cooperates, and works together to avoid conflict. An environment where there is openness amongst family members is ideal because minds that are open are more susceptible to avoiding conflict than minds that are closed. If conflict gets the best of a family, it has the potential to increase hostility and create remoteness between family members, however, if a family resolves conflict, it can strengthen and enforce the family relationships.
Family is the important base to the entire of human in their life. There are several principles of moral and ethics that should be applied in family. Firstly, it’s all about love among the family members. Love is an emotion that felt by an individual which is unconditionally given by one individual to another individual. Secondly, giving and receiving among the family members. Giving and receiving make the love flows highly in family whereas giving is an ethics that should been applied among family members. Giving something without expect anything shows the unselfishness of love. Third principle is thoughts, words and deeds. Thoughts, words and deeds should consider carefully because it has its own consequences. The action must be ethical because it could hurt other family members if it’s unethical which could destroy the relationship among each of the family members. Another principle is present reality and future potential. Every of the family members work should be in progress because it’s important to them to help their family members to be safe and supportive.
Everyone is born into some form of family, with the family taking the responsibility of nurturing, teaching the norms or accepted behaviors within the family structure and within society. There are many types of families, which can be described as a set of relationships including parents and children and can include anyone related by blood or adoption. Family is the most important, “for it is within the family that the child is first socialized to serve the needs of the society and not only its own needs” (Goode, 1982).
