My Reflection As A Medical Terminology And Medical Assistant

25 years from now I will be helping people and caring for others while being a Male nurse. This has always been my calling and i feel like what i’m learning now will help me tremendously. The classes that I’ve took such a Medical Terminology and Medical assistant, gave me great knowledge prior to my career choice. It has already made a huge impact whenever I had my internship at the local hospital here in Anson. That’s really where I found out where I wanted to end up in my life. Since then I have obtained more knowledge for nothing but the better.
I plan to have a huge impact on my community having people knowing whenever i’m in their room they’re going to be treated greatly. School will be a huge part of that because knowing more than the

next person makes things a whole lot easier and better. I plan to care for all patients equally no matter what the circumstances are. Kids do need to be handled more gentle but it’s a very important to me that they leave thinking “he’s a great guy” or “I want to be like him”. I know I had those moments whenever I met medical professionals whenever I was a kid.
There are not a lot of male nurses so I really hope to open the eyes of young boys around me that there is nothing wrong. If you have the urge to care for people and the urge to be involved then why not chose the career that does nothing but that. Male nurses are paid more just because they are so rare. My goal is just set a great example for all kids in general boy or girl. First impressions are important and it may be the most. I just want to lead by a great example and show every person that I come in contact with while working that I can. I can be a man as a nurse, I can raise a beautiful family and work a full time job and most of all be a successful young black man in this society.
