As you were little, have you ever wondered or dreamed about how your house will be when you grow up? When I was twelve years old, I dreamt of building my own house. My ideal home would be living in a big house with a quiet and nice neighborhood. My house will contain an enormous living room and a small dining room, 7 bedrooms with all walk-in closets and a shower in each of the bedrooms, with the kitchen nearby and a gigantic backyard.
When building a house, it is always important to know your location. I always wanted my family to live in a quiet neighborhood. It is much safer, peaceful, and nice. My house will be painted in white, next to my front door will be my two car garage; both my front door and garage will lead me to my living room. When walking in from the garage, there will be my laundry room containing 2 washing mashing and a dryer machine. On the wall you will see a small plasma T.V. Once you walk out of the laundry room you will find my open kitchen, which would be fairly big with a perfect square. In the middle of the kitchen you will find a marble island countertop with two deep sinks; on the other side of the counter top will be two high stool where you can sit; The stove will be built by the wall and on top of the stove you will find a built in microwave/ vent above, also on the wall is going to be a very large kitchen window facing the outside, next to my kitchen will be my dining close to the dining room close to the dining room you will find a door which will lead you to the backyard. I will have two living room, one of them will be a private living room where I receive important guests. Such as my boss my co-workers anything that will be work related and the other living room will be for my family to get to...

As well have my barbeque place, next to it, will be my palm trees. My backyard will be a really important part of my home because without everything included it will be far from a pleasant and fun home. Although I want to live in a quiet neighborhood I would also want my family to have a fun and loving household.
My living rooms, bedrooms and backyard will be an idea of how my dream house will be. I know my dream house will come true with my hard work. I will have a lovable family with my three kids and my husband. My husband and I will make sure our children always have what they need, also be positive role models to them so that they can make it in life, this is how I want my dream house to be.
Upon renovating the quaint little house on the hill with my mom, my own feelings toward the house changed dramatically. Before the project took off, I hesitated to step foot inside the building. The odor and dim lighting made it difficult to envision a successful result, but once we finished I was tempted to move in myself. This is the goal. Taking on this second project, I’d do my best to make the house one I’d love to live in while not allowing myself to implement my personal style preferences. The result is a home both move-in ready and open for visitors.
At the novel's end, Esperanza declares that she is too strong for Mango Street to keep her forever. What is the nature of her strength? How does Cisneros establish this characteristic elsewhere in the book?
In The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros, there is an emphasizes on how rough it is to be part of the low economic class . Through her words you can create an image about the way poverty affects children. She goes through the book making great remarks on the topic. The different experiences that Esperanza goes through have a lot to connect with her family's financial status. She specifically describes her feelings about the poverty they live in through three of her short stories. The three short stories in which poverty seems to be an obstacle are The House on Mango Street, Our Good Day, and Chanclas. When the book begins the downgrading of Esperanza's esteem begins with it.
Imagine your first home. The place where you lived right after you were born. Where you took
My dwelling is not much, but it suits my needs, and out there I don’t need much. All I have is a chair to read in, a toilet under the tree outside, and a bed. I only have the necessities that I need to live. I build a fire every night for warmth and to cook my food. My house is just a cabin that can only fit me and my dog skip just the way that I want it. Flowers that make it look pretty and interesting surround my cabin. It’s something that’s cozy and something that I can just go to and think and be by myself and never have to worry about anybody or anything but my pets and myself.
A house is simply a structure where one lives, sleeps and eats. A home is a structure accumulated with love, memories, and lessons learned. “Homes have stopped being homes. Now they are real estate.” (Quindlen) These structures are no longer viewed as places of experience and reminiscence, they are given a literal and unemotional purpose. Perhaps the reason as to why nearly one million people are homeless is because they are no longer provided with the pure substance of what a home represents. A home is “everything” , one cannot be a fulfilled individual without one for it offers a sense of self, demonstrates a loving relationship and provides an unfailing feeling of entitlement.
However, what exactly does the House symbolize? I take it to symbolize the totality of the constituents of the humanity of an aesthetically, morally, and spiritually...
The place where I feel the most comfortable, and show my personality, is my bedroom. This is the place where I can really be myself and do what I want; it’s the place I come home to, and wake up every day. My room makes me feel comfortable because it is my own space. My house is always crazy, with my dog barking, and my siblings running around making noise, my room is the only place in the house where I can come and relax without caring about everything else, the only place that I can go to clear my mind.
Buying and owning your home is part of the American dream. Although the dream itself has since changed, the home still remains the main focal point. Today owning a home doesn’t necessarily mean a house. People now buy duplexes, cooperative apartments, and condominiums. For some families it could take up to a couple of generations before it’s able to have the capabilities of buying a home. To many people it means a certain achievement that only comes after years of hard work. It is a life altering decision and one of the most important someone can make in their lifetime. The reasons behind the actual purchase could vary. Before anything is done, people must understand that it’s an extraneous process and it is a long term project.
A home, many people spent their whole life in search of his or her home. It has many different definitions to different people. To some people it may be their home country, to some it may be where they were born, to some it may be where their family is. home's most basic trait is its ability to provide shelter from weather. Rain or snow, a house will always be there to shield the elements from the family. In the cold times of the year, the heater will be there to warm the house. The heat of the summer is no problem for a good home. The ideal dwelling definitely must have a dependable central air conditioner. When located in an area abundant with tornadoes and hurricanes, a home must have a safe place. A storm shelter or a basement is an excellent place to hide. But to most people home has more meaning than just dwelling it should be a place where their family is, where they could have family times together.
The process of building a house is a very complex and difficult task. In the following paragraphs, I will be explaining the many different steps that are required to build a house.
It was my dream to always own my own home. My wife and I set out to purchase a house on our own. In our process of trying to be first-time homeowners, we looked at so many houses until we were about ready to say maybe now is not the time. One day we were out driving not really looking and stumbled upon a house which we thought would be our home. We got the information we needed and made the call to see the house. The house was a newly built house with all the amenities my wife wanted. Not knowing the ends and the outs of purchasing a house, we thought that it could not be that hard. We went all in for this house, our house. The builder/realtor was not willing to negotiate the asking price of the house. We were even expected to pay closing cost. The contract included a lot of costs which we also found out were non-negotiable. Had we been represented by a agent, things may have gone a little differently. We were then told that there was another contract on the house and it would be taken. We lost the house we considered or thought would be our home.
