ROMANCE! I love romance and being romantic.. I enjoy pampering my woman (that is when I have one)..
Am constantly told that I'm good looking and both look and act far younger than my years (while still being responsible for the most part).. Am considered intelligent, honest, capable of carrying on conversations on a variety of topics, kind, caring, giving, compassionate, a leader with a commanding presence, successful, possessing a quirky sense of humor and so much more! You will find me a contradiction in terms.. I can be intense yet laid back, intelligent yet do some of the most stupid things, outgoing yet shy, a leader yet not afraid to take directions and be a role player, funny yet serious, etc..
The reality is that I truly do seek a

Someone who can relate about life and it's ups and downs and will want to share them.. I want my match to be able to work together to obtain goals that we've both set.. I'd like us to be able to grow as individuals as well as a couple.. I'd want our relationship to be secure so that we could feel comfortable and trust each other completely without question!.. I would want to be her everything and she mine.. I want the WHOLE package.. A friendship that grows into the ultimate loving/caring/passionate relationship that one only dreams of.. I don't want to just live with someone, I want someone I can't imagine living without.. I hope that makes sense.. I guess I'm searching for my missing piece to my puzzle.. I'd want my woman to match on all …show more content…
I agree there must be a physical attraction as well.. I always say that it's what on the inside that counts and that always makes a person attractive on the outside as well.. I want to be with someone that I miss when we are not together and I can feel the electricity running through body when we touch.. Someone who likes to cuddle(I know this probably sounds corny), hold hands, hug, kiss for no reason, I want to be the couple when were 80 walking down the street and holding hands.. I just love that when I see it.. Like you I just won't settle..
I do not have a particular physical "type" that appeals to me.. Rather, I tend to look at the entire package, especially personality.. I am not the jealous type by any means.. I believe that in a relationship you have to be a family regardless if the children are not biologically yours a family is a family no matter what! I would never try to be a replacement father it just can't be done, but to be there for that child and support them and be a part of there life is a important
There is no real love without intrinsic characteristics because the two traits are mutually exclusive. However, if one does not love based on characteristics, then the person receiving love receives on empty grounds. Concerning Nozick definition, true romantic love includes loving someone simply for his or her being or for his or her existence. However, I see no reason why a relationship would continue based on loving your partner personality. Nozick notes that when you love based on character, the partner might change his or her character while in the relationship or marriage and the relationship might break or
After analyzing Raymond Carver’s “What We Talk About When We Talk About Love,” it is easy to see that there are several different ideas concerning true love that the characters in the story are in dispute over. Terri’s idea of real love is the most valid out of the group at the table. All of the members of the group are rather confused as to what real love is. Terri is included as one of the confused. However, I believe that she is the closest to understanding what love is. A key piece of evidence demonstrating her understanding of love is her remark to Laura and Nick. She scolds the couple for basing their relationship on physical aspects, rather than emotion or passion. Terri, like the rest of the party, is on her second marriage. Her first husband was an abusive man that beat her, and even dragged her by her ankles around their living room. Terri’s current husband, Mel, is a cardiologist that believes in spiritual love, and that between spouses, people are barren and hollow inside, and that he could be married to any other empty person without difference. Mel is rather shielded from emotion between spouses. His only real love lies with his children, unfortunately Mel allows his conflict with his ex wife to block him from calling his them. Terri does love Mel, but she reminisces about her time with Ed. Terri realizes that Ed was full of emotion, and that he was just befuddled and chaotic in his methods of sharing his feelings....
“His love for Frodo rose above all other thoughts, and forgetting his peril he cried aloud: 'I'm coming Mr. Frodo!” Throughout the Lord of the Rings trilogy by J.R.R Tolkien, one of the most prominent themes present is the life and world changing effects of love. Tolkien reveals the importance of both love, and the different types of love; love among brothers, family, lovers, leaders, animals, and of country are all shown. With numerous examples of the different kinds of love responsible for saving Middle Earth, Tolkien is able to convey the significance and impact of love.
(Prenger, What Do Women Want?). As a woman myself, I would just want someone who is comforting, supportive, understanding, and respectful. All women are different though, none are the exact same, they all look for something different in men. There is no simple answer for exactly what women want in a man, you could ask a hundred women what they look for in men and I can almost guarantee that no answer would be the
In The Awakening, Edna is faced with temptations from various different directions. In the late 1800's, women were expected to be a perfect wife and a dedicated mother. Edna on the other hand breaks that tradition as she is confronted with emotions for two other men. The definition of love and infatuation will vary from person to person. One may think that love is a feeling of deep affection while another person may think it means to feel passionate towards another person. Infatuation is often a difficult word to describe. Some people believe that the definition of infatuation is similar to that of love while others will describe it as a short lived passion towards someone. In The Awakening by Kate Chopin, Edna Pontellier is both in love and infatuated with three men: Léonce Pontellier, Robert Lebrun, and Alcée Arobin.
A first date, a tender touch, a gentle kiss, can all be described as expressions of affection. Innocence often has to do with the fondness and adoration displayed in relationships. The movie, Love Actually, starring Hugh Grant, focuses on different ways of making love work by showing the lives of different people. The film, from time to time, shows a little boy who is falling in love with a girl in his school. He thinks that the best way to win her heart is to become a rock star and so he joins his school band as a drummer. He practices the drum everyday until it’s time for the Christmas concert where he plays his best. At first, the girl does not notice him and he is heartbroken and to make matters worse, she’s leaving the country. He goes to the airport to find her, and, when he does, he kisses her and lets her know that he likes her. While the film does not tell the audience what happens in the future, it can be assumed that there will be a new love blossoming.

According to the Oxford English Dictionary, the word “love” first appeared in the year 825. Love was first written and pronounced as “lufu” in Old English. It had many different types of meanings, but the first definition that was put down was ‘That disposition or stated feeling with regard to a person which(arising from recognition of attractive qualities, from instincts of natural relationship, or from sympathy) manifests itself in solicitude for the welfare of the object, and usually also in delight in his or her presence and desire for his or her approval; warm affection, attachment,’ (“Love,” 2017, p. 52). According to the Online Etymology Dictionary, it means ‘to feel love for, cherish, show love to; delight in, approve’ (Harper, n.d.). Another great definition for the word “love” is ‘an intense feeling of deep affection,’ (“Love,” 2017, p. 56). Though these definitions talk of affection towards an object or person, in history the word “love” has been used in very different ways. In the 1950s, the term “make love” was a euphemism for “have sex”(Harper, n.d.). This term was most utilized by teenagers, using love, instead of lust, as a reason to have sex. On the other hand, the word “love” is used as a term in tennis. At the beginning of every game, the words “love all” are said to signify that both opponents start out with the score of zero. Though it is unclear as to when this began, the most
For many years, love has been argued as to whether it is a feeling or a choice. We experience love in all shapes in forms through family, friends, or significant others. But what is the true, desirable definition of love? You would be surprised with how much this four letter word means to the world and how much it could affect your life. I believe love is something unique and special that most people cannot live without. If you feel as if these characteristics don't exist in your life, then what will you have in the end? (Odo 66) But then again love isn't just about the “magic” you have for someone, but about how to make it work and to keep that meaning alive, and about learning to love yourself before you love others.
There are many factors that contribute to attraction. Some examples of these are proximity, physical attractiveness, similarity, and mutual liking. Often, many of these work cohesively and simultaneously to cause and retain attraction.
Love is perhaps the most widely used but also most ambiguous words in the English language. In modern culture, it penetrates almost every corner of public and private life, yet if one were to ask its meaning of even three different people, there would likely be discontinuity between the answers. While it is possible to define the word “love” based on its grammatical operation, to understand its full meaning or lack thereof, deeper examination is required. Love is used both as a noun and a verb in modern English, yielding several subcategories such as action, feeling, or even person. By analyzing each of the different applications of the word “love,” one can come to a clearer understanding of what it means and how it can be applied in everyday life.
I want a wife who will take care of my physical needs. I want a wife who will keep my house clean. A wife who will pick up after my children, a wife who will pick up after me. I want a wife who will keep my clothes clean, ironed, mended, replaced when need be, and who will see to it that my personal things are kept in their proper place so that I can find what I need the minute I need it.
Sexual attraction refers to desirability as it relates to a sexual connection; individuals are sexually attracted to those they would perceive as a mate in some way. This attraction can be rooted in a variety of factors, including those both tangible and intangible. Sexual attraction often refers to physical attraction, or being aroused by a person’s physical traits. These can include appearance, smell, or voice. However, sexual
