Teacher is not just a person who gives knowledge to others. Being a teacher is a great challenge, because teacher should simultaneously be a tutor, a mentor, and a psychologist who understands the individual needs of every student. Teacher should always organize the working process in way that is the most appropriate for this particular discipline, or for these particular students. Thus, teacher should develop his own concept of teaching; define his goals for students to interrupt with them, and choose the methods to combine all these things in practice.
As for my teaching concept of psychology, it is basically organized around the idea of “free learning”. Saying “learning” I consider this process to be the process of perceiving the knowledge, which person desires to perceive in order to reach his or her personal aims. My teaching strategy is organized around the goals of my students, I give them the information, they are interested in, but not the one I believe they should be interested in. Trough such s type of learning I encourage a life-long learning. Giving to students the good start in their future careers, though providing them with the knowledge they which to learn is the cornerstone of my teaching concept. Thus, a “perfect teaching situation”, as for me, is a situation when teacher gives the student the knowledge, which he/she wants to learn, without any pressure, and the student uses this knowledge as a good start for the future. My role in this process is a “mentor”, I am doing my best to help the student in reaching the aims he/she can rich. Such a situation is “perfect” because I am satisfied to see that my students use the knowledge I gave them in practice, and the students are satisfied with the results of their s...

I hope I will be successful in my future professional growth. My main goal is to see the real results of my work: the successful psychologists, who use the knowledge I gave them in practice. The other goal is to develop new ways of teaching, though observing my students. My attitude towards learning and teaching changes over time, because I’ve understood that studying can be easy when you study, what you want to study, and teaching can be pleasant, when you see that somebody appreciates your work. I will probably improve my teaching and learn new skills with the help of my students, because they are constantly in motion and I will do my best to notice the changes in their needs, in order to improve the learning process and make it easier for them.
I will continue to grow in the counseling field by attending workshops and convention's to learn about new techniques and training on different speaclities in the counseling profession. I will also seek guidance from my supervisors, and learn from there years of experienced.
Teachers help us expand and open our mind by giving us skills throughout students’ early life to help students when they are older. By learning information from teachers, students become better people, in a couple of ways. Besides inquiring knowledge from their teachers, students learn to work with one another, open their mind to other peoples’ thoughts and ideas, respect one another, and learn different techniques for life’s issues.
One of my visions as a psychology practitioner scholar is becoming a clinical counselor. My purpose in psychology is to help people understand their life in a clear distinct way. I specifically want to target children and, help them grow and be more than they have the potential to be. I want to focus on the child development of children based on their environment. I want to be able understand children react the way they do in certain situations. Children have a way of not being able to express themselves fully so being able to help them understand their emotions.
I know as I further my education in the counseling field my philosophy of counseling will change. For myself, I feel that I am still young and learning about myself and my surroundings. In my eyes to be suitable to help others I need to continue to grow as a person myself both professionally and mentally. I want to be able to move forward and develop new distinctions and aspects to my philosophy of counseling as time goes on. I hope to continue my growth in understanding of what it means to be a good therapist or counselor by using good theories and techniques to help future clients.
Teacher knowledge has always been the basis to an effective learning experience. Without a knowledgeable teacher, students are not able to receive a quality educational experience. This pillar encompasses the influence teachers have on student learning and achievement, possession of research based knowledge, and effective teaching practices. I thrive to be educated and knowledgeable on the information presented to my students. By having a variety of teaching techniques that work and I use often in my classroom, I am able to mold my instruction around student needs and provide efficient and
In a society where kids must go to school up to the collegiate level, teaching is an impactful career choice. Teachers help contour the minds of future leaders of the world. Furthermore, teachers play a crucial role in guiding students to the knowledge, skills, and abilities they need to succeed in life, and teachers lead students to make informed decisions on any topic the meet in the future. As a teacher, a person must relinquish their knowledge onto students. Finally, they must prepare their students for all the obstacles they will face later in life.
I plan on attending trainings to keep up with the various concepts and principles that I will have to follow when teaching. I will also need to develop deeper understandings of adolescent development, which will help when I am teaching to see changes in behavior and understanding and how it relates to each individual student. As a long term goal, I will build relationships with fellow teachers to provide them support and learn together to become a team of advocates for our students. I know that it is up to me to grow and continue learning all that I can to provide my students with the best learning experience possible.
Becoming a teacher was not something I always knew I wanted. As I approached an age where I really started considering what I would like to do for a career I only knew that I did not want to work in an office behind a desk all day. I wanted a job that would be interactive, challenging and exciting. I also knew I wanted a job that would be important and would somehow contribute to the world in an important way. I thought being a teacher; particularly a teacher in the primary levels would fulfill those hopes and goals assuming I dedicate myself to becoming an effective teacher who has a positive influence on the lives of my students.
Teachers serve as the guiding force in a student’s life. They are responsible for molding a student’s personality and shaping his/her mental orientation. Teachers deeply impact our lives and direct the course of our future. One cannot deny the influence of teachers in one’s life. In fact, it would not be an exaggeration to say that, till a certain age, out life revolves around our teachers. They are our constant companions, until we grow old enough to come out of their shadow and move ahead on our own.
Being a teacher is not an easy task as many people could think. To be a teacher does not only imply to know the subject to be taught, it also includes being willing to constantly improve oneself integrally, as much as updating the resources and materials one uses in teaching. Reflecting and analyzing over and over again the best way to teach to learn and how to make students to extend what has been learned. The many hours spend in the classroom will never be enough to plan lessons, prepare materials, review pupils tasks and exams, as well, all the administrative requirements one has to cover for whatever institution we work. Besides all this a good teacher, a professional one, will have to find the time to keep preparing to improve oneself.
An effective teacher will excite, inspire and motivate students to be active in their learning, investigate new areas of knowledge and make connections to future learning (Whitton et al 2010). When a teacher is successful, their students are motivated, mutually respectful and ready to build on their knowledge and solve real-world problems. To be a teacher of value, one must have many skills and qualities to cater for a diversity of learners and their individual development; this includes many personal traits that are noticed students.
When thinking of a philosophy of teaching, four major issues need to be considered. Those issues are one’s views on education, the role of the teacher, teaching and learning, and on the children. This is something that someone entering the teaching profession needs to give serious thought to and realize the importance that this will hold in the future. The following essay will express my philosophy of teaching.
“Teaching is often a difficult process, but the end result is very rewarding. Watching a child develop confidence and seeing a student progress in their studies is a very exciting process. Teaching young children is especially great because it is setting a foundation for life-long learning.”(Chronicle guidance publications). What is teaching? A teacher is a person who provides education for pupils (children), or students (adults) using lectures, audiovisual aids, demonstrations, and computers to present academic, social, and motor skills. Teachers can also teach foreign languages, art, kids with special needs, and P.E. Teaching has changed a lot compared to the traditional methods of just lectures and textbooks. Students now are encouraged to actively learn through groups or individual projects. They have learning games, debates, and experiments to help them through the learning process. Being a teacher would be a great career for anyone who wants to further themselves, to help people, and to have great benefits (chronicle guidance publications).
Teaching is a daunting task that I do not intend to take lightly. Becoming a teacher has been a dream of mine for several years. I always knew that teaching would be the career for me, especially when I began working in the school system as a substitute secretary. I loved working in the school environment; coming in contact with children everyday made me realize how much I would enjoy teaching a classroom full of students.
As a future educator, I have many goals. My first goal would be to never overpower my students. Being a teacher should not be a job, it should be a passion. I will focus my classroom around the student’s needs, rather than my own. The classroom will revolve around the students. I will be their guiding hand through education. Another goal of mine is to have the students interact in a positive way. Social interaction is very important. As students combine with peers they share knowledge and learn how to solve problems. In the real-world, this what will happen. Whenever I can, I li...
