My Life Soundtrack
In a world like today, one must stay true to their own beliefs, even if they are standing alone. A person must have a mode for motivation and a positive outlook. One of the things that keep me going in today’s world is, doing me and what makes me happy, and wanting to leave an impact on the world, no matter what people think. I realize I have done wrong in my life, but I can accept it. I’ve been lost, now I’m found. I want to leave my mark somewhere, I don’t really care where, just somewhere that it will make a difference. I’m ready to show people who I am and what I’ve done. 8) I’m proud of myself and doing what my mom has always wanted for me. The support and encouragement I receive from my mother is endless, not only as a one in today’s world, but all the choices I make while living in it. One of the songs I hold so close to my heart is “I hope You Dance”, by Lee Ann Womack. I’ll never forget my mom’s beautiful voice as she sung, “ Whenever one door closes I hope one more opens, Promise me that you’ll faith a fighting chance, and when you get the choice to sit it out or dance. I hope you

I strongly believe that this needs to change. We need to be slower to judge, and quicker to understand everyone is different. “Fight Song”, By Rachel Platten is my go to. “ And all those things I didn’t say. Wrecking balls inside my brain. I will scream ‘em out tonight. Can you hear my voice this time? This is my fight song. Take back my life song” (Platten 2015). I don’t care who someone is, there will come a time when a person realizes they can’t make everyone happy. There will always be someone trying to knock an individual down. Show them a “Fight Song” (Platten 2015). Prove to them that what they think is irrelevant, and continue being oneself. Be strong, never give up. Whatever one chooses to do, they need to pour their heart and soul into it and own
Every person begins as an average person, but somewhere down the road they realize what they are doing is not enough. As a result of this enlightenment, they walk down a different path than others and stand up for what they believe in. It is this commitment that changes this ordinary person into an extraordinary individual. They embark on adventures that are said to be hopeless and succeed in attaining it. Arising from there – a tenacious resolution to do what is morally correct – nothing is no boundary for what can be accomplished.
Growing up, life wasn't easy. As a result of these adversities, I've been able to not only see, but personally experience, having a constant battle in my life. Throughout this journey of life, I’ve had the opportunity to meet people and learn about different backgrounds and hardships many others suffer from. These experiences,
In her life, she has overcame obstacles that most people in life most likely would not overcome such as rape, abuse, and even losing her daughter on Christmas Day. Despite of all she has gone through in her life, she is determine to help people to their lives better.
Because people judge others, and tell the community how they should think about them, those who are judged
Nothing lasts forever. Everything, whether good or bad has to come to an end. But people do say that sounds and voices do not die. Melodies we hear in our life lives on for generations and ever after. No matter who we are or wherever we come from; in whichever situation we were in, at some point of our lives, we have come across certain melodies that still live in our heart. And I am no different from others. There are certain musical pieces that have not only influenced my life, but have made a significant impact to change me for the better.
Music has always been an important part of my life. During high school I have developed areas of service and leadership through interests in children and gardening, which will continue to be major parts of my life.
People often have warped views on you, which in turn can warp your own. Never let this happen. Be aware of what people think of you, and accept your faults. Never take offence to what people say and think about you this will not help anything. Everyone has faults, and taking offence harms your journey. Accepting faults makes you stronger as a person, and strengthens your being.
This comes to the point of micro-aggressions, which are something people say without even realizing it, that is exactly what happens when people view others who think differently than them. When it comes down to this people put up barriers without even realizing that they have just shut this side of that person out because of what others think or because they think differently than they might. The only resolution I see to this issue is to make it more aware of what going and what microaggressions and barriers look
Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” introduced a unique form of rock music by incorporating opera into traditional rock. “Bohemian Rhapsody” became one of the first widely popular rock-opera songs and helped to spread the sub-genre of opera style rock. Queen accomplished this unique style by using opera style vocals with rock instruments such as a drum kit and electric bass. Furthermore, “Bohemian Rhapsody” differs from other rock songs of the time by its length of nearly six minutes and its use of lyrics to tell a complex story. After its release, the song gained great popularity in Britian as well as in America as part of the post-British invasion music phenomenon. Since the release of the song, other artists such as Nina Hagen and Klaus Nomi have
One of our deepest needs as humans is to be valued. The need to be needed is often more powerful than the need to survive. Every one of us has a deep longing to write our signature on the world. As individuals, we are each equipped with unique gifts and talents to share with our family, our community, and our world. Nelson Mandela once said, "As we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." When we open ourselves to become all that we were created to be, we allow those around us to be themselves, empowering them to be a unique individual and to use the talents they possess. It doesn't matter if we are brilliant, beautiful, or incredibly charismatic. We can make a difference by just being who we are. We simpl...
Why do we judge people when we first see them? That person is wearing head wraps so they are going to bomb us. This person is black so they must be in a gang. Someone is skinny so they must anorexic and not eat. Every single person is more than what meets the eye. The person wearing the head wraps have burns on their head that they are afraid to show. The black person helps the needy, and cleans up the environment. The person who is skinny gives their food to their children because they barely have enough to go around. We never know a person’s story by a first glance so why are we so quick to judge people? Society has turned into a person’s worst nightmare. People are getting bullied based on what they look like. Today people don’t take time to actually put themselves in others shoes and see what hey through on a daily basis. We need to fix this issue.
Driving home after a long, difficult day, I turned on some music, searching for relief. The CD in the player consisted of all my favorite songs: “Pee Wee Long Way( Chasing)’,” “Lil Boosie (Long Journey),”Lil snupe “(Nobody),” and many others. My number one favorite song, “(Chasing),” was the first to play. Singing along to the lyrics, my mood was immediately better. This song reminded me of what was important in my life, my dreams and money. I then realized what these songs had in common; they all reflected my feelings on life: don’t give up on your dreams and don’t worry about every little thing life throws at you, keep chasing your dream until you reach the top.
” I got inspired by my mother because she did not have the chance to stay at home with my sister and me. She tried to be the best even if she was not able to be with us all the time. She was a teacher and she had many things to do most of the time. I tried to do what she taught me to do, her values and morals gave me a strong foundation in my life to share with my family.”
My favorite musical moment during the event was when the band explained the meaning of a few songs performed. Each song announced had a different meaning and a different reason for it being written. For example, the one song was written after the Cleveland Cavaliers won the championship game and how they felt. This was interesting to hear because if you’ve grown up in Ohio for your whole life, you understand what that game meant to everyone. To hear how a song/ why a song was created was a unique experience, especially when for once you are able to relate to it. Honestly, it made the songs more interesting, since you were able to feel the passion for that song along with them!
I have a very fulfilling feeling about what I have been able to accomplish in my life so far. I want the absolute best for myself and those close to me. I often go above and beyond to help those around me succeed and be the best version of themselves that they can possibly be.
