ary 10, 2018 I stood there, trying not to tremble. I anxiously counted the people in front of me and realized that after this next cart it would be my turn. The people ahead loaded up, the ride workers checked the lap bars, and then off they went, heading up the hill. Everyone in line, including myself, moved up to fill up the void left by the people who had just loaded on. I must have been shaking a bit because my sister who was behind me tried to calm me down. “It’s not that scary,” she assured, “it’s going to be a lot of fun.” Then, the next set of carts rolled in on the tracks, and my stomach felt like it was going to flip as the tiny gate in front of me opened. I’ve never been much of a roller coaster person. When I was around 7 years
It was the summer of 2012 and my family was taking another trip to Six Flags Great America. Earlier that summer we went just for me to be disappointed. At the time I wasn’t 54 inches yet and couldn’t ride any of the rides that I wanted to because they were the most popular at the amusement park. But, I hit a growth spurt between trips and we planned to ride all of the big rollercoasters. The one that I was most terrified of at the time was Raging Bull, one of the tallest, fastest, and longest steel coasters in the US. As we started to wait in line for the ride I was shaking with both anticipation and fear and began to rethink my idea to ride the rollercoaster. I decided to stay in line and see what many people thought was a great coaster.
My beliefs are important to me. I wake up every morning with a cup of coffee in my hand and turn on the daily news. I see many problems occurring around the world, but most of us are too blind to actually do something to help. We are too blinded by our society's cultural that we can’t separate ourselves from the good and bad.
What most people expect to hear is me looking forward to riding the roller coasters. I hope that’s not what you thought because I hate them, maybe not hate, but really I’m just not a big fan of high altitudes in general. Consequently, this is why I was always reluctant to going with my family on this trip. Nevertheless I always went. Now that you know I’m not a fan of heights you could guess what attractions I was accustomed to riding, let’s just say my height requirement was more than enough to be eligible to ride. This specific year I decided to bring a friend to accompany me and in hindsight that was a bad idea because he was a roller coaster
Happiness is fake, like something forced upon me; something not real, fabricated and I don’t like it. I’m supposed to like it though. I’m supposed to like everything the government forces on me. I feel like I’m the only person who doesn’t feel content with my life, everyone else seems to be perfect while I’m falling apart at the seams.
could feel others pausing to watch the commotion as their eyes filled with excitement. Then the bags
Have you ever been on a roller coaster and wondered how the roller coaster was made or the history of it? Have you ever been on a roller coaster.? Well I have. Roller coasters are fun and scary at the same time. It’s like your heart drops to your feet and your chest comes up to your throat. That feeling is awesome.! Have you ever ridden the furry 365 at carowinds? That is an insane roller coaster. I bet you haven’t ridden the tennessee tornado.? I rode it with my dad it was fun and scary at the same time. On the roller coaster you go from loop to loop. There are at least three loops in the whole track all spread out. But it is fun anyway, in fact it is so fun that you will want to ride it over and over again. I hope you get to ride the fire express. It is in tennessee. My dad,my brother, and I all rode the fire express together and had A good time.
Before we even got to ride one ride everybody was hungry. So my mom bought us some pizza and sodas. The pizza was really good, it had hamburger meat and mushrooms; which is my favorite food to eat. As we were eating our food, we glanced at some of the rollercoasters, planning out which ones we were going to ride. In my opinion it was like a play land for teenagers.
That’s how I felt like. One 90 degree day I went to Six Flags in San Antonio, Texas. The first ride that I and my dad went on was the boomerang! That was my very first time riding a rollercoaster. We got in the line which look like
After eating our sack lunches, our group of five decided to enter the park. I can hear the roller coaster tracks and machinery almost sounding like a train, watching the faces of the people. After...
There is a point in everyone’s life when they step back and realize “I can’t do this anymore, it’s ruining my life”. Many of my friends have started smoking cigarettes while drinking at a very young age, and continue to use this drug currently and don’t realize the affect it has on their future. While I have been smart enough to avoid smoking, I haven’t been as wise at making decisions when it comes to drinking. The amount of partying I’ve done in college has taken over my life, and has had a huge impact on my grades. Changing my drinking habits and continuing to avoid cigarettes will enable me to be the best I can be for the rest of my college experience.
Waiting in line to your favorite roller coaster is one of the most nerve wrecking and electrifying things about being at the park. Waiting in line is one of the times where you can read numerous people exact emotions. You can see people shaking and trembling in their pants as they await their turn. Kids are jumping with joy and excitement to get on the thrilling coaster. While their mother, on the other hand is trying to calm them down because inside, her heart is beating faster
The choice I have made that affected my life was when I decided to care about school and my grades. I used to not care about my grades or school and do what I want at school. I didn’t care about the class or the teachers. My life was a mess and unorganized. When I got my report card my parents used to be real upset and angry with me. I used to get F’s and D’s and wouldn’t care. When I got to High school I had to make a choice to change and have a better future and to try hard or to not care and to do what I want and make things easy . I made a choice to change and try hard and work hard. When I did change everything about me changed. The choice I made affected my life completely. I do all my work that the teacher gave us even when It was hard
The first time that I experience difference was when I was in elementary school. I was eight years old and I was the only African American student in the entire school. The mass amounts of students were Caucasian. I always noticed the difference between me and my other classmates skin pigmentation, but I never really cared. Until my class went outside for recess one day and the game that we voted to play was kickball. Well my best friend was captain for one of the teams so I knew I was going to be picked first, but that didn’t happened. In fact I wasn’t picked at all, of course after the game I went to ask him why didn’t he pick me? He said it was because his dad said he couldn’t be friends with a nigger no more. I asked him what was that and he said me.
I never really thought about where my life was going. I always believed life took me where I wanted to go, I never thought that I was the one who took myself were I wanted to go. Once I entered high school I changed the way I thought. This is why I chose to go to college. I believe that college will give me the keys to unlock the doors of life. This way I can choose for myself where I go instead of someone choosing for me.
