I have high goals in life, and they terrify me. My goals are really big and will be very difficult to accomplish. By 18, I want to have my driver's license, some scholarships, and i want to have the credits and GPA to graduate highschool with honors. i can accomplish all of that by keeping my grades up and always trying my best. I have to make sure i take school seriously and not joke my way through everything. By the time Im 25, i want to have started college and be doing very well in it. In order to do that, I have to keep my grades up and i have to make sure I stay on top of all my assignments. I can't procrastinate everything like i usually do. If i want to do really well in college, i have to earn it and i have to work for it. No grades
Life goals are something everyone wants to accomplish, but how will they do it? Well, I have a few life goals and a plan to make it happen. My life goals are so important to me I have already started to accomplish them. These goals will take time to accomplish, but I’m on the right track.
Goals give you something to measure yourself against and give you direction. Currently, my main goal is to graduate from East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree of science in engineering with a concentration in biomedical engineering. My anticipated time to graduation is five years with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Beyond getting my bachelor’s degree at East Carolina University, I would like to go to medical school and become a doctor focusing on prosthetics. In order to make my goals a reality, I will have to work diligently to remain on track throughout my schooling. Additional goals that I have set for myself are to complete homework assignments by the time they are due, reading assigned material before it is discussed in class, doing well in each of my courses this semester, successfully participating in extracurricular activities, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, getting a position as an engineer, and becoming a leader within both the engineering community and the general community. A world-class engineering student woul...
Throughout the years, I hardly believed in my capabilities in school and in achieving my ambitions. You see I am not one of those cool kids who blatantly don’t want to do anything, in fact, I was worse. When opportunities decides to knock on my doorstep, I simply decline hoping that luck doesn’t go my way. It is because I was afraid to change my status which I was already comfortable with my life. Now that I am more educated I’m seeing a different point of view, a different view of living, which is achieving great things in life and surpassing anything that may come my way. In my path towards a higher education I have passed obstacles such as injury, problems with self-esteem, and transportation.
My long-term goal is to be a professional skateboarder and make a living off of it . I honestly do see myself as a professional skateboarder because I do work so hard and also because i’m a very motivated person. The kind of work that I would be doing is showing up to lots of contest, demo's so that kids can experience or view what professional skateboarders
My my personal goals are to get a 27 on my ACT, have a above a 2.8 GPA, and get a basketball scholarship to ORU. I need to jump into college with alacrity.I plan on reaching these goals by working hard and really focusing in all of my classes every single day and making sure I make enough time in my week to study for all my tests I take. Even if I have antipathy for a class I still need to be inquisitive and ask questions.
Life has no meaning without goals. In order to succeed setting goal is very important. Without setting goals there would be nothing to look forward to, or even have anything to achieve. Goals are a vital aspect of our lives. It gives a sense of self-confidence. I believe without goals life would just be a plain and no excitement at all. Long-term and short-term goals are intertwined and work similarly to build a house from ground up. I vision myself become a radiologist within the next three to five years. This is my present long-term goal. To achieve my long term goal I have two short term goals, first to get good grades in prerequisites courses and second to complete my grad school program with "A" grade minimum, because graduating with good grades is the stepping stone for my long-term goal.
As the most of my peers, I have been asking myself a question, what is it really I want out of my life? This question has been bothering many people, and not only the college students who are trying to figure out the path which will lead them to the comfortable life. One might ask, what is that comfort that we all are striving for? Is it a state of mind or is it some unknown world that we are so eager to enter? Well, it varies from person to person, it depends on the life that the person has left behind when the decision to go to college was made. There are several aspects of our lives that could influence us and the future decisions that we'll make. The biggest part of our decision making is the way we were raised and the culture we have got used to. Many Americans believe that the success depends on the family background that you have. There are those who say that if the person was raised in a rich family, all opportunities are available to them and there is a high! chance that the person will live a comfortable life. The same people are saying that if the person was raised in a poor family there are too many obstacles to overcome and most of the time these barriers on the way are too hard to cross. On the other hand, there are those people who say that the America is the land of opportunities and any person could achieve his/her goals if they set their mind to it.
If I never make goals for myself or work hard and don't learn from my mistakes I won't leave the legacy I want to leave. One goal that I want to achieve is to get stright A’s. I want to achieve this, I will study, pay attention, and follow directions. For example I spend a lot of time at my dance studio and I want to get better this year. If I'm able to achieve these objectives I will be extremely proud of myself and also my teachers and my parents will be very glad for myself. If you keep a positive mind you will be able to achieve your goals. These goals will make me smarter and a harder worker after I'm done completing my
All your life growing up, you don 't have to make any big decisions. This all changes senior year when you have to make a decision about what you are going to do with your life after high school. What you choose to do can dictate how you spend your time and money. If you do not make a choice you will not be able to move on towards being a self supporting adult. Decisions are hard to make but essential to keep moving forward.
This academic goal is important to me because I have always had people tell me that I would not be able to do something and at one point I started to believe it, but I had seen a quote by Sugar Ray Robinson that read “To be a champ you have to believe in yourself when nobody else will.” By reading this quote and taking in what he was saying I realized I can not spend time trying to have others believe in me especially when it comes to academic goals. I realized that me graduating from college and getting a degree needs to be a goal I want to accomplish because I believe that I can and not a goal that I want to force others to believe I can especially when they do not believe in
Research a life goal Although I have many goals in life, these two stick out to me the most. They stick out in every decision I make and they help me make good decisions. What I want most in life is to become a pharmacist and to create a family with someone I love. I want the family most importantly because I was raised in a very tight Greek family.
I have always wanted to make good grades but I never really set any goals but, then I realized that setting academic goals are way more important than people realize . I then started to set goals like my sophomore year of high school after I did that it really helped me focus on my future and what I wanted for myself. My goals I think pushed me so much more academically they opened my eyes a little bit more. One Goal I set was to graduate High school with a Core 40 diploma, which I did, so that is one goal down and a bunch more to go. My senior year I started applying to college but my main goal was to make into Saint Mary-of-the Woods and when I received my acceptance letter I was ecstatic. So far, I am still trying to figure out my academic goals for college but, I do know for sure that I want to succeed in every single way that I can so I can make a better future for myself. A goal that I made this year is to make the dean’s list every single time, for this I will study so hard for every test, do all of my homework, and ask questions when I have them and maybe even getting a tutor. This challenge will probably be really tough but I believe that I can do it if I put my mind to it, and I tend to be a very determined
What purpose do hopes and plans serve? Why do people define them? These are questions I have asked myself many times, and the writing of this essay has helped me answer them. Hopes and plans allow me to realize and put into words the direction I wish my life to go. This makes putting goals in place and taking steps to reach these goals much simpler. Many of these goals I share with most people, such as my goal to graduate high with a 3.75 GPA or higher. Other goals are somewhat less common, such as my goals to graduate debt-free or to pursue a Computer Science career.
Someone once asked me what I believed in, what I wanted to get out of life and where I saw myself a couple of years from now…I was speechless, just standing there with a blank look upon my face, guess I looked like a deer in the headlights. At first I was outraged for not knowing what to say, and then I became concerned. Looking back I can say that I was afraid, afraid of wanting anything. I figured wanting would lead to trying and trying would lead to failure, and failure is not an option. A friend once told me I was much better than I thought I was, and he would help me do more in a positive sense, he was the one that helped me realize failure was something I shouldn’t be afraid of.
My goals in life are ultimately to achieve success in life. My goals are to also have happiness, prosperity in every area in my life, and the freedom and peace within to be able to carry out my goals. My goals are also heavily influenced on the hardships my parents have had to endure such as facing ridicule for the simple fact of being immigrants, the extremely difficult time they endured due to unemployment and living in poverty, and the low degree of education they received from their countries. My goals are so important to me because I view it as way out of barely getting by, out of a harder life. My goals consist of me being the first person on my mother 's side to ever graduate from middle and high school. My goals also consist of making my parents proud of their daughter, a daughter that will give them a more comfortable life, one that is not filled with such pain. After seeing my mother suffer from a liver infection which caused her to become sick to the point of hospitalization, I promised myself that day I never wanted anyone to feel as sick as my mother did. No one deserves to go through that much suffering. My dream and passion is to study Biology at the GREAT Bethune- Cookman University and to be a doctor who will not only help my community here in America but also for my families in
