Communities are essential to our lives as human beings whether they are a religious, service, or sports comunity, etc. They add a sense of belonging and purpose towards our lives, along with a reason to keep on moving. For me, personally, I feel that I belong to several communities, including the Austin community, the Nihalani community, the tennis community, the dance community, the piano community, and many more. One important community that I belong to is the Nihalani community. This community gives me a sense of where I come from and a sense of what my purpose in life is. By being a part of this community, which is also my family, I have learned much about what it means to be who I am. I have also learned about where my roots lie and …show more content…
It is extremely important for me to sustain my place within this community because I know that whenever I may be feeling low or need help, this community will be my go-to place. In addition, this community is the most important community for me, personally, to be a part of because of all that it provides me with. My family has stuck by my side through the good and the bad, the ups and the downs. One major characteristic of the Nihalani community is that we are accepting towards each other and always by each other's sides. They always truly understand what I may be going through and are always willing to lend a helping hand. This community brings me happiness, family, companionship, and forgiveness when I need it the most, Along with gaining a lot from my family, I am always sure that I give them just as much as they have given me. I am always sure to bring my happiness and sympathy towards what other people are feeling or going through. In addition, I am always sure to bring my support and care towards others within the community. The Nihalani community gives me eternal joy, love, guidance, and hope for the future. Above all that this community provides for me is what I feel that I must provide for it. I know that I must always help those within my community. I also know that I must always give back to my family what they have given me. For example, when I am down, I know that I can always rely on my sister’s
Another foundation of the community is the lack of choises for the citizens. All choises have either been settled in the past or are adopted by the Committee of Elders. The only real choice that the citizens have over their live is weather to have an familiy unit and, for the students, where to spend their volunteer hours . This was a needed action for the community to prevent the citizens of making wrong decisions. As the Giver said, every member of the community lives a life that was created for him or her .
A community is to help and support each other to be successful. Everyone is involved in a certain community regardless of anything. A community I am commit with is CAMP from CSUMB which stands for College Assistance Migrant Program. My community is a federally funded program that assists first year freshmen who have a migrant background and students whose parents are seasonal farmworkers. CAMP assist their students with many useful services such as with a grant of up to 1,200 dollars. My community is very important to me for the reason they are guiding me to be successful while encouraging me to graduate from college. In my community we tend to communicate really often such as in the article "Learning to Serve" by Toni Mirabelli. As in the article, my community also communicates by using various literacy such as writing, reading , and speaking.
Community is like a Venn diagram. It is all about relations between a finite group of people or things. People have their own circles and, sometimes, these circles overlap one another. These interceptions are interests, common attitudes and goals that we share together. These interceptions bond us together as a community, as a Venn diagram. A good community needs good communication where people speak and listen to each other openly and honestly. It needs ti...
A community is the feeling of togetherness felt in a setting with a group of people who share similar characteristics. Living in Scott Hall my freshman year of college, shaped my view of community quickly. Going to organized events, socializing in common areas and interacting with my Resident Advisors gave me an ideal

Over the years I have been very involved in my community and school. Being a part of something helps to define who you are as a person and the principles and values you hold as important. A personal experience that helps to show my talents and skills can be illustrated by my trip to Italy last April with the MHS Language Department.
... that is always there for each other. If a person needs help, everybody does their best to give whatever they can, whether that is money or just a helping hand. Also it is refreshing to show people that they can’t lump everybody into the same box of stereotypes. We need to look beyond stereotypes to the “real people”.

Thus my passion for helping others stems from a tender age of five. From that age, I always exercised helping people by sharing my snack to those in need. That need grew rapid throughout my days of Primary and Secondary school where I haven’t only shared my snack, but I also bought snacks for those in need, assisted disable kids to write, open their snack or to use the washroom facility. My nickname then was Mother Theresa. I also became a peer counselor in high school to assist those that were hurting, abused or neglected. Not only to provide them with a listening ear, but to encourage and motivate them. To help them realize that their current situation is not their final destination and they are the ones that can control what lies ahead of them. Putting a smile on other people’s faces brought me tremendous joy. As a result, I still have that dying need to assist others out there. To show them that there is still hope in humanity, still, hope for a vigorous life and to help them reach their maximum potential in
Founded by the people, a community is made of the people. By minimizing all the drugs, alcohol, and corruptness of family life, we can prosper in a direction that will further our communities wealth, health, services, and outlook on people. It’s not much of what I can do for our community but what us as a people can do for the community.
A community is comprised of a group of goal oriented individuals with similar beliefs and expectations. Currently the term is used interchangeably with society, the town one lives in and even religion. A less shallow interpretation suggests that community embodies a lifestyle unique to its members. Similarities within the group establish bonds along with ideals, values, and strength in numbers unknown to an individual. Ideals and values ultimately impose the culture that the constituents abide by. By becoming part of a community, socialization...
A Community can be defined as a group of people who don’t just live in the same area, but also share the same interests, experiences and often concerns about the area in which they live. Often when individuals have lived on a street or in an area for a while they become familiar with each other and the issues surrounding them. Children often attend the same schools and grow up together, again sharing similar experiences. In some instances adults may work together, and quite commonly all community members will share the same doctors, dentists, hospitals, health visitors and other public services and facilities.
The Role of Community in Society Communities are an essential part of our society, because we all depend and interact with each other. Communities are groups of people that help an individual to learn and develop new ideas. A society is where people’s relations with each other are direct and personal and where a complex web of ties link people in mutual bonds of emotion and obligation. The idea of community has provided a model to contrast to the emergence of more modern less personal societies where cultural, economic and technological transformations have uprooted tradition and where complexity has created a less personal and more rationalized and goal directed social life.
