The Trail We Blaze: My Expectation’s for the Future A Little Bit About Me: “I always felt I had a chameleon soul-- no compass pointing due north, no fixed personality, just an inner indecisiveness that was as wide and as wavering as the ocean” (2). In a sense I believed it was true. I never really knew what I wanted to do with my life, but that didn’t stop me from being excited for what was to come. When I imagined my life in the future, I dreamt about the intriguing adventures, unforgettable memories and life-long friendships I would experience. While I understood that life would sometimes be challenging and hard, I was more enthusiastic about its positive moments. Although still uncertain about many things in life, I have come to realize …show more content…

Your accomplishments throughout college will unlock multiple opportunities. Let’s begin with the fact that having a job would look great on your resume if it pertained to your future career somewhat connects to your major. Over the summer, I got a job as a camp counselor, which gave me an understanding as to what it is like to work with children. I currently have two jobs on campus that pertain to maintaining a healthy lifestyle and being active. I think working at the gym and the outdoor experience center provides me with a great opportunity of building my resume for a future career in PA. ´´ If one advances confident in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life he imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours. ’’ These words were spoken by Henry David Thoreau.Success is within the mind of the individual. A large portion of one´s life is spent working to become successful. People are told throughout childhood to work hard so they can grow up and achieve all of their dreams. You can have both personal and professional success. Your goals help determine what type of success you have. People sometimes only have one or the other because if you are only looking for money, you will probably only have professional success and not personal. If you are looking to have people look up to you and actually appreciate you then you have personal success. It's not hard to have both but during work people tend to forget what they work for and I want to have both. I want people to want to be like me and I want them to admire me at the same time.
Success means to live a life in alignment with what brings us real joy. In my case, “success-joy” comes in many guises. At times, in being persistent with my current dreams, others, investing time and energy in what makes my life shine, and that is, without a doubt, when my life is at service of humanity and when I cultivate happy and healthy close relationships. I tend to define success as a state of being, a constant process of unfolding rather than a place to arrive. It is the journey of getting to know ourselves, in order to fully occupy every aspect of what we are; a forever changing aspiration, a state of being in which we realize that life’s greatest rewards spring from our capacity to relate to adversity in innovative ways. I have also discovered that real success shows up again when we debunk and deconstruct every single stereotype and assumption we have about ourselves. In this way, we feel capable to challenge what is commonly accepted as wisdom and then we have the opportunity to change and integrate our values with greater ones. There is an enormous joy when we feel free to play with the possible new scenarios that our imagination and creativity compelled us to try. A successful state of being is alert and grounded within us with the certainty, that the choices we embark on are in resonance with what we consider is the truth of what we are in that precise
Within my fifteen and a half years of living, I have experienced many heart wrenching moments that have changed who I am, so many that I stopped trying to keep count long ago. My ideal future would be being able to travel to places where I’ve been as well as to places where I haven’t been. I’d imagine myself being happy because I’d have everything I’ve ever wanted. Getting married, buying a house- even if it were a small house with only a few bedrooms in a quiet neighbourhood. After buying a house(,) I’d have a child so that I could spoil them the way my parents spoiled me. On my spare time that I would have I would start a an animal shelter one in a foreign country I would help stray animals have a home, people who can not afford to have pets could come play with dogs and cats as well as adopt them. I’d also keep myself entertained by being activite and having my own gymnastics gym.
