What if you had to answer the question, who is your biggest role model? Would you know the answer on the top of your head, or would you have to think about it? Everyone has their version of their perfect role model. The answer to these questions could be their best friend, family, or even someone as simple as a celebrity. For many people, it can be hard to decide who has had the biggest impact and their life and for what reasons. However, for me deciding my biggest role model is perfectly simple. My biggest role model is my father for many reasons, but the most primary reasons being his constant support, positive outlook on life, and his endless amount determination. I cannot think of anyone as confident as my dad. No matter how bad a situation may be, he always knows how to brighten my day. No matter how he has to do it; whether it is a joke, a positive thought, a good memory, or even looking back at a situation that I have overcome, he always has proven to make me smile. When I was fifteen years old, my father had a heart attack, went into cardiac arrest, and was on life support for a week. It was one of the longest weeks of my life and very emotional. I had overcome some of the worst emotions; such as anger, sadness, anxiety, and even depression. Although it was tough, I knew my father would want me to stay active and keep the rest of my family positive. When he finally got off of life support the first thing he said was, “I will get stronger, get out of this hospital, and move on as if nothing has happened.” His positivity helps me every day when I am struggling with an issue or desperate situation. I will always remember this emotional, but significant memory. Since my father likes to remain active, he never associates himself with adverse situations or environments that cannot be turned positive. Along with his positive outlook, my dad has “a never quit

My father is my biggest role model and always will be. He has taught me everything I know.
He was always smiling, never missed work when he could work, and never complained during his whole time in the hospital. My dad's attitude is what got him to remission. That taught me that anything is possible with the right attitude. I think my dad can relate a lot to Stuart Scott and his above quote because from watching interviews with Scott, he always had a smile on his face. Although Scott didn’t beat cancer, his attitude was just like my dad’s and that’s why I chose to use one of Scott’s quotes to relate to my dad and his
Role models can make a huge difference in a child's life. My Physical Education teacher had a major impact of effecting of what I want to be now. Aleta Jo Crotty helped me to learn to take responsibility for my actions, and in my choices I am in control. By using guidelines that was set by her for my life, I hope to reach just one child.
Gender has affected my life in many ways, but most of all I would say that from a young age I was given the impression that part of a woman’s value came from her ability to attract the opposite sex, and due to this mindset for a long time I felt as though I was ugly and difficult to love. There are so many expectations placed upon women based solely on the fact that they are female. Women are meant to be gentle, quiet, and respectful at all times but most of all they are expected to be pretty. Being physically appealing means different things depending on where you live, however, In western society it appears to mean being a tall, skinny, preferably blonde, Caucasian female and if you happen to match this criteria you’ve essentially hit the
My father was always there for me, whether I wanted him to be or not. Most of the time, as an adolescent trying to claim my independence, I saw this as a problem. Looking back I now realize it was a problem every child needs, having a loving father. As hard as I tried to fight it, my dad instilled in me the good values and work ethic to be an honest and responsible member of society. He taught me how to be a good husband. He taught me how to be a good father. He taught me how to be a man. It has been 18 years since my father’s death, and I am still learning from the memories I have of him.
When someone thinks about the definition of a father, he or she thinks about the support, care, love, and knowledge a father gives to his offspring. Most people automatically believe that biological fathers, along with the mothers, raise their children. However, that is not always the case. There are many children across the world who are raised without their father. These children lack a father figure. People do not realize how detrimental the lack of a father figure can be to the child, both mentally and emotionally. Enrolling boys between the ages of 5 to 16 without father figures in programs, such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, that involve building a relationship with someone who can serve as a role model is essential to prevent males from depression, difficulty in expressing emotions, and other consequences of having an absent father figure.
I always emulated her: from choices in men (she favored creative types: photographers, filmmakers and writers for her; writers and musicians for me), personal style (though my Afro was never a big as hers), taste in music, career choices.
Role models have an astounding effect on the lives of young people in our society. A role model has the ability to shape the views, ideals, and actions of a young person. Role models help youth discover how they wish to become in the future. The influence that role models have on young people is tremendous. It is important for role models to be positive and responsible in instilling good morals and values because future generations are directly dependent on the role models of today.
One person that I care for very deeply is my dad. He is The reasons he means so much to me is because he helps me whenever I need help, plays sports with me, and he is just like one of my friends.
There are times when you don’t know what to do or times when you might feel like you have no help in this world, but there is always that one person who never fails to give you the best advice in life, and that is your father. I have so much respect for any father out there that works hard, and always supports his family no matter what his imperfections might be. My father has got to be the best one in my opinion. He has been the biggest inspiration in my life because he taught me so much stuff in this life that I can’t find a way to pay him. He has been a very humble person and has never seen himself better than anyone else because he believes he is equal to any other father. In my opinion he is the best even though he says he isn’t. My father had imperfections just like any other human being in this world, yet he still taught me how to be a great person in this world by teaching me good morals. “Never Give Up, and believe in God and you will accomplish what you want in life” are words my father always tells me to remember.
My grandma is my role model because she has accomplished so much and been through so much in her life. She is a very beautiful person, but very stubborn in what she believes and wants. Its almost impossible to get her to change her mind. She is always telling me how proud she is of me and has pretty high expectations of me. My mom is also a role model for me because she had a rough childhood and after she started a family she went back to college she is still attending college now, she gives me motivation to never give up and reminds my of how good my life is
Many of us have role models in our lives and to most people role models are athletes and movie stars, but to me a role model is much more. To me a role model is a person who has positively influenced someone in life, and is not a person filled with selfishness and greed. They help shape someone’s personality, and characteristics. They are people who someone can look up to for advice in a hard situation, and know that they will give those words of wisdom. They will never judge our past actions, instead only look to help because they really care. A role model is someone who we should never feel awkward talking to about our problems. A perfect role model for me is my mother. She is a wonderful human being. She’s smart, wise, ambitious, patient and such a loving person. There are no words that can describe my gratitude towards her, but through this essay I will describe some of her characteristics that makes her my role model.
I think the most influential people in my life are my parents. They are always there when I need them and sometimes when I think that I don't. They have taught me the value of honesty. I feel that they are the soul reason why I turned out the way I did. I don't drink or do drugs because they have taught me they are wrong and unhealthy. I was taught to respect my self as well as others.
My hero is my dad. He is my superman. He is my leader. My dad is a dad who motivates me and keeps me going, even when I want to give up. He is there for me when I don’t want to try anymore and he always keeps me going. Of all the heroes in the world, my dad is at the top of the list.
