The most influential person in my life is my father because of how he has taught me everything I know and has shaped me into the person I am today. My father is from the Dominican Republic and has 5 sisters and 4 brothers, so with such a large family, it is hard to earn enough money to buy food for everyone and is even hard to earn enough money to buy any food at all. He grew up in a very poor family and hardly ever had any food to eat, but he always worked hard to try and find any food to bring for his family. After that, he worked at a lab for a couple of years, met my mother, got married and had two children. He has used every hard aspect of his life to teach me how to be a better person and to work hard. He grew up in a poor family, so he taught me to value everything I have and to never take what I have for granted because there are people in the world that don’t have any food on the table and have much less than I do. In high school, he was a good student, so he taught me to always do my best in school and to never take my education for granted because there are people in the world that aren’t able to go to school.
