Media can speak a lot about one's personality. Media outlets, and various forms of media one uses can give you a good perspective on what they are like as a person. If someone is mostly using media for news you would assume this person is very educated and likes finding new information out about current events. On the other hand, if one is using Instagram, and watching E! News you can conclude this person likes to stay up to date with celebrities, and style. In my own life I am a very avid user of all different types of media.
Throughout my daily life I use atleast Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and Netflix. I would say social media, and texting are the two mediums most important to my daily routine. I utilize social media all throughout the day, whether it is to entertain or educate. Text messaging I use just as often

Now I view media with fresh eyes, I am able to deeply analyze different aspects of media. I also gained a understanding of how marketing in the media works, how different markets reach their audiences, etc. In my media career I hope to someday become a video editor. With the concepts, and theories I gained from this class I have an edge on understanding how to reach people through media. Not only how to reach people, but how to organize media in a way that is going to keep the attention of my audience. If I were to ever want to look deeper into the statistics of a video I have made and get it to be a suggestion for people who watch similar things, I would know what I am looking to do thanks to this class. I also have a vivid understanding of how media affects people, what they gain, and what they will automatically have a dislike for. Being able to analyze how other people see media, and the trends that have risen through media will help guide me in ways to make appealing videos that will reach multiple

This class gave me an opportunity to further develop my skills in adapting my artifact to fit the confines of my chosen media and also using its features to complement my argument. The second and third artifact utilized an electronic blog and a website, respectively. They both allowed me to integrate pictures, videos and other forms of media. I was able to implement video scenes from YouTube in the Modern Chivalry website to support my argument. Proper utilization of the chosen media is integral to conveying an argument, media can either add or take away to your argument; the inclusion of extraneous material is detrimental to the success of your argument as it distracts readers from focusing on the remaining content and often causes confusion to readers when a connection cannot be established between the textual content and the videos and graphics; a problem I encountered in my second artifact as some pictures had no bearing to the
There have been considerable debate on research of media comparison as it relates to education over the past few years. According to Richard Clark, there has been a "paradigm shift" that occurred in instructional media research during the past decade from a behavioral to a more cognitive approach. (Anglin 348).
How often do we text? Text messaging is a very useful way to communicate; but, there are occasions where texting is unnecessary, for example in meetings, watching movies, interacting with family, and even in the shower. However, while texting can be overused, it can also help us get to know one another in easier and faster ways. In Natalie Y. Moore’s article “The Rule of Thumbs: Love in the Age of Texting," she explains how the use of texting it is slowly destroying the love between two people (Moore, 1). Although, some people might agree with Moore points of view, when she argues that texting is killing romance and it should be reserved for some notifications, such as “I’m running late;” others might disagree with this idea
The videos we watched during class were shown at the end of the semester to so, as students we could be able to pull examples of what delayed gratification and GRIT is. Also, the videos could help us become better students; for example, with GRIT I learned that no matter how hard the semester can be I should stick to the class, do everything that I am supposed to on my part in the end hopefully what I have done will pay off.
Currently, social media is the most popular method of communicating and interacting with others. It is a methodology to new media as it changes and evolves with our needs and expectations. Social media has evolved and adapted to become a huge part of our personal and professional lives.
Newscasting is a job that provides news for millions of people around the world. Newscasters can work online, in television, or in radio. Newscasting is a very important job because it is the only source of real news we consume, not alternative facts like others state. It gives the people of the world information that they might not have been aware of. This career is important to me because ever since I was a little girl I've had a passion for wanting to help others and also be on television.

In the end this assignment was one that was not only eye-opening, but also one that had some personal fulfillment was well. I was able to truly access my own personal usage and see not only how it compared to others but also show me that I needed to really think and question myself about if I truly need to use Media as much as I currently do. Along with this the Media silent day also showed me that we don 't need to be connected with the media for our lives to function normally and that in fact we as humans can be much more productive without it, something that I was able to experience first hand over these 5 days. What I learned about my media consumption I know I will carry with me not only throughout this year but hopefully my entire life as well.
In both the excerpt about unferth form Beowulf and the poem “The Wife’s Lament”, themes of betrayal and anger are woven into the texts. To begin with, Unferth expresses his feelings of anger and contempt towards beowulf. For example, unferth states, “ are you beowulf who competed with Brecca,.. but Brecca outstayed you, he was stronger.”(Line 420-435) Thus, Unferth tries to embarrass beowulf and ruin his reputation. However, beowulf responses to unferth by saying, “ Truly, Unferth my friend, all this beer has made you talkative”(Line 445) In short, Beowulf realizes that unferth is a sad, old drunk and explains to unferth what really happened with him and Breca. Moreover, Beowulf explains to Unferth that he was attacked by nine sea monsters that night and brings up unferth's
I find social media a perfect way to stay in the loop of what is going on with my friends. Although Eva likes to post pictures of her favorite celebrities, I enjoy using twitter to stay up to date on my favorite sports teams and players. We all can agree that although we do not post selfies or constantly update social media on what we are doing at that very moment, we enjoy benefits social media gives us.

Please include areas of interest and where you see yourself working after graduation from the Media Production program. (300 words) I have chosen Media Production because I believe that my interest in media and computers would be beneficial in this field. The reason why I believe I am a good candidate for this program is because I have had plenty of experience of making my own videos in and out of school.
Perhaps the strongest foundation for media education rests in the fact that increased awareness of media transforms students from passive to active participants in society. Learners must be offered hands-on application opportunities to increase their own knowledge and enjoyment of the media. The integration of formal media analysis with media production is an essential constituent of media literacy. Creative ventures, such as television or radio production, the development of a rock video or song, photography classes, script-writing, web-page development, or hypertext projects should be made available for students' participation and perusal. Students must be exposed to various forms of communication before they can recognize logical disparities, determine the strength of an argument, evaluate mass media, and actively join our democratic society as partners.
As a communications major, I plan on knowing media literacy inside and out to the best of my ability.
Social media can be used in our days as a very helpful tool for many things in changing any person’s life ant attitude. It has a positive impact on the society level. These media will keep the person socially active and open to all what happened in the world. Sharing the latest news, photos, finding new friends and knowing the culture. Also, it allows for millions to keep in touch with each other and update for all the new technology. And, it helps people who have difficulties in communication with others to be more socialized and stronger and develop more confidence to feel more comfortable, protected and relaxed just sitting behind a screen. “It saved me time and money without ever requiring me to leave the house; it salvaged my social life, allowed me to conduct interviews as a reporter and kept a lifeline open to my far-flung extended family” says Leonard(231).
