In summer July 19, 2015 my whole family visited three beaches. We planned to go to only one beach in Florida. Since our family has not traveled this unfamiliar place we got lost. After that a beach appeared right around the corner behind the trees. Although it was not the beach we expected, it was surrounded with old buildings. On the beach it had sand dunes which had a sign that said, “No people around or in this area of the beach.” Sharp shells ruled this beach and the hot sand burns when you make it through. Hoping to reach the cool water, but think twice because this water is salty and burns your mouth and eyes. It takes about an hour to get the taste out with or without drinks or food. After that we packed up and headed somewhere to eat.
The second beach was vast than the last beach. It had no shells to step on,the sand was cool, and the water was less saltier. Only one problem with the beach, it had too many people. It was hard to find a parking spot anywhere. They were everywhere on the sand. The only parts where people do not lay down is where the lifeguard vehicle passes by. There were lifeguard towers all the way down to the end of the beach. After I saw this I know that this was a busy beach. We left after a few minutes to eat.

You could sleep on it ,but they have a hotel next to the beach so you can enjoy the view. The hotels around were too expensive to stay on night. Luckily there was a motel that we could stay for one night. Once we got in it was small but just enough room for the whole family. It had a television,a small refrigerator, and two beds. After everything was inside I turned on the tv and saw that a storm was coming. I peeked outside and saw really dark clouds and this motel was not far from the beach so I started to worry. I got inside and told the whole family so we could be
The whole island is in the shape of a giant square with white sandy beaches full of people sunbathing, swimming and fishing right on the shoreline. From the end of the hot pavement parking lot to shore of the beach is an ocean of soft white sand. The pearlescent white sand seems to know how to invade every nook and cranny almost as if it enjoys it. Walking around the beach on the fluffy whiteness surrounding the parking lot, the seagulls are fighting over scraps of food on the ground. “Sandy beach ecosystems provide invaluable services to humankind. Their functions have been exploited through history, with significant anthropogenic effects (Lucrezi, 2015)”. This white sandy beach is a beautiful refuge from the mundane grind of everyday life. The smell of the misty ocean air mixed with the sound of seagulls hovering above and kids playing is a tonic for the mind. The feel of the sand between their toes and the waves crashing over them as people swim in the water, or the jerk of a fishing pole when someone is catching a fish makes Fred Howard Park one of the best places to relax. Standing on the beach looking out on the water, people are kayaking and windsurfing. The lifeguards watching vigilantly in their bright red shirt and shorts, blowing their whistles when they see someone being unsafe. After a long day of swimming and laying around visitors head back over the soft white sand to the showers, in order to rinse off the menacing sand that clings to everything like a bad habit. Everyone rushes over the hot pavement burning their feet to reach their cars so they can put away their beach paraphernalia which is still covered in the white sand, nearly impossible to completely leave behind, so when they get home it serves as a reminder of where they were that
I have been to Florida a billion times, but there are only two places that I normally visit. Sanibel Island and Destin. Traveling to Sanibel Island is almost like a tradition for my family because every year we try to go down there. My grandparents first went to Sanibel with my whole family (cousins and all) about 15 years ago and ever since then, it has been our family’s main “vacation spot”. I have gone to Sanibel almost every year, but last year I also went to Destin. Now the main reason we decided to go there as well is because we wanted to travel somewhere nearby the panhandle of Florida. The water and beaches are also very contrasting in comparison to Sanibel. Sanibel’s beaches even had heaps of sea shells going out into the water. The sand is also more dense than that of Destin. Even Sanibel’s water is darker and more cloudy, so it was crazy to see Destin’s water so clear! The beach (which is called Emerald Cove, where I stayed at) had sand that was so white and soft it
For spring break of 2011, my family decided to go to California on vacation. Matthew served his mission there, and he wanted to show us Southern California. Of course, since the closest we had ever been to a beach was Jefferson Lake in Rigby, the first thing we set out to do upon landing in Los Angeles was locate a beach on the ocean. We parked our rental van at Manhattan Beach and ran to the clear water.
We eventually make it to the beach and it was beautiful out! The first step onto the sand burns our feet and we all race to the water. The wind floats through our hair and the water splashes on our feet. Everybody sets up their chairs and plops down to just relax and look at the stunning ocean, when it starts raining cats and dogs.
If you want a relax day, the best place is to stay near the sea at Blackpool beach to enjoy seeing the quiet waves of the sea. You will also have the best place in Blackpool Beach to play with the ball near the sea. Nothing is better than to stay near the sea, enjoy the sounds of the water, and see the ships in the middle of the sea.
Have you been to the sunshine state? I have. Amusement parks, sandy beaches, shops, and more make Florida an awesome trip destination that everyone can enjoy. It all started with the sound of my alarm at 3:00 am, I thought it was too early, but later on I found out it was well worth it. My mom soon threw my bedroom door open, “We need to leave in 15 minutes for the airport” I quickly got ready in what little time I could, grabbed my suitcase and hopped in my dad's car.
As I walk towards the ocean with the sand warm beneath my feet, the waves lap at my ankles, seeming as if they want to pull me out to sea. The sun rises over the horizon, reflecting off the waves and shimmering like gold. The salt air smells tangy as it stings my nose with the smell I crave while I am away from the ocean. The Outer Banks in North Carolina has been my favorite place to go from my first memories. I look forward to going there every summer because there at the ocean I feel at home. It is a place where I can forget every stress in my life and be totally at peace. It is a place where my family can spend time together, not like at home where we all have activities and places to be. The Outer Banks is not a beach where the ocean is forgotten; there is no partying and no boardwalks, nothing but nature to fill your days there. The beach is not crowded to the point where it is hard to even walk to the beach ,and looking for shells is not even an option. This beach is a very peaceful and surreal place. The noises of people do not overwhelm you at this beach; all you can hear are the sea gulls and the waves.

Endless shores, breathtaking waves along a strip of skyscrapers, a rainforest that is not too far from the amazing coastline and practically everything a tourist could ever wish for in a city that rarely misses the sun.
Everyone who has ever been to Disney World thinks it’s going to be the vacation of a lifetime but when we went it was the vacation from Hell!

4 Fabulous Getaways Inspired by Novels When your internal compass begins reeling and life leaves you feeling a bit off course, toss a weekend’s worth of seaside swag, a beach worthy novel or two and a few essential toiletries into a canvas duffel and set sail for the shore. With thousands of tranquil cottages awaiting your arrival, follow the imaginations of novelists and filmmakers to alluring U.S. coastal getaways. For a truly vintage escape, plan a weekend getaway to California’s Crystal Cove State Park Historic District, the location selected for the final beach scene in the 1988 film adaptation of Iris Rainer Dart’s Beaches novel. The meticulously restored 1930s to ‘40s era bungalows offer both seaside and bluff ocean views with private and dorm-style cottages. Twenty-four of forty-six structures in this historic, seaside colony are completely renovated and available for year-round rental.
Ever since Sunset Beach has been officially opened to the public, there has been a drastic increase of tourists present. Television programs concluded that at least a thousand people visit the beach everyday. Reasons for their stay are that they feel comfortable with the environment that surrounds the beach front, people who are at the beach are joyous and numerous activities to enjoy, and the fresh scent of the sparkly waters, make the visitors feel calm and pleasurable. So I decided to take a trip there.
After the smooth boat ride, we finally got to see the beach for all its beauty. The sun was perfect and as expected, it was practically quiet. For the entire stretch of beach, there were only a few people swimming .
My most memorable family vacation took place two years ago. We went to Corsica, a French island situated in the south of France right next to Italy. I remembered waking up early excited to visit this new land. Used to take long flights, I was surprised to arrive to the destination after a one-hour flight. Even though the flight was short for me, it was stressful for my mom, she has never felt secured in a plane, probably due to the fact that she is afraid of height. When finally arrived at the destination, the dry and warm weather was there to welcome us. We all felt relief, and knew that this was the beginning of the summer. Excited, we had a lot of activities planned for the few weeks, me and my father could not wait to dive in the clear
Have you ever visited a place so beautiful and serene that you couldn’t imagine a more stunning place? For me, it is the shimmering and flowing waters of the ocean. The way that the deep blue waters meet the gritty beige sand leaves me in such awe. The water is like a soft blanket, comforting and inviting. The unique wildlife and vegetation that exists on the beach is something I’ve never seen anywhere else. There is no place more beautiful and thrilling than the beach.
