Lead, challenge, make a difference. This year I would like to accomplish these goals. I possess a multitude of valuable qualities. I stand confident. I am approachable. I target what needs to be done. I reflect commitment. Most importantly, I want to help people. Also, I aspire to make our school a better place, even better than it already is! I have inspiring ideas to enhance the activity or project we are working on. I remain motivated and have positive intentions. I would like to be on Student Council, solely on the fact that I want to enhance Eureka High School to form an even more fun High School experience. I want to represent my classmates and give a voice to those who are unheard. There is always room for improvement in my life,
I would be an excellent choice to be a member of the National Junior Honor Society because I show service, leadership, character, and citizenship. It is an amazing opportunity anyone is lucky to have, and I am more than happy to accept it. I love helping people, being able to feel accomplished knowing I put a smile on someone’s face. Being in the National Junior Honor Society, I’d love to share my ideas and thoughts on how to make the world a better place.
I am involved in several clubs, such as Spanish club and HOSA, although I do not hold office in any of them, I try to serve as a leader and to use my intelligence to help the school. As a leader I am capable of using my potential to aid in inspiring others. I hope to prove myself to be a good example and guide for those who need help. As a new inclusion to NHS, I am committed to help my fellow students study and to do their best. I possess a variety of study and organization skills that I can pass on to other students. I am a open-minded and patient person, making it easy for me to take criticism willingly and accept recommendations thoughtfully. I can work well either individually or on a team and can Inspire positive attitudes and behaviors in others. I promise to utilize my leadership skills and work with other NHS members to achieve success for the school. With my characteristics, I will inspire new concepts and further develop the character of NHS. I plan to volunteer in events as much as possible, and can fill in for other people who can’t be in attendance. Everyone has character, yet it is the way that you mold character that is important. I am open to feedback and will accept any recommendations that are offered. I am always willing to grow as a person and view others’ insights as doors to that growth. I am honest and open, and proudly represent Windham High School as well as the greater community of Windham. I am dedicated to whatever I undertake; whether it be that I am volunteering as an SSP or petsitting animals for a week. Being a leader is inseparable with a good character. I try to lead by example, be it picking up a piece of garbage in the halls or by just refusing to say a discriminatory word.
Throughout everyday tasks in the classroom, or outside of school, I step up and lead those who need to be led. I constantly find new opportunities to lead others and help the situation any way I can. Every summer the band has a marching band camp for a week straight that we must all attend. Being an experienced band member, I step up and assist all underclassmen and show then where to go and what they need to be doing. Instead of getting frustrated when giving the freshman directions, I am calm and collect and walk them step by step until they understand, something most leaders would not have time or patience for. With many plans to help others and lead within my community, I believe that I have what it takes to be a strong, and powerful leader for the National Honor Society.
I can help make creative outlets to benefit the yearbook. I focus on work that contributes to my academic life. I am good at ignoring distractions. I can handle tough class work/ homework assignments. I can work well with other student even when I don't have the strongest positive relationship with them.
The best leadership accomplishment that demonstrates my potential to make significant contributions to the campus community and broader society is cheerleading. Cheerleading has made a huge impact on my life and has created many opportunities for me. It has paved the way for my high school career. Cheerleading provided me with opportunities to lead, volunteer, perform and show the athletic ability of our squad.
In conclusion, I believe that I can offer a wealth of expertise and experience in contributing towards the continued development of a cohesive, dynamic and collaborative school that focuses on offering outstanding world class learning opportunities for all. I consider myself to be a good role model to students and staff alike and I am committed to leading by example. This, combined with my drive, infectious optimism and commitment to playing a full role within the school beyond those duties set out, make me a strong candidate for the post.

My mission statement for 8th grade is to pass and succeed with a 3.75 to a 4.00 GPA. I have my family that can give me love and inspiration. My family has taught me so many things to become a hard worker at school.
A goal of mine is to get accepted in to National Honors Society. I will reach this goal by getting all my work done and studying a lot. Something the board of NHS looks at when you apply is if you have a number of volunteer hours. I hope to get at least 70 before my junior year. In order to get 70, I will use my free time to help teachers or students get jobs done. Another goal would be valedictorian. If I can work hard on every assignment and study for every test to reach at least a 4.0 GPA, I know I will be one of the valedictorians. One last goal would be receiving at least 3 varsity letters from the sports I play. I can get 3 by being a leader on these
It is my belief that anyone with a desire to change the world would be fortunate to work in education. By sharing my vision with others, and building upon my skills while seeking constant growth, I strive to take an approach to leadership that fosters an effective, nurturing educational environment for the entire school community. By creating this type of environment, as well as through embracing and enhancing my leadership strengths, it is my goal to contribute to society by inspiring people to become better not only as teachers and students, but as compassionate human beings.
In high school, my goal was to get into a great college. Now that I am here, my perspective has completely changed. I now realize that there is so much more to being successful than getting good grades and having a good resume. It’s not just about being stellar on paper, but actually learning the material that is being taught in the classroom and taking full advantage of the resources and opportunities at USC. It’s not about listing as many leadership roles as possible on my resume, but being able to understand how these leadership roles affected me and what I have learned from my experiences as a leader.
Besides academics, fine arts and sports in school, I have attained leading roles in different groups. In my time at the high school, I think that I would benefit from being a part of student council for the following reasons. First, I believe that being a part of student council is a great way for me to get involved with something great. I think that it will improve my leadership skills, and provide me with many tools to help me be successful. Secondly, student council seems like an enjoyable experience that will help me get to know others with as similar mindset. Whether it be working with others to accomplish a task, or just simply getting to know the person across from me, I thinks its a great way for me to get to know other like minded individuals.
