My Influences On My Worldview

Humans have struggled for decades to understand humanity itself and the divergent thinking and understanding of life. All humans are different and it’s hard to understand what we are because we have all had different experiences throughout life. Our view of the world is caused by the society and millenia we grew up in. Our worldview is not something that we can just have in one day it is something that we’ve been surrounded by our whole life and that has shaped the way we see the world now. Although we may not be conscious of it we do know that it is within us. Everyday is a change of our worldview whether it be good or bad it is constantly changing from experiences, family, culture, society and social media. It’s hard to distinguish my influences that shaped my worldview but the three that have impacted me the most are my experiences, family and friends, and the community I grew up in.
A major influence on my worldview would be my personal experiences, value and beliefs that go along with that. I experienced all of these and found that they have really shaped me into who I am today. I

believe that the world has to brush away the negative things in life and learn to love and accept each other instead of always going against each other. We are constantly fighting over something in our world and people are getting hate from being their true selves. I also think that in order to live your life fully you need to do things you enjoy and make everyday worth it. I also learned that even if people treat you bad you need to learn to be the bigger person and treat them with respect. I learned that the world is a dangerous place and you should always watch your surroundings and take care of yourself because anything can happen. These things have shaped my worldview and are an essential part of my life and I will continue to value them. Especially those who helped me understand my beliefs and values of life.
My family, more specifically my parents, have really impacted my worldview. My parents instilled in me many of their belief and values that they with too. Through these fifteen years my parents taught me many life lessons and the importance of being aware of my surroundings and that my experiences are what will help me in the future. They have really made me see things in different ways with the advice they give and the disagreements we have. They advised me to be cautious but to not be afraid to go out in the world and seek my future.
They really made me into the person I am because I learned that life's not fair and sometimes you suffer but the main solution is to get back up and try to build from it. Through personal experiences growing up they have made me see that the world is dangerous and very fortuitous because it’s constantly changing. They taught me to be prepared for the unexpected because at any moment anything could happen. When I was little they always told me to be careful and to treat others with the same level of respect that I expect. As I grew older I learned to be caring and that not everyone is going to treat you with respect but that's fine, because life's not fair. I am grateful that my parents have taught me to be polite, well behaved and they also taught me how to live in this world. This has made me a very strong young adult and they also inspired me to get ahead on my education so I can start figuring out my life goals.
At the end of my freshmen year in high school I decided to take summer classes at Chandler- Gilbert community College. Going to college wasn’t as bad as everyone said it would be and to be honest in the beginning I was terrified of sitting in a class of people who were 10 years older than me and probably had more knowledge than me. College is a different experience, everyday is not the same, we’re constantly learning different things and there's always something new each day. In high school I felt trapped and it was a constant replay of things and the environment was chaotic, uncontrolled, and far from an effective learning enviroment. In college it’s a different feeling, it makes you see how important it is to pay attention and ask questions. I think college changed my perspective on learning because I found that education is important and is the key to success in the future. College made me realize that I wanted to get a jump start on my life and hopefully shoot for my goal of graduating high school with my associates degree and being one step ahead of everyone else. It made me want to be a better person and care about my future and supporting my family.
The next person who changed my worldview is my best friend Autumn.

We’ve been friends for about 4 years now and have had our ups and downs but also many memories. Autumn has social anxiety and also used to deal with depression and when we were friends and whenever we hung out in public places I was constantly worrying how she was feeling.Until we really became good friends she started to get comfortable and truly enjoy our time together. Autumn doesn’t get depressed or have anxiety often and it has changed me too, because I saw that one person can really impact someone's life by just being there for them and help them through things that they couldn’t get through alone. It also made me realize that I wanted a job where I could help people and make them feel welcome in this world. She helped me get an idea of what I wanted to do in the future and made me more aware of other

people.
Basketball has also shaped my worldview because it has taught me to how to actively listen, sportsmanship, and work hard. I’ve been playing since 6th grade and my coach at that time was really amazing she taught me how to be tough and work hard. She also always pushed me to do my best and made me realize that working hard truly pays off. She also showed me to be who I am and not care what others thought about me. High school basketball has shown me that life is tough and so many people are fighting for the same goal and the only way you succeed is by being the tougher one.
Our worldview is simply what we as an individual see as our life and what it has become throughout the years. Looking back on your life will make you see and get a better understanding of what your worldview is. You are not conscious of it until you really think about and see who or what has changed you into the person you are today. Your family, religion, culture, experiences, beliefs and education are what molds your worldview. My worldview is how I live and see the world and I hope to be able to look back on this and see how much it has changed later on.
