Although I began getting into art when I was about 8 years old, my passion for art started in Jr. High when I had my first real art class. In eight grade my mom signed me up for additional lessons in painting and though I usually prefer using ink pen or colored pencil these lessons definitely gave me another perspective in art. In high school I truly began seeing my strengths and weaknesses in art. Freshman year I was entered in the state fair and won an award, I also received a certificate of excellence in the fine arts. Sophomore and junior year were probably the biggest changing points in my art career. In sophomore year I took my first graphic design class and have continued with graphic design till senior year of high school. Over summer
Rathnasambhava, the Transcendent Buddha of the South and Madonna Enthroned are very similar images that were produced by very different cultures. Both images were produced during the 13th Century. The image of Rathnasambhava, the Transcendent Buddha of the South was produced in Tibet during an interesting period of the country’s religious history. The branch of Tibetan Buddhism is led by a religious and sometimes political leader called the Dalai Lama. It was during the 13th Century during the reign of Kublai Khan, around the time of the production of this painting, that Tibet experienced the first incarnation of the Dalai Lama. One has to wonder if this painting is somehow related to that occurrence. According to one source, the reincarnation system for the Living Buddhas is the main point distinguishing Tibetan Buddhism from other forms of Buddhism.
Throughout my life, I have loved to draw. Due to my love of drawing, I decided to take a career in something that has to do with art. A few things have happened in my life that has caused me to take this path. Three people that I have interacted in some way, are the reason for my choices.
When you love to do something, you want to do it every day, all the time, till you get sick of it. Even then that excitement and devotion to do it is still there. That is how I feel about art. I have a great passion for it. It is a form where I can express myself in a way words can’t.
Growing up I took a class for almost every form of the arts that there is and excelled at every one of them. I could paint, draw, sculpt, and most everything else proficiently before I even entered high school. Around the time I did enter high school though my passion came to a standstill because none of the classes my school offered were challenging for me. It became so boring that I was thinking of quitting art all together. That was when I had one of the most empowering experiences of my life.
Art classes throughout kindergarten and up to my junior year in college have taught me so much about expression, performance and making a statement. Learning and practicing art introduces a new way of processing information, and approaching problems. In my
Anything that is worthwhile in life will require some planning, whether it's for a small meal or for an important examination. Like most people, I often find it difficult to prepare, especially if I think it is a hard task to visualize. However, if I set some small achievable objectives, my final goal can be achieved in a timely matter. I want to improve myself as an artist, earn a little extra money, and make friends in the same artistic fields. For the next few months, my main objective is to become an online character designer that people will regularly come to for business and to help myself attain this goal, I have made three small and simple goals to help will me reach my destination.
I was never in control of what I wanted painted but instead was just led on by society to do what was important for others but not myself. I never realized what my painting had become because I was focused on a portion of the piece instead of looking at it as a whole. I knew I had to begin fresh so the start of junior year, I seized the paintbrush from society and began to draw anew. My passions were different now. Join the clubs I would enjoy, keep grades up but still leave time for myself, if you work hard, awards will come to you, study hard and play hard.
My short term goal is to graduate from Academy of Art University as soon as possible. Afterwards I want to find a job in an established company so that I gain some experience. In my country, although animations has started been produced to entertain people, I do not think that the graphic, storyline, and other qualities meet the industry standard when compared internationally. So for my long term goal, I would want to build my own animation studio back in my country. I want to improve the overall quality so that animations in my country can go international.
The first art that I contacted is cartoon. Everyday watched the character through television became my most important thing after school of kindgarden. Visual art such as cartoon really attracted me and leads me in the path of an artist. My mom has said not everything has a price, sometimes the value depends on what you think. People might think clothes is just clothes, they don't need to pay hundreds or thousands of dollars on those luxury clothes, such as Dolce&Gabanna and Valentino.
Art is everywhere whether one likes it or not, and can be appreciated in the smallest of ways. It’s absolutely necessary for the growth of a society and its people. It’s mainly used for businesses today to either raise people’s opinions of their company or sell a product. For example if you go to the marketplace and you pick up a gallon of milk the first thing you may see on that gallon is a picture of a cow or the same milk being poured into a glass in a way that captures the eye and makes you think “wow that looks great!” This is the most common use for visual art today and often makes people “miss the point” of what it truly means (Why Art Matters, 1). Advertisement is one of the biggest fields in then visual arts and shapes the way we see a product as well as the choices we make on such judgment. This is where the illusion comes in making the visual arts, a potentially harmful thing. The illusion of it comes from what’s true and what’s made up or “altered truth”. A company could make their product seem way better than it really is essentially tricking people into buying it. One example is when you go to a fast food restaurant and you see signs of perfect looking sandwiches when in reality they don’t look like that. Most people don’t see any illusion but when they do it’s hard for them to see the other side of things, the ones that aren’t “stretching the truth”. People today tend to see that kind of advertisement as normal. In fact, it kind of helps with things like morale by making things seem much more worth it and just all around nicer. So there for the arts are the very “soul” of a successful business.
I think about art often. My father is an artist as well as my sister. I grew up surrounded by art either in paintings, dance, or art performances I attended at my sister’s high school, the arts academy. My desire to create art must have a root in my childhood, where I was constantly involved in beautiful creations of the human
What is the significance of experiencing art rather than simply looking at it? In my opinion, it’s obtaining a personal effect from the artwork itself, such as a feeling, emotion, or reaction, however, you only can figure out its primary purpose by viewing it. The importance of experiencing art is allowing the artwork to have an impact upon you, so you can be able to encounter the uniqueness of the artist’s work. It is important to experience art rather than looking at it because there are many artists with different purposes and views, so by gaining observations of their artwork you are discovering the different meanings between all the paintings that you observed. When experiencing art we must take an imaginative leap in visualizing texture
Imagine a painting of your life, what colors would be there? How would you show the different times in your life? Would you shade the areas where you had a hard time or use lines to show that? Being a artist that never truly finishes their work would be hard. When you are young, your enthused about painting. As you start to get older, all you want to do is visit with friends, so you miss that part of your life. Then you get back on track and work like crazy to make up wasted time. But you think to yourself “Will I ever finish my masterpiece or will it end when I do?”
The arts have influenced my life in amazing ways. Throughout my life, art has been the place I run to and my escape from the world. As I’ve grown older, art has become so much more than that. Every piece of art I create is a journey into my soul. It’s a priceless way to deal with my emotions and my struggles. I create art not only because I enjoy it and because I want to, but because I have to. Somewhere deep inside there is a driving force, urging me to put my heart down on paper. I become emotionally attached to each of my pieces because they are like dashes on the wall marking my growth. Each one is the solution to a problem I have dealt with and overcome.
Human’s have always struggled to express themselves. Art, is considered by many to be the ultimate form of human expression. Many assume that art has a definition, but this is not the case. Art, it can be said, is “in the eye of the beholder.” This simply means that what you consider art, someone else would not. Art is part of a person’s internal emotions, which signifies why different people see art as different things. Every type of culture and era presents distinctive and unique characteristics. Different cultures all have different views of what art can, and would be, causing art itself to be universally renowned throughout the world.
