My Christmas break was fun. My cousin and I had went shopping at the mall the money we got for Christmas; that’s all we asked for. My mother, stepfather and brothers and sister came down to Jackson from Memphis; I live with my grandmother.
Before Christmas break, my mother had asked me a couple of times about what I want for Christmas; I told her that I didn’t know what I wanted. A few days before Christmas I went to Memphis with my mother and stayed for about three days and came back and by then it was Christmas Eve and everybody last minute Christmas shopping . The next day on Christmas everybody woke up and for a second we forgot it was Christmas but I remember and so around 11 we started to open presents, toys here, toys there,
just toys everywhere, and so my present was money because that’s what I wanted and opening present time came to an end and everybody was satisfied with was they got. We got dressed and went to nanas house for more presents and again I got all money and after that I had up to 200 dollars and so my cousin and I decided to go shopping at the mall and we did the next day and had fun, we bought this and that basically everything we saw and around 8 we was done shopping and we got in my car and drove to get something to eat and then we went home. My mother, stepfather, and brothers and sister came from Memphis down to Jackson to see everybody and have fun and communicate. So after they arrived I got more money and decided save it and so my grandmother had cooked, we ate up all the food, and I took a nap and by time I woke up everybody was ready to go to my great grandma house and so we drove to the country to my great grandma house and associated with everybody there and had fun; I personally was ready to go but my cousin kept me entertained. We left form the country and came back to town and decided to go shopping a little more but we decided to also take some stuff back to the store and so we took so stuff back and bought other stuff, we went to multiple stores and multiple items.
After an exhausting, but fun trip I realized that something good always comes out of something devastating. The thanksgiving break that I thought would be devastating turned out to be one of the best memories of my childhood.I learned a lot from this experience that I will carry on with the rest of my life.I also realized you have to make the most out of a situation that you don't like. This Thanksgiving Break will never be
Everybody knows why the Grinch stole Christmas. The Grinch was an orphan. He came from another planet far, far away maybe there was not enough air on that little dwarf planet. Not even enough for a mouse. This is why he fell off the planet and landed on an old ladies couch. She was very nice but Santa didn’t know he existed because he landed there on Christmas Eve after Santa had already made his rounds.
On a cold winter day, my family was getting ready to meet at my grandma’s house like we had done our whole lives. Christmas was one of the most important days of the year for the Robertson’s. Each aunt made entrées and deserts along with the delicious food that my grandma made each year. Food and family were the two main reasons everyone loved Christmas. On the way to Triune where my family lives, my mother started to cry which I thought was odd for
My mom had been going to school in Greeley and staying at my Aunt Margaret's house . She had been away for two weeks and wanted to come home for the Fourth of July weekend. My mom had suggested that I go back with her and visit colleges, shop, go to movies and just spend time together. I had been feeling pretty sorry for myself since she had been gone. I had been working alot as a maid and helping my dad run the house, I was getting very irritated with my siblings as I felt that I was the only family member doing my part to help my dad. I was really excited to have a week with my mom to myself. The whole ride over we were talking about what I wanted to do that week. Making plans and having "me time" seemed very important at the time.
After a long summer, the time has finally come for Sam and his classmates to return to school. Sam dreads going back to school, because he knows that the first weeks of school mean long, boring reviews. Despite the fact that Sam and his friends do not like to study topics they have already learned, they need to review because most students forget what they learned over the three-month break period. Many students can relate to Sam, wasting two weeks or more at the beginning of the school year. Parents, teachers, and students across the United States believe a better option exists that will waste less time. Many suggest the idea of a year-round school schedule. Almost all schools should adopt a year-round schedule because of the many advantages including higher academic
You might think that year round schools are the next best thing but that idea is not as good as you might think it is! In my opinion I personally think that year round schools are a bad idea!
How time does a teacher need to get ready for a new school term? One day? No one would suggest that one day is enough time to close out one term and prepare for the next, but that is exactly what happens in some school districts that have year-round schedules. For years different districts have been experimenting with these schedules, and now even more are considering converting to year round schedule. For many reasons, schools should stay with the traditional schedule.
I really didn’t do anything on Christmas break and It was boring because we didn’t go nowhere and I was just sitting at my house doing nothing and all I did was just play my games in my room with some friends on xbox and ps4. When Christmas morning was finally upon us my little brother woke everybody up to go open present’s and everyone got every gift they got and I got a little long box and I said “ i'm going to open that one last ” and when I opened my other presents I went to get that little long box and when I unwrapped it was a apple watch and I was so happy because I been wanting one for a long time.
Can you give an example of one thing about someone in the class room that you really appreciate?
My Dad wanted to take us parasailing, and my sister and Carrie (my new step mom) wanted to go shopping. We decided to wait for a boat to pick us up in the afternoon for parasailing, and before that we would go shopping. So we went shopping until we got hungry for some lunch. Me and Tori just wanted to get fast food because we didn’t want to be late for parasailing. My dad decided to just take us to Hardee’s, but it would take us awhile to get there because we had to go to the one closest to the boat, which was about an hour away. I love long car rides, so this was the time for rolling down my window and listening to my music on my
I was in 8th grade and it was the beginning of Christmas vacation. I get out of school for the start of my break. My mindset was that it was going to be a great vacation, away from school, I would be able to sleep in, and the best thing about it Christmas itself. Then I finally get home all ecstatic for the break to finally beginning. Within 5 minutes of being home I get a phone call from my mom that was hard to take in and ruined that vacation for me.
It was three weeks before Christmas when my little sister Emily barged into my room. I was busy preparing gifts for the holidays and also was listening to music. I took an earbud out to listen to what she had to say, but I still was not facing her. She then asked if Santa was real. In my busy state of mind, I nonchalantly said yes and urged her out of my room so I could finish what I was doing. At the time, I did not think much about my response.
I never thought it would happen to me, but it did, I remember the day, 9 days before christmas, and my parents agreed to have one last christmas together, to pretend everything was okay. My youth pastor
Christmas was always a big event in our family. We always spent Christmas Eve with my father's family and Christmas Day with my mom's. There was always a lot of food and many gifts, but for the first four or five years of my life, I had no clue what we were celebrating. I really don't think I cared too much, being a young child caught up in all the excitement. And I had something to call it. Christmas. That's all I really needed until I stumbled upon a Christmas special on television entitled A Charlie Brown Christmas. I must have been four or five years old at the time, I can't remember for sure, but I don't think I had started kindergarten yet. But I know I was curled up in a Sesame Street sleeping bag in front of our old television set, one of the small older models instead of the giant entertainment centers like we have now.
My most memorable Christmas is one from my past. I was about six years old. I clearly remember sitting in class on the last day of school before Christmas vacation anticipating the bell to ring and signify that the classes were finally over. As the bell rang, I ran out of that class, and once I got home I was ready in an instant to leave for my grandmother’s where I would spend my holidays. It was a two hour drive to my grandmother’s house. I was very impatient throughout the entire drive. I couldn’t wait to see my grandma, my cousin, and my aunts. To make things better, however, snow started to fall filling me with hopes of a snowball fight the next day.
