Sports administration is a good choice because it connects with my interest, transferable skills, personality type and values. In sports administration you have to be able to work with diverse backgrounds, be able to work as a group, be able to make budget cuts and follow set procedures. Also you will have to be able to lead their athletic association and be able to speak with others. Which correlates with my two interest conventional and conventional. The Head Coach of the JV Football team has given me the honor of being his Special Teams Coach. This job requires me to train his kickers, punters, long snappers, and holders. Starting August 1st I began working with a kicker for 2 hours per day and he has shown major improvement over the past month and a half. In the beginning, though he was very pessimistic about his success and it took a lot of motivation on my part for him to not quit. When I began training him we had to begin from the ground up because he had never kicked a football before in his entire life which was a major barrier to his success we had to get over. The head coach thought that I did such a good job with the first kicker that now I am training 3 kickers. My job includes

In my future, I want to be a softball coach. But in order to be fulfilled with my job selection, I have to love the job and want to actually do the job that I want to do. I have always had a passion for sports. That is why sports marketing is a perfect career for me. I have watched and participated in sports for all of my life. I continue to participate in them today because I find joy and relaxation in sports. I have also found other careers through research that I have conducted. The other careers that I have researched are very appealing. Although they are appealing, I am going to go with my passion and become a sports marketer. The other two careers that I researched were a lawyer and a physical education teacher. Both had good qualities, but neither equate to my love for sports.
Choosing a career is one of the most important decisions a person will make in their life. Most people try to pick the career with the best financial gain and something they would like to do for the rest of their life. Foremost it is wise to see what the job entails. Sport Management is perfect for those who enjoy helping and working with people, especially when dealing with sports. This course has helped me in many ways, especially time management, health, and money. Instead of having a very relaxing week and then panicking at the end of the week when everything is due, this course has helped me to plan out my studies. Planning them out helps me produce higher quality work and assists me with my stress problem. One thing that has helped a lot is getting short easy assignments or parts of assignments done in short periods of extra time I have. For example, instead of turning on that TV, wait ten minutes and knock out an assignment. Another asset for myself has been setting dates to have assignments done. Although these assignments may not be due on that day, getting them done and out of the way, makes more time for other
When I started this semester I already knew what major I wanted to pursue.
