It is very important to memorize inspiring quotes like these for the reason that it will assist you to achieving your lifelong dreams or even brief targets that could possibly take a week to accomplish. Goals keep you ready for new things to come and in a way keeps you determined and excited. In this essay, I will discuss the reasons for my goals and the steps I will use to attain the important goals I have. The most crucial goal I have set for my high school career is achieving a four point zero or higher for all four years. When I consider all the major things high school has to offer, I believe that receiving good grades and even a good ACT score will be most beneficial in the long run. This is because universities will gain more attention to me. It is a dream of mine to become valedictorian for the reason that I will appear as a determined and dedicated person. I will not only attract beneficial things like colleges and jobs but, I will feel successful in my heart and that is all I could ever dream of. My goal states that I go to the university of my dreams which is the University Of California, Los Angeles. This school offers amazing programs and majors for artistic types of people. People need to think intelligently and set goals that are specific to their needs, making it possible to achieve their goals by making sure they are measurable and realistic and making it possible to build a support system around them; furthermore, they also need to set a deadline with time frames that can be met. Chanika Charles stated that “young people are at risk of being gobbled up by despair, overcome by conditions beyond their control” (A17). To avoid this, people need to start motivating themselves and getting excited about what they want to achieve, making sure their goals are relevant to their needs and being more perseverance when situations become difficult. When setting up their goals, they must ask that magic question: is this relevant to my lifestyle, furthermore, what will I do to achieve it?
Being a part of Appalachian State University’s Honors College would be an amazing privilege. According to the university, the Honors College has been providing superior education to intellectually-motivated students for more than thirty five years. Being a part of the Honors College would help me promptly reach the personal, intellectual, and professional goals I set for myself as well as optimize my college experience.
I encourage you to always stay determined and focused on anything you do so you can not just succeed but you can over-achieve. Without exception you need to stay open-minded and be careful of your actions cause everything you do can affect your legacy. I have always been a straight A student, so my number one academic goal is to maintain that streak all though college. My goals in college are to get involved with student government, play lacrosse graduate in the top of my class all my life of being in school I was always active not just a regular student.
