I appreciate assisting others with the opportunity that has been given to me. I hope to be able to repay others the same way, by giving them the same spark of light that was given to me and to provide it back to those in need. The journey of my life is comparable to others in need and has not been no fairy tale, but there can be a “happily ever after” for all veterans in need. I hope to accomplish a extraordinary career in engineering as this will definitely achieve my goals, discover my hidden skills and comfort others in need. So with the right people assisting, the right mindset, the determination, enough persistence, and a little difficult work it will pay off. Earning my engineering degree will not only be one of my biggest accomplishments of my life, moreover it will serve as a badge of honor. Learning to was not painless for me, but in the end my persistence paid off. Not only did I learn how to and to conquer my fear, but I also learned something concerning myself. It is a wonderful feeling when you achieve a goal you have set for
All my life I have been a lazy person, doing just enough to get by. Most of the time, in high school, I was content with just a “C”. The only time I wasn’t, was if it was a class I liked, and I paid attention to. If this was the case, I could have received a 99% on a test and been dissatisfied. But, for the rest of my classes, which were most of my classes, that I didn’t like, I never paid attention to or did homework, and I still managed to do well on tests. So basically I didn’t do anything except take tests and I still got satisfactory grades. In school I was so lazy that there could have been a project due worth about 20% of the final grade and I still wouldn’t do it.
Life goes on as well as we moving on, in order to live a happy life, money, passion, happiness and the meaning of it are essential keys. Among thousands of jobs and over billions of people, having a career or achieving a job is not only important but also competitive. Therefore, deciding what you are going to become has always been the toughest decision in life. I am not talking about Mozart, who was born to play and compose music, or Cristiano Ronaldo who decided to pursue for his career as a football player at the age of 14. I am talking about me and my just-found-out-career in a couple hours earlier, Nursing.
The knowledge acquired in schools and colleges, I believe is not an education, but the means to it. It is this belief that made me a student to the end of my days, the obvious direction being curiosity to wards exploration.
As I am preparing for a new chapter in my life, I have put a lot thought in about what I want out of life and what to look forward to as I get older. In order for one to achieve anything, they need to set goals to reach for. I have a handful of goals for my future, short term and long term, that I will actively work towards in my college years and beyond. In my time at UW Eau Claire, I plan to be involved and engaged in student activities on campus. Being active will help me meet new people, build a better resume, and have fun at college. At UWEC, I would like to get involved in anything musical, along with various clubs and Greek life. Similarly, another goal of mine is to have a job on campus. Having a job will not only help me make some
Real knowledge, like everything else of the highest value, is not to be obtained easily. It must be worked for, studied for, thought for, and, more than all, it must be prayed for”
Electrical engineering is the major that I am pursuing during my college career. I decided to pursue this major because it is a career, which requires knowledge in other subjects, it is a career, which changes often, and everyday it provides a person with new problems to solve.
I am applying for a Masters in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Solid Mechanics to expand on my study of and experience with materials. I have thoroughly enjoyed studying Materials Science and Engineering as an undergraduate at UCLA. I now look forward to moving into graduate study in a field of engineering with a related, but different perspective. Materials Science and Engineering has allowed me to explore both materials and other fields within engineering, contributing to my strong interest in combining my study of Materials Science and Engineering with Mechanical Engineering. I have completed basic coursework in most areas of engineering, learning statics, thermodynamics, basic programming, and circuit design. This has provided a strong foundation to continue graduate study in other engineering disciplines. I
Even though I performed well on tests, quizzes, and projects in all my classes, it was still not enough. I felt that not doing homework would not affect my grade. As a student who strives to do well overall it occurred to me that my priorities were not all there. To me homework was meaningless because some teachers never checked it, but what they did not tell you was that they would give zeros for those who did not do the homework. Based on the questions they
Medicine is a very complex and interesting felid, it 's constantly changing with the new advancements being made all the time. My interest in medicine came at a young age from going to various doctor’s appointments for myself and family members. I found it fascinating how doctors took care of people. I also enjoyed the interaction between the doctor and patient, whether it was a positive or negative interaction.I was very inspired by doctors and wanted to be like them. But I didn’t fully consider a career in medicine until I began high school.
In high school I did not see the need to do my homework as I would get high grades on tests and quizzes anyways. I learned though that not doing the homework had a major impact
My ultimate goal in my career is to make a commendable contribution to the computing world either by starting an innovative venture or doing research which would change the dimensions of future computing and the way we perceive the computers. I am looking at Graduate studies to provide me with the required expertise to carry out higher studies.
Yes, Finally I am happy to say that I am few steps away from my destination which has been a very long pursuit of my life. I am proud and happy to say that I have dedicated my entire career till now to the field of metallurgy especially in Welding Technology and wishing to further my knowledge in Welding Engineering. With these few words I would proudly recognize myself as RAMANA MURALI SRINIVASAN with a hope and determination that one day I will prove to be an asset to this entire universe.
Kralovec, author of The End of Homework argues that doing homework during high school has little or no effect on successful study skills of students in college. College students have only a few hours of class a week and lots of daytime hours in which to study. She says the college schedule is nowhere as grueling as in high school. In addition, the average adult does not return home from the office with three or more hours of work to complete (Kralovec). When "busy work" assignments are given carelessly and frequently, it causes students to lose interest in the subject. Negative results can also occur when a student is not able to complete his or her homework. Many times they will resort to copying homework, having others do their assignments, or cheating on tests. Bad habits such as these are likely to follow kids through their lives and have an effect on their moral judgment. With no consequences to these actions students will almost always take the easy way out when it comes to homework
To learn and experience something new and out of your norm can be a pretty scary thing, almost like being in a foreign country and not knowing your surroundings; what do you do? You panic! I can remember clearly an event during my childhood, it was one of the hardest thing I've ever had to do, and that was learning how to rock climb. All my friend’s parents would take them to a nearby gym after school. It was a gym for kids and rock climbing was the cool thing to do. I wanted to go so badly and feel cool, just like my friends, but I was always afraid of heights. Never liked heights as a child, and when I was growing up I was left with that fear. One day I decided to face my fears, and thought to myself that rock climbing was an important skill to have under my belt. Also I thought this was a step closer to overcome my fear and rock climbing was the perfect way to get over that fear. I also knew this would be a great experience and will help me become physically and mentally stronger. What I didn’t realize was that learning to rock climb would also boost my self-esteem and to make me believe in myself more. I always felt on edge when I was faced with a new situation. It made me feel uncomfortable and not quite myself, it still does sometimes. But I knew with my very first rock climbing lesson there weren’t any more excuses! I simply had to face my fear and just do it. There was no going back.
times it felt like just another burden to add to my homework load, but as I look back I realize that
