My Ideal Self
Who/what do you want to achieve/have, why?
In the shorter term (3 years), I want to graduate from HELP University’s Degree of Psychology in first-class honours. I understand many people claim that such academic achievement is just a graduation certificate, and does not guarantee any work opportunity. However, my aim does not stem from obtaining work opportunities or anything materialistic; I just want to appreciate and take every learning opportunity seriously, since I view this process as a foundation for my knowledge and abilities in the future. Besides, I have been anticipating this stage for a long time, in which I can have deeper and more professional knowledge in this field. To summarize, this is a goal elicited from my

This is the first semester of my first year and I am still trying to cope with the classes. Since I am unsure of the assessment standards, I feel a bit pressured. But soon, I will get to know as assignment submission and examinations have begun.
To achieve my academic goals, I have to maintain a good understanding of the syllabus and results in my studies by keeping up with the schedule as well as preventing procrastination. In addition, I have to view this learning process as the journey of equipping knowledge, unlike my view for the high school examinations, merely memorising and studying for 10As.
As for striving for my career goals, I have to improve my soft-skills which are often emphasized in today’s workplace besides pure academic performance. Hence, I will push myself to join different activities that increases my experience. In the next semester, I plan to work as a part-timer to gain experience and earn some living expenses. I did not start this semester because my parents are against me working. From their viewpoint, students should focus on studies. After studying hard for this semester, I hope to discuss with my parents of having a part-time job with prove that I can cope with the studies now after a semester. If they agree, I will also keep in mind to maintain my academic results, so that I will not let myself and my parents

I am a person of true values and beliefs with a determination to succeed. Traits and a person’s faith are what make him or her, a true human being. Faith is important to sprout the lively roots of hope and virtue. Hope is what I use to keep persevering through the rugged trials of life. I build my life on certain principles consisting of the elements of how to deal with real life situations. I am a virtuous type of person and I believe in three quotes which will help me succeed in life in the future.
An 11 years old kid lying on the ground in a dark room crying, shaking, and trembling with intense pain in both of his ears. The pain was similar to as if someone was hitting with some sharp object inside his ears and every time he would feel the shock of pain, he would pull both of his ears while enduring the pain. The pain would raise every couple of second and with each shock of pain, the kid would lose part of the hope that he had of surviving. He would experience so intense pain that he had never anticipated and all he could think of that “he is about to die.” This was the experience that I felt when I had a severe ear infection in both of my ears.
Since the summer of my senior year in high school, I was confused about the meaning of learning. What do I want to learn, and what could I do with my bachelor degree? So far, it has been two years. I still could not tell the answer to the first question, but, progressively, I know that I could do nothing with my bachelor degree and even with the higher degrees. On the other hand, the knowledge I learned so far is the thing I could rely. However, in some people’s points of view, this is unpractical. For such a long time, I have found few individuals sharing the similar ideas with me. Once, I saw a celebrity, who graduated from Tsinghua University, having a show online. He said that he was extremely disappointed when a college student, who also studies at Tsinghua University, ask him about whether he should take the examination of the public servant or not. From his point of view, as a part of Tsinghua University, one of the best universities in China, how could such a smart student is satisfied with basic needs, rather than cultivating himself. According to my experience, there are lots of people around me are pursuing material benefits. Self-cultivation, thus, is less important.

Nowadays, more students do part-time job during their school days to earn money or to have practical experience. In this essay, I am going to compare and contrast the different attitudes toward students doing part-time job in China and USA. In China, there are only a few types of part-time job, such as shopkeeper and working in factories. However, in USA, it is possible for students to work in various kinds of shop or even work as intern in companies. As a result, there are
I began to get fascinated by our capitalist world’s economy at a very early age of my life. Growing up, I was incredibly curious to unravel how systems function, and this curiosity developed into a burning desire to learn how processes and organizations operate and run our world. As I started my first job, I realized how much I needed to be better acquainted with the science of money making and the scientific approaches to money management. Later on in my life, being within a company system, I wanted to see the big picture by learning where such a company stands in the midst of all other business interactions locally and internationally. Being involved in the company’s practices I started analyzing the methods used by my managers, the causes and consequences of their managerial choices.
Personal learning styles are highly complex and unique to specific individuals. It is often difficult to pinpoint an exact learning style. Though there are different categories, we often fine tune them to our own abilities. By examining our traits and tendencies we create a clearer understanding of how we process and learn information. With careful review, I have developed a specific analysis of my learning characteristics, including an evaluation of skill levels. Based on what I have recently learned and know from experience, I have also devised a structured plan for improvement of time management and study skills.
This is my first semester in college. Being a new college student, I was very nervous about how college life went about and how I would manage school, work, and raising my child. Thankfully, this class is required for incoming students, or else I never would have thought to take it. Throughout this semester, I have learned more about myself, what I truly value, my personality type, my multiple intelligences, my learning style, and how these are all correlated to my long- term career goal.

Interpersonal relationships are those that we have with other people. Communication between others is essential to human survival.
