My Philosophy And Two Philosophies Of Logic And Philosophy

Each child’s mind has a way of its own. No child thinks the same and no child will act the same. Each child will have their own thoughts and their actions will speak for what they think and believe. Ethics and logic are my two philosophies that best describe what I believe is the essential teaching method is. One cannot teach if a child does not understand the right vs wrong concept and if a child does not know how to explain their thought process. Everything someone does has a reason. Whether is an act of kindness or an act of anger there is always a reason. Children always have a reason or a train of thought that has caused them to do what they do. When I sat down with a little girl to ask her why she had colored a picture although she was not told to her response was honest and clear, “because it would make it look pretty.” Many children when asked why they do what they do, their thoughts may be simple and sometimes they don’t make sense, but it’s logical to them. A child’s early stages of learning is essential for their future. Knowing what is right vs wrong is a way to be able to interact with others. A way to make smart decisions for themselves. My first grade teacher had a poster on the wall with little fish. The top had a good amount of fish as the bottom only had one. It stated, “Only because the majority does it, doesn’t mean it’s right, and just because one person does it doesn’t mean it’s wrong.” The image always stuck with me.
