Disney world, Paris, Australia, Italy; all amazing places I’m sure, but I’ve never been. Although there is one place I have been to; it was none other than Blackpool Pleasure Beach!
So you say to yourself, on one hand there is Blackpool and on the other there is Australia… now I know which one I’d rather go to. However, it all boils down to one thing: money. Good old money; that “green stuff” which makes the world go around. So with lack of that very thing, it had to be ‘sunny old Blackpool’: how exciting!
My expectations of Blackpool were not what you would call high; in fact I didn’t expect anything at all. Despite this some of my expectations were met exactly, others were pleasantly surprising.
Blackpool is known for its forty two acre Pleasure Beach, Blackpool tower; a name so ironic it’s unbelievable; and for the largest concentration of fast, super-fast, small and huge roller coasters in Europe. Yes! I did my research!
This tourist spot gives popular a whole new meaning; it is the annual home of some 6.5 million people, and what’s more, these people actually go there to have fun! Truthfully, I, being hopefully not the only person who has a fear of any type of rollercoaster, didn’t really go and expect to have fun. Forgive me if I am offensive, but I find the place dirty and shabby to say the least or may be this is a biased view as I’m not a lover of fast rides, seagulls and almost derelict hotels. Now I’m not the kind of girl who loves her appearance so much, she jus must never be seen in a place like Blackpool, that would be self obsessed, nevertheless, I fail to see the excitement in staying in an apartment where spiders inhabit the cracks in the walls; Where ice cold draughts breeze in through the singular window in...

...kpool too, and over them five very interesting days rain became more of an attraction; it was almost something to be proud of.
Having not expected much to come from my stay there, I was overjoyed when suddenly I knew that just because I didn’t like fast rides, I could still have fun with my friends and it was even better when I found my lost home.
All in all my stay in Blackpool was relaxing and unexpected and then it rained. It got better but then it rained. So despites the inevitable rain, I had an amazing time. My chances of visiting Australia are still about as nonexistent and my Piggy bank and my dreams of Disney world have been written off. All of it was replaced by Blackpool. A resort only on my doorstep, along with its fun-loving attractions; however contradicting that may sound because of my lack of enthusiasm to roller coasters, I’d still recommend it!
Thorpe Park is one of the popular theme parks in the UK. It has been transformed from a flood land to a leisure attraction in past 70-80 years. It has been ranked amongst the top 20 theme parks in Europe. The main aim for Thorpe park is to become world leader and providing best of entertainment and high quality of health and safety standards (Total Thorpe park, 2016).
Universal Studios Orlando, some say that it is the best amusement park in the world with some of the best rides in the world. It has some great restaurants where you can go to eat after a very long day at the park and relax. It has has more amazing things too that you will read about in this review.
What comes to mind when you hear the word adventure!!? Well there is a place in Florida that is guaranteed to bring out your inner kid every time you visit. This place is known as universal Orlando Florida. This is a place where you can go on vacation and have fun like never before as you did when you were a kid. On my visit to Orlando I stated at a four-star resort located inside the theme park known as Cabana Bay Beach Resort, also went to universal studios and islands of adventure were I felt like I was a kid again.
When we left the hotel, my parents had a tough time finding the theme park. There were so many overpasses and lanes, my dad missed the exit a few times. Luckily, my dad finally got off at the right exit. When we first arrived, I was so excited. I had never seen so many seen so many people in one place, and the climate was very different compared to El Paso. I remember listening to the roars of the roller coasters and the screams of the people on them. We finally got into the park. As we entered, I remember it being very humid and moist. There were so many different smells coming from the restaurants.
As I opened my eyes, I saw a giant cruise ship in front of my eyes.It took two whole days but we finally reached Florida where we went Rock Gliding. It’s where you have to get past a giant, rocky maze. The winner gets to cans of ice cream.Though my sister won,we all shared the ice cream.Next stop, the Bahamas!!!In the bahamas we went parasailing up 700 ft above water level,it was so much fun.The boat driver even let us touch the smooth, light blue water with our feet. Finally, we ended with a relaxing dolphin swim on the soft, delicate beach of Jamaica.
An experience I will always remember was when I went to Blackpool with my football team. It was early April 2009, my football team had enlisted in a tournament in Blackpool and we were eager to go.
Rollercoasters, the star of an amusement park and an achievement in physics, date back decades. In history there is no doubt that people created countless of amazing coasters. They could be record holders, they could do the impossible or they could inspire the design of many other rollercoasters. Nevertheless they are all made because of our knowledge of the laws of physics. Rollercoasters symbolize how we, throughout the years, can use this knowledge to our advantage. Rollercoasters is a way to express physical science while providing safe (if designed correctly) amusement to all.
Carnival’s strategy focused on the "Fun Ship" concept, beginning with the Mardi Gras, which targeted people of all ages. In recent years the driving force behind why a person needs to take a vacation has changed. Today vacationers look to get away from everyday stress, and opt for a stress-relieving cruise.
Just because the roller coasters are the big advertisement opportunity, doesn't mean that there aren’t other attractions. In the park, you get a schedule that has a list of all the shows and exhibitions that are available that day. When I went, they had an Aviary that was filled with birds of all different colors that you could feed if you purchased the milk that was in the building. Also, they had shows such as an animal show where you sat on benches and watch as they showed off exotic creatures such as a hawk, fox, wolf, owl, and hamsters by putting them through trained tests that had everybody clapping at the end of
As I stepped out of my Jeep the hot air hit my face. The sun was high over the lake and the birds were singing their beautiful songs. The smell of clean fresh lakes and wet grass filled the air. The air was thick and humid for a mid June day.
After eating our sack lunches, our group of five decided to enter the park. I can hear the roller coaster tracks and machinery almost sounding like a train, watching the faces of the people. After...
I have always been fascinated by carnival rides. It amazes me that average, ordinary people eagerly trade in the serenity of the ground for the chance to be tossed through the air like vegetables in a food processor. It amazes me that at some time in history someone thought that people would enjoy this, and that person invented what must have been the first of these terrifying machines. For me, it is precisely the thrill and excitement of having survived the ride that keeps me coming back for more.
Amusement parks are by far one of the most thrilling places on earth. As you wait in a long line to get in park, you can hear numerous kids, adults, and tourist shouting off the top of their lungs due to a tremendous jaw-dropping drop on their beloved roller coasters.
Never ending queues weaved and meandered through the swarm of people away from the attractions in a random route. People, families, boyfriends and girlfriends stand idle and lethargic, waiting in line patiently for the hurricanes of fear and enjoyment to ride upon them, listening to the squeals of both horror and excitement increasing in volume as the ride turns and twists, goes round the loop-de-loop and curves in every direction.
When I heard my parents talking about going to Disney World I was so excited. It was a long trip down to Florida and I could not sit still, because I was so excited. We finally arrived that evening and decided to stay in a hotel near the theme park. When it was time for bed I could not go to sleep for a long time, because I was so excited about going at Disney world. When I saw the big mirror ball from the entrance, I was amazed. Disney world had a wide variety of rides. There were tons of rides that shocked me. Some of these rides made you feel like you were riding in a jet because of how fast they were. There was even a roller coaster ride in the huge mirror ball. It was a slow ride, but I still liked it because there was air conditioning inside the ball. We spent all day at the park until we had ridden everything. That night Disney World had a firework show. The fireworks seemed like they lasted forever with the amazing colors bursting in the air one right after another. When the firework show finally ended my parents told me that it was time to leave. I was...
