My Grandfather: Moving To The United States

My grandfather was a doctor in Pakistan and I have grown up with the notion that I would someday follow in his footsteps in to the medical field. It has always been one of my dreams to go in to the medical field.
My mother is the biggest inspiration and driving force that motivates me to keep moving toward my dream and that has influenced my career decision. My family and I moved to United States in August 2005. Within six months, my mother started working at a job that paid no more than $5.25 an hour. At the time, we lived with a few of our relatives because there wasn't enough money in the paycheck to live on our own. However a year later, my mother started a second job, and now we were able to get a small apartment of our own. My mother

worked from 5am to 1pm at the first job and 3pm to 9pm at the second job. She worked on less than seven hours of each day and by the time she came home, her feet and back would be in severe pain. No matter what the job brought my mother worked as hard as possible to provide for our family.
I want to go to college so I can fulfill my dream and provide for her. All of her hardships motivate me to do better in life and work harder so I can take the stress and burden off her shoulder.
