As I begin my rewarding career as I teacher, I sit and reflect on what my goals and priorities are in the classroom. I am excited to be engaged in a future career where I can implement my own beliefs and mold the future into something extremely positive. I believe the most important aspects that I want to bring to my students are threefold: I want to educate, motivate, and inspire.
In order to have a productive learning environment where I will be able to educate my students, many different factors must take place. First and foremost, it is important to me that I master exceptional classroom management skills. Effective and efficient learning takes place when expectations in the classroom are consistent and clear. Also, discipline in the classroom will be proactive and understood by all students beginning on day one. Being proactive is extremely important for me and my students to have a productive day in a happy and healthy classroom setting. I will always provide an environment where the students feel safe, which then in turn, they can increase their learning to their maximum potential. Being proactive is about being prepared and in control, always being ready to take the next step, and to solve a problem before it arises. If rules are enforced well, the classroom will have a predictable environment, less disruptions, and encourage students to use self-control and make positive choices. Next, in order to educate effectively, I believe in building a sense of community in the classroom. If a well-established community takes place, the students will be able to have a positive relationship with each other and myself. It’s funny how quickly time flies by it seems like just yesterday I was complaining about writing the first part of this assignment. Looking back at it now, the reasons why I want to become a teacher remain the same. I want to inspire, shape, encourage, and mentor my students. I want to make the kind of impact on each and every single one of them that they will carry on for the rest of their lives. Whether it be simply believing in them, and telling them that I know they are capable of accomplishing anything they want to, or helping them through a tough time. My desire to become a teacher has increased tremendously the past 16 weeks, and I am so eager and excited to finish my education to begin my teaching career.
In my first years of teaching I plan to get a better understanding of my school community and the surrounding community, so I know where and how to get support for my students. I plan on attending trainings to keep up with the various concepts and principles that I will have to follow when teaching. I will also need to develop deeper understandings of adolescent development which will help when I am teaching to see changes in behavior and understanding and how it relates to each individual student. As a long term goal I will build relationships with fellow teachers to provide them support and learn together to become a team of advocates for our students. I know that it is up to me to grow and continue learning all that I can to provide my students the best learning experience possible.

No matter the position someone may hold in society everyone has progressed to where they are in life because they had a teacher, someone who taught them in the way they should go. Teacher as defined in the dictionary as one who instructs. To teach someone is to communicate skills and give instruction. Today I would like to tell you why I would like to become a teacher. Specifically speaking I will tell you what has led me to this decision and why I want to become a teacher.
I am very interested in pursuing my Masters Degree at some point, but my main goal is to get out into the school system as a teacher. The most important thing that I have learned in my life is the importance of education. Living in a world bursting with advantages and opportunities for those in education, I find it both a priority and a privilege to share the gift of knowledge with the future of society. Even more, I find it an honor to be able to have the chance.
Through my own experiences, and as enforced by others' opinions in the profession, I have found that teaching is one of the most rewarding careers. Not only are you placed in the position of instructing and guiding children and young adults through the life long learning process, but you are able to give back to the schools and communities which have supported your early education and experiences that opened you up to a bright future. In becoming an educator, I hope to someday share the knowledge and lend the helping, supportive hand that I was once given, allowing students to formulate their own perspectives of the multicultural society and world around them. Teaching is a career I have been interested in pursuing throughout high school, and as my experiences and study in the field expands, I feel that my desire to teach will grow stronger and develop more soundly.

The first main reason that I have chosen teaching as a profession is because I believe that it’s continuous rewards will help me to lead a happy and fulfilled life. For example, teaching young children is one of the few jobs in which you can give and receive hugs on a daily basis. Children have an innocence and a passion for knowledge that I find amazing and I do not feel complete unless I am around them. Teaching will help provide this fulfillment for me every day. Also, teaching is a job in which it is ok, and even encouraged, to laugh each and every day. I feel that this is important for a person’s well-being and I think that it helps to keep people young and alive. I feel that in many other professions the day-to-day routine would become monotonous and boring, and I do not think that I would live a truly happy and fulfilled life unless I could be around children. I feel that a classroom provides many unique and dynamic opportunities every single day and I find that very appealing. Also, I am a very relationship-oriented person and I feel that I will enjoy building unique relationships with each child. I plan on knowing every child as thoroughly as possible because I feel that this will help me to be better at my job.
If you are entering a teaching profession you can take away a lot of good themes from this book. I believe a lot of the teachers go through similar experiences like Mr. Mitch with his students. You will be working with students from different ethic backgrounds, cultures, race, and perspective, and it is your responsibility as a teacher to help these students succeed in and outside of your classroom. There may be cases where you are going to work with students who come from struggling families, and lack of proper resources to take their education serious. You cannot get discouraged about you can only try your best to help these students succeed regardless of the circumstances.

When looking forward seven years I am excited, nervous, and anxious for how my life will turn out. I am a very goal-oriented person so I have a concise plan for how I want the rest of my life to look like. Once I figured out I had a love for English, I quickly decided I wanted to be a teacher. In seven years, I plan on being married and starting a family as I go through the first couple years in my teaching career.

Teachers have the role of shaping students for tomorrow. They help them academically, personally, and socially. I cannot think of any other career that would be as rewarding as teaching. A teacher has the opportunity everyday to change a student’s life. One of the reasons I want to become an educator is because I want to have a positive influence on a student’s life. I think in today’s society it’s crucial for students to feel like they have a positive role model. I have seen what a large impact teachers have made on their student’s lives. That has made me to want to strive and do the same. Another reason for choosing this profession is that I simply love working with children. I do not think that there is any greater moment that when a student catches on to what you are teaching them. This makes the student feel better and it makes you feel like you have succeeded at your job. The final reason I want to become a teacher is that I feel that I have many great ideas, and I would love to communicate these ideas to my students.

A teacher is a person who provides education for pupils (children), or students (adults) using lectures, audiovisual aids, demonstrations, and computers to present academic, social, and motor skills. Teachers can also teach foreign languages, art, kids with special needs, and P.E. Teaching has changed a lot compared to the traditional methods of just lectures and textbooks. Students now are encouraged to actively learn through groups or individual projects. They have learning games, debates, and experiments to help them through the learning process. Being a teacher would be a great career for anyone who wants to further themselves, to help people, and to have great benefits (chronicle guidance publications).
In 1992, as a first year teacher, the principal gave me the classroom key, the teacher’s editions of texts, and asked that I teach 9th, 10th, and 12th grade English. I was alone with texts and no one to help or lead me. I reflected on my student teaching experience and missed the guidance and collaboration provided by my supervising teacher. A few weeks after school started, two new English teachers arrived; we became our own learning community, before the word was en vogue. We worked to establish standards and assessments to monitor student progress. We worked with teachers in the core subjects to create a cross-curricular culture that allowed us to identify and track the transferability of skills. We became school leaders, encouraging teachers to share their resources, to provide constructive peer evaluations, and to use data from formative and summative assessments to evaluate the curricular needs of the students. When reviewing what I have done to strengthen and improve the profession, I know that the role of mentor pushed me forward allowing me to be of service, and an example, to my peers.
As I get older, I will adapt to changes so my philosophy has the potential to change. In my opinion, that's great. It shows I'm learning and progressing. It can shows the students that change can be good if for the better. Through my college years I have became more progressive in the classroom. One thing won't change, and that is my passion for teaching. I will always have a passion for teaching. Some teachers teach, and do not have a passion for it. They go to work everyday hating their job. That will never be the case for me. Teaching is my passion and I won't stop until I have my own classroom. Until that happens, their will be something missing in my heart.
